Chris said, "Get in the car."

Scarlett closed her umbrella and got in the car.

Chris handed her a handkerchief. She took it from his hand and said, "Thank you."

She wiped the rain on the back of her hands, glanced at him and asked, "Why do you return home?"

He said, "For a project."

She smiled, "I thought that you specifically come to me."

He looked at her and said, "You're right. I also come back to see you on purpose."

Hearing that, Scarlett clicked her tongue,"

It sounds untruthful."

Chris asked, "Why?"

Scarlett smiled and kept silent. She looked out of the window and changed the topic," Did you get off the plane not long ago? When did you arrive here?"

The flight was about ten hours. As soon as he got off the plane, he asked the driver to drive him here to see Scarlett.

The plane landed at 2 p.m. He arrived at Tenton at 4 p.m., but he didn't go upstairs to see her.

Chloe was right. He had lost his memories. If he met some acquaintances after he returned home but he didn't recognize them, Scarlett would feel more embarrassed and sadder. Tenton belonged to him once. If he got off the car, he would be recognized by someone. However, he didn't know them. If the news was spread, he would get Scarlett into trouble. Chris planned to wait for Scarlett to get off work. To his surprise, she wasn't in Tenton and came back just now.

He had just gotten off the plane and felt tired. He massaged his temples and said, "I arrive at Juanton City today. I will live in Silvary Hotel." Noticing that he was tired, she said, "You have just got off the plane. You're still jet-lagged. Would you like to go to the hotel and take a rest?" Chris shook his head, "Let's have dinner first."

Scarlett looked at him and didn't refuse.

Twenty minutes later, the driver stopped the car in front of Clear Waters. Scarlett glanced at Chris and said, "You liked to have meals here in the past." Chris said, "Is that so? My secretary recommends the restaurant to me."

Scarlett said, "Sure."

She opened the umbrella and got off the car.

Chris also got off the car, but he didn't open an umbrella. He stood beside the car and looked at Scarlett as if he was waiting for her to walk toward him. Scarlett arched her eyebrows and walked towards him with the umbrella.

He said, "Give it to me."

He took the umbrella from her hand. She let go and looked up at him. Only then did she realize that he was unshaven.

She raised her hand and touched his chin.

She said, "Your chin is covered with stubble."

After she did that, she realized that she had offended him.

She withdrew her hand and looked at Chris calmly. She said, "I'm sorry."

Chris changed the topic, "I have had many dreams recently."

He held the umbrella and walked towards the restaurant with her. He said, "But I don't know which one is true and which one is fake."

That night, what Chris had said was impressive for Scarlett.

'I can't forget it anymore.'

She looked down and hid her gaze. She said, "What did you dream about?"

He said, "I dreamed that you slapped me." Hearing that, she looked up at him and burst into laughter, "Maybe it's true."

Chris closed the umbrella and handed it to the doorman. As soon as they walked into Clear Waters, a waiter greeted them, "Hi, Ms. Reed, Mr. Shaw..."

Over the past six months, a rumor was spread widely in Juanton City. It was said that Raymond had been dead.

The waiter was surprised by Raymond who should have been dead six months ago.

Even the surrounding people felt surprised when they heard Raymond's name. They turned to have a look. The man who stood beside Scarlett was Raymond indeed! Chris returned home suddenly. Scarlett didn't know his purpose, but she had guessed people's reaction to Raymond's appearance.

The waiter was dumbfounded. He stood between Scarlett and Raymond motionlessly for a few seconds.

Scarlett passed over his rude action and smiled, "Excuse me, please get out of the way."

Hearing Scarlett's voice, the waiter came to sense and moved aside anxiously. The waiter apologized, "I'm sorry, Ms. Reed, Mr. Shaw!"
