Flirting With My Ex-husband -
Chapter 887
Scarlett's current office was the one
Raymond used before he disappeared, and Scarlett had never changed anything in the office. The table and chairs were still the same as before. The closet inside the break room even had Raymond's spare clothes.
It was Alexander's first visit to Teuton after Raymond's disappearance. He used to come here looking for Raymond, so even if his eyes was closed, he was able to find Raymond's office easily.
He drove here directly after seeing the photo. The staff at the front desk recognized him and greeted him, and no one stopped him. Then, Alexander got into the elevator and went straight to the office. When Frank's assistant saw Alexander, he was stunned for a moment and then asked someone to greet Alexander after coming back to his senses.
However, Alexander looked grim, didn't say anything to the assistant, and sat in the office with a sullen look on his face.
It was the first time Phillip saw Alexander look like that, so he went to inform Frank in a hurry.
Frank got to know Alexander a bit. Thus, when he spoke to Scarlett, he couldn't help but defend Alexander.
And there were a lot of people waiting to see jokes in the circle. Many people had been making sarcastic remarks since the photo came out.
Frank believed Scarlett. However,
Alexander was one-track-minded, so he would not overthink it.
On the way, Frank followed Scarlett closely.
Scarlett saw Alexander before she even entered the office, and she had only seen him twice since Raymond's disappearance. And this was the first time Alexander came to Fenton to see her. Looking at Alexander's expression, Scarlett figured that he came here to blame her.
Scarlett stopped at the door and looked back at Frank. "Mr. Lewis, please make two cups of coffee for us."
Frank glanced at Scarlett. "Yes, Ms. Reed."
Scarlett curled her lips into a smile and walked in. "Mr. Smith, how come you have spare time to see me today?"
The moment Alexander heard Scarlett's voice, he stood up straight from the couch and looked at Scarlett.
Alexander had mixed feelings before he came to Tenton. He was a little disappointed, depressed, and resentful. During the ten minutes he had just sat there, he also thought about what questions to ask Scarlett.
At this point, Alexander didn't know what to say when he saw Scarlett face to face with him.
Alexander paused for a moment. Looking at Scarlett in front of him, he said after quite a while, "Are you really with another man?"
Scarlett knew that Alexander was having a hard time after Raymond's disappearance. Since Alexander came to see Scarlett in such a rush, he must be very concerned about Raymond.
If something had happened to her instead, and Raymond had found a new girlfriend six months later, Scarlett believed that Alexis would probably have approached Raymond to confront him as Alexander did. Alexander's friendship with Raymond was quite touching.
However, it wouldn't stop Scarlett from teasing Alexander.
Scarlett regained her composure and shot Alexander a cold look. "Mr. Smith, do you mind?"
"Of course "
Alexander stopped in mid-sentence.
Looking at Scarlett, he gritted his teeth. " Raymond has not been seen alive or dead until now And he may not have passed away. It's only been six months. Have you just given up?"
"I'm not giving up."
Scarlett said, looking at Alexander for a moment. "If I had given up, why would I be here now?"
Hearing Scarlett's words, Alexander almost couldn't breathe. "If you didn't give up on him, then tell me why you dated a man while you were out of the country negotiating a project? You say you love Raymond, but it's only been six months-"
"Ms. Reed, Mr. Smith."
At that moment, Frank came in with two cups of hot coffee and interrupted Alexander, who was angry.
Seeing Frank come in, Alexander felt even angrier. "Frank, you've been Raymond's secretary for almost ten years. Don't you have any opinion about this matter?"
