Heart Of A Lycan King -
Chapter 57
I smacked my lips one last time to make sure the red lipstick, I’m using for the first time ever, doesn’t look odd on my lips. I stared at myself in the mirror, then twirled around to see the back.
Very bold, Natasha. Very bold! I said, smiling.
I decided to dress myself up today. Without Tiffany’s or Allira’s help. Tiffany had left the house two hours ago for a quick visit to her pack, which Aiden had arranged. She was so happy about that. And so was I.
Now, as I stared at myself in the mirror, taking in the way I had carefully drawn the eye liner over my eyes. I packed my hair with a band in the middle, then dropped two locks on either side of my face. I didn’t do my brows, cause I couldn’t. But I loved how I looked right now. I spent hours watching makeup videos on YouTube just so I could do this and I’m happy.
I stood up, picked up my silver purse and looked at the shimmering, strapless black dress I wore. The dress was long, but had a slit on the right side that reached my knees. It hugged my thick curves, my h**s becoming prominent as well as my chest. I had never worn a dress like this, but for some reason, I felt good in it.
Plus, I wanted to look pretty for Aiden as well. But the important part here is that I did this for myself. Because I wanted to. Not only because I wanted to make Aiden happy.
I paired the dress with a gold necklace that covered a bit of my scar. But it didn’t matter now. I wear my scars with pride. Because like Aiden and Doc Lily said, it was evidence of how strong I am. How much I endured for so long. Although I was eager to step out this way, I can’t help the nagging feeling at the back of my mind that something might go wrong. That I may end up messing everything and people will shun me. It seems as though it is hard to ever get rid of those thoughts completely.
But I plan to ignore them all and focus on the good thoughts.
‘Yes, this woman right here is my Nat,’ Erin cheered. ‘You look gorgeous and amazing!’
‘Thank you, Erin. I feel gorgeous too,’ I replied.
‘I look pretty good myself,’ she said cheekily, shaking her fur. ‘Wonder if I can get a run tonight,’ she added.
‘It will be lovely to end the night with a run, Erin. You want a run, you get a run!’
‘You’re the absolute best, Nat! Thank you! Oh, I can’t wait to meet Leo!’
I laughed heartily at her happiness. I want to meet Leo too, I thought.
A soft knock came on the door and my heartbeat quickened. His scent invaded me before he even stepped in. And when he finally stepped in, I felt my jaw go slack!
Oh, Nyala! What a mate you have blessed me with!
He took slow steps towards me, holding a bouquet of white daisies in his hands.
He was dressed in a dark green suit, however, he wasn’t wearing the jacket. He wore a white dress shirt underneath the wide necked dark green vest he wore. The top three buttons open to show his neck and the way his throat bobbed every time he swallowed. Most of his hair was gone too. He had plaited it in four cornrows, with both sides lightly shaved. Almost similar to Kane’s. He had the rows tied into a knot. He looked…
“…Delicious,” I heard myself say, and Erin howled.
Aiden stopped in front of me, the combination of the cologne he wore and his scent was heavenly. “What’s that, Nala?”
I swallowed. How does his voice do this to me?
“Nothing,” I quickly said. “You just look…”
“Delicious?” He grinned, his eyes never leaving mine. Then he closed the few steps between us, the flowers the only thing in the middle. “Flowers for my beautiful woman,” he rasped.
I smiled, taking the flowers and inhaling their scent before I set them on the mirror. “Thank you.”
He didn’t say anything. He simply stared, and for a while, I thought my dress was the problem. At least, not until he took my right hand and spun me around carefully.
I heard his deep, throaty growl when he saw my back. My back was completely bare up to my waist. His fingers lightly grazed it before he turned me around to face him again. His eyes had darkened even more, before his left eye completely turned to gold while the other maintained its darkness.
Leo was here.
“I want to k**s you, Nala,” he whispered in a throaty voice. “I want to k**s you senseless till the only thing you remember is my name. To put it simply, I want to ravish you,” he finished, bringing his knuckles to my cheeks, before his thumb touched my bottom lips for mere seconds.
Zaps of electricity shot through me. Both at his words and the feel of his fingers on me. With the flowers between us now, my breasts were pressed against his chest. Soon, his hands circled my waist before he buried his face into the crook of my neck and inhaled deeply.
My knees grow weak, and I know if I don’t find something to support myself, I’ll fall. So, I placed my hands on his shoulders and felt the way he stiffened before he relaxed.
