Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life -
Chapter 1130
All of it had been handled by him. Flora paused, a bit surprised by the young man's response. Being illegitimate was always looked down upon, especially in prestigious families, where it was seen as the lowest of the low. No wonder the young man had developed such a Seeing her quiet, he gave a self-deprecating smile, thinking that, of course, no one would like him. After discovering his background, she must have started to dislike him too, right? But it didn't matter to him. It was all just a game, anyway.

streak.
In his eyes, no one was worth caring about; they were all just his playthings. He covered his injured hand, his voice low, "I should get going..." And with that, he turned to walk away. But then, Flora's voice stopped him.
"No one gets to choose their birthright, and being highborn or lowborn isn't your fault. You shouldn't feel sad or ashamed. What you should do is work hard to reach the top. One day, they'll remember your name and your achievements, not whether you were born out of wedlock. You'll be known by your own name, not just as someone's son."
Her voice was clear and strong. It reached his ears, feeling like warmth that made his ears burn. The young man tightened his grip on his wounded hand, surprise flickering in his eyes. He hadn't expected Flora to say something like that.
His life had always been unwanted. His mother died giving birth to him, his father abandoned him, tossing him into a medical facility to fend for himself and endure endless suffering. If he hadn't been rescued at five, he might not have survived. Everyone despised him, and even when he took his father's life, he was called a bad seed. "Sis, you..." He turned back to look at Flora, his expression complicated.
"Want some candy?" Flora pulled out two Tootsie Rolls from her pocket and tossed them to him. He caught them instinctively with his uninjured hand. The Tootsie Rolls, soft and still warm from her pocket, carried a warmth that reached his heart.
He felt something indescribable
inside him. But it wasn't a bad feeling. He popped the candy into his mouth, letting the sweetness spread. He smiled, a genuine smile this time. It was wider and more honest than before, less shadowed.
"So sweet," he said, recalling the cookies from before, then paused and added, "Sis, I'd love some more of those cookies you gave me last time." Flora's tone was easygoing: "Didn't bring any this time, but I'll bring you some next time."
"Okay!"
"I've got to go." Flora yawned, ready to catch up on some sleep. And perhaps have Connor whip up a strawberry cake for a late-night treat.
"Oh, by the way, sis, I'm A-Zheng," the young man called out from behind.
"Got it," Flora replied without turning, her voice relaxed. Behind her, the young man watched her until she disappeared from view, then looked down at his bloodied arm. He

Flora's eyes narrowed: "What happened?" Luiz, in a hurry, dragged her towards the square, explaining the situation as they rushed along.
