Her Destined Alpha
Chapter 80

RAYHAN

We were all seated in the large drawing-room of Magdalene’s home. It was just several members of the coven. Clearly, it wasn’t an open event, a large screen had been connected to the heads of the coven in Salem.

Three elders were sitting there, each one emotionless, yet you could tell they were not pleased. Magdalene had already filled them in on everything before we had even entered.

When we had come in, we had taken our seats. Raihana was sitting next to Chris, and although I had no idea what went down between the two that night of the barbeque, one thing I was sure of, something had happened. There was an understanding between them, yet at the same time, I saw the fact that they wanted one another, but clearly weren’t going for that.

I sat back, and now all eyes turned on me.

“You had a proposal, Alpha Rayhan.” Magdalene said, her eyes flittering to Uncle.

Despite knowing he was the king, it was clear he was just going to watch in with minimum input.

“I get that there’s a group out there that’s hunting witches, but there are also witches killing werewolves.

However, we can’t judge every single witch or werewolf down to these two groups, can we?”

“It’s probably Reginald. Who is targeting the wolves.”

Someone inputted.

“Maybe, let him continue.” One of the men on the video call said coldly.

“I don’t know what the situation is with America and your agreement or condition there, but if the new council here in the UK is free of corruption and are willing to agree to the offer that I put on the table, it’s simple. We won’t interfere in your lives, you won’t interfere in ours. We will make sure our people know that we are at peace with yours, and you will do the same.

And if… Anyone who breaks these rules will be trialled and held responsible for their crap, because we all know that every species has monsters. We have had our fair share of them, and I am sure we saw earlier today that even you had a lot of snakes in your midst.” I said clearly.

My eyes flitted from one council member to the next, making sure they all understood what I was saying.

“How can we know you will uphold your promise?” One of the elders spoke.

I looked at the screen, my eyes flashing green.

“If I wanted you all dead, you would be… Trust me, despite that it may have been unknowingly, you all let an innocent child f*****g suffer under your protection.

So, you really don’t have much scope for arrogance. We are f*****g looking past your damn mistakes and trying to f*****g help both sides. Take it or leave it.

Because if it’s war you want, we’re ready for it.”

“And don’t forget, this time, the werewolves will have witches on their side.” Raihana added.

“Is that a threat?” One of the men said, looking at Raihana.

“If you want it to be. Put aside your da*mns ego and decide what is best for your people.” I said sitting back, placing my arm around my kitten’s slender shoulders.

“After what I saw… What Reginald has done to the castle, breached our defences and left us literally for dead, they need to be tracked and held responsible.

Everything we learned from Janaina, Delsanra and the Alpha, it’s clear that many crimes have been committed under our noses. For the betterment of our people, a peace treaty sounds fair.” Edward said.

The three men seemed to be deep in thought for a moment before nodding curtly.

“When you were sent to England, I gave Reginald the reigns to be in charge… With him gone, it is in your hands, Magdalene. Choose your council and the decision is yours.” One of them said.

“If you think a treaty is better than war with the wolves then so be it. Do they guarantee their people won’t attack?”

“As I said, you have our word.” I said firmly.

“I can vouch that they keep their words, even though I dislike them.” Janaina added.

The men now turned to her before Uncle sat forward taking a drag on a cigarette that I had no idea where he got from.

“I give you my word too, I’m behind the future Alpha of the Black Storm Pack.” Uncle added.

The men nodded slowly.

“Very well then, and what of you, Janaina Silver?

Despite it all, things are cleared, you should return to the coven.”

“I don’t think so, I will be leaving, I mean-“

“We need members on this council who can be trusted, Janaina we were once friends. Don’t you think you could stick around and help rebuild this coven and to make sure the same things do not happen again?”

Magdalene asked, frowning.

Janaina frowned, and I knew she was considering it.

“There should be rules and regulations for everything to be clear and elders being chosen wisely. The fact that this council had several corrupt members at the head is disgusting.” She said coldly.

“Reginald was smart, he chose some of those members.

You can’t blame us for that!” One of the men on the screen snapped, clearly offended by her words.

“A true leader accepts their mistakes.” Delsanra said confidently.

She had been fairly quiet observing and listening, but now she stared at the men on the screen firmly.

“The thing is, you let it slide, surely there were red flags ..Elder Dylan.. I personally remember pleading with you at one point to not send me home with Samson. A lot needs to be changed within your system. Make those changes, accept your wrongs and either take control or I’m sure there are many that can take the position as leaders and actually do good for their people.” She said frowning slightly.

The man on the left clenched his jaw, and the one in the middle raised an eyebrow.

“We will conduct a clear out here too. Magdalene, Edward, I will leave the rest to you. When you find Reginald and the others, they will be trialled-“

“They won’t be alive to be trialled. When I get my hands on them, they’re dead.” I said coldly, my eyes flashed green as once again anger flared inside of me.