He pushed back, and stared at me. “You look beautiful, Nala. The black dress is perfect. And the red lipstick…” he trailed off.
“Thank you,” I smiled warmly. “It took me a while to get ready.”
“And that is the only reason I’m not kissing you or doing something even better right now,” he growled, then buried his face in my neck again.
I shuddered as his fingers trailed over my back.
I cleared my throat so I could speak. “Well, you did say kissing doesn’t always have to be on the lips,” I whispered, my voice a bit breathy.
He pushed back again, and this time, the intensity of his gaze was too much. At a point, both of his eyes flashed golden before they returned to being dark. Erin purred in delight, basking in the emotions our mate was stirring.
“Certainly. You are absolutely right,” Aiden replied, then brought his face to my neck again. This time, however, he didn’t bury it. He kissed and nipped at my neck, sending two different sensations at the same time. Ecstasy and pain.
I m****d, allowing my fingers to run behind his back. Erin’s purrs were so loud I wished I could shut her up and enjoy the moment. As though reading my thoughts, she moved back and blocked the bond.
‘This is too much. I’ll wait for my run.’ And that’s it.
Aiden continued his assault on my neck, and I was not about to ask him to stop. He moved from my neck, to my jaw, to my exposed shoulders, and back to my neck again. After a while though, he stopped and simply breathed in heavily. Same way I did.
“I should stop before I ruin this,” he murmured, and I nodded as he pulled back. “And look, I gave you a mini mark,” he murmured, trailing his index finger on my neck.
I turned a bit and a slow dazzling smile crossed my lips when I saw the little hickey he left right above my collarbone.
“I love it,” I said softly, trailing my finger on it, and feeling the way my body shot each time. “Thank you!” I grinned.
Aiden chuckled. “Happy to see your excitement,” he said. “Shall we?” He offered his elbow.
“I just need to put on my shoes,” I replied, pointing to the high heeled silver shoe I picked out.
“Sit, let me help,” he said, guiding me to the chair and kneeling before me. The golden tint in his eyes had vanished, and he looked okay now. He looked more relaxed than he did moments ago. I felt the same way.
I sat and stretched my leg to Aiden. He looked at me, his mouth curling in a lopsided grin. “You have beautiful feet, Nala. Permission to do something?”
I crinkled my eyes at him before I nodded.
Aiden being Aiden, brought my feet to his mouth and kissed each toe before he sucked each one of them. Then he trailed k****s up to the length of my legs the dress had exposed.
Smoking freaking Nyala!
I couldn’t think straight, my head was already spinning around.
“Now, lets get those shoes on,” he said, a huge grin plastered on his face. As though he wasn’t the one that had just finished ravishing my feet!
I simply stared at him as he clasped my shoes in place then looked up at me. I smiled, my heart filled with so much joy. For some reason, I recalled something and couldn’t help chuckling.
“What’s funny?”
“Nothing. You just remind me of someone.”
“Who?”
“Alpha Markus,” I smiled.
“Who’s Alpha Markus?” Aiden growled, his eyes darkening.
“My crush,” I grinned, loving how I was teasing him. After all, he teased me first with the toe thingy.
“Nala…” he growled, his palm that still rested on my leg squeezed, his tone had a warning edge to it.
“What? Can’t I have a crush?”
“But I’m here. Your mate.” He argued.
“Doesn’t mean I can’t crush on fictional characters.” I grumbled, feigning annoyance.
He looked at me for a while before we both burst into laughter.
“I have to admit it. You got me right where it hurts.” He confessed.
“Well, don’t worry. No one can take me away from you. He’s just a fictional character from a book I’m currently enjoying on the novel app.”
“That’s settled then,” he grinned, stood up and stretched his hand to me. I slipped my hand into his and stood up, feeling different with the shoes.
“Well, now we are the same height!” Aiden laughed.
“Does that bother you?” I asked.
“Not even a bit,” he shook his head as we stepped out of the room. We didn’t talk much as he led me outside to the car. I’ve never seen him with this car. It was a black Toyota Corolla car, shining underneath the lights from the bulbs scattered around.
“Wow! She is beautiful!”
“I got her this morning.” Aiden beamed. “And she’s all yours!”
I looked at him shocked. “What?”
“You heard me right, Nala. The car is yours. I’ll teach you how to drive.” He replied, pulling the door of the passenger seat. “Now, get in so we can start our date night.”
I said nothing and slid into the car, a cool air and his scent hitting me. Somehow, I knew this was going to be a perfect date night!
