Her Forever -
Chapter 52
Sadie
The next three days were hectic. There was major lovemaking, party planning, make-out sessions, more party planning, and on top of that, the Council of Supreme Beings were set to arrive at any moment. Seth broke the news to me that I didn’t kill King Drago and that he was sitting in the cells down below the pack house. All his power was completely drained using the UV lights, so he was as strong as a human.
In my heart, I was glad. I didn’t want that on my conscience. I would rather have the council take care of it, even though they were going to have me talk about everything that had happened.
The meeting room that I had been in a few times before was completely filled with beings I had never seen before. Seth held my hand as we started our way to the head of the table. My father was at the head since he was the one that had called for the meeting while my mother sat on the right. Seth and I sat at the left of him with me sitting on his lap. Seth had been very possessive the past few days, and he wouldn’t let me out of my sight or let me leave his touch. Not that I minded, anyway.
As soon as we sat down, other supernaturals came to sit at the table. There were several that caught my eye. Most of them all had the basis of a human, but other unearthly looks about them. One had pointed ears, and their eyebrows were more slanted upwards near their temples. They weren’t the normal color of eyebrows, more of purple, pinks, white, and even blue colors. Their hair would match the same as the eyebrows and flowed continuously down to their waist, both male and female. They looked like an earthly angel.
Sensing my wonder, Seth spoke through the mind link, “Those are faes or fairies.” Seth spoke to me. “They may be beautiful, but they love to play tricks and manipulate people. However, they can never lie. It’s quite impressive, actually.”
There were vampires, witches and sorcerers, and others that looked just like normal people, but I found out they were other types of shifters besides werewolves. There weren’t many of their species, but they were there. Gnomes, Elves, and even one seer came to the meeting. My favorite fairytale books had every single one of these creatures described poorly. All of them were beautiful in their own unique way.
“If we could go ahead and have this meeting come to order, that would be preferable,” my father used his booming voice. All hints of laughter and mischief were gone as he stood up from the large oak table. His hands were placed neatly on the table, leaning over as if ready to hear a secret.
“One of the reasons I called you all here today is that my long-lost-daughter, Sabrina, has been brought home.” Father looked at me while I was on Seth’s lap and gave me his toothy grin and a wink. The table erupted in applause, talking and whispering to one another. A few of the male faes winked at me and gave me a small wave. Seth’s grip tightened and shot daggers with his eyes, letting them know I was spoken for.
“Seth, your scent is all over me. I don’t think they would dare try.” I leaned down and kissed his mark.
“You don’t know them. Faes would do it to piss me off,” he grumbled.
“Sounds like someone had a bad run-in with a few.” The faes started snickering and whispering to one another.
“Story for another time,” he grinned and kissed me deeply.” Father pounded on the table to grab everyone’s attention.
“Now, there have been several crimes committed regarding my daughter, heir to the Moon Kingdom, that should not go unpunished. My daughter has every right to kill the bastard herself, but she willed herself to bring him before the council.” There were whispers and comments about who the perpetrator might be. Several of the vampires at the table seemed to know who it was because their own king wasn’t present. The three members slid a bit back in their chairs, and I couldn’t help but giggle.
“Bring in the prisoner,” my father waved. King Drago was pulled in by three massive warriors, and he covered in chains along with a portable UV light that followed his every move. He looked terrible. There were bruises around his eyes. The giant teeth marks I had used to grab him by his neck were still oozing. His eyes caught hold of mine, and I continued to stare at him. I wasn’t about to look down and show any weakness now. I beat him at his own game by using strength.
They sat him down on the opposite side of the room. Gasps and talking erupted around the room, seeing where the King of Vampires sat. The Elves looked in confusion from Drago back to me. “Your highness, if I may as a question?” My father nodded.
The elf stood shorter than the average human, yet beautiful. He was about 5 feet tall, hair that flowed to his shoulders. Ears were pointed, and their noses were small and dainty. “I am Thamus, Elf representative of the Tribe. His wife is with child, so I am here.” Thamus spoke. “We have alliances with the vampires since our small kingdom is on their large borders. King Drago said he had found his mate and was pursuing her for the past few months. Does he claim Sabrina?”
My father’s face contorted in anger. “Sabrina is NOT that vampire’s mate. Alpha Seth from the Warrior Pack is her true mate. Drago used compulsion to make her forget her origins so she would not understand the mating process and become his.” Angry talking and loud whispers made the room loud, almost too loud for my ears. I had yet to learn how to control my hearing from Gaia, and even the smallest sounds I could hear were deafening.
Holding my ears tight, Seth let out a loud growl that silenced the room. “Not only,” Seth spoke, “not only did he separate her from family but also kidnapped her twice and tried to force himself onto her.”
There was silence. Not one person spoke in the room. Everyone stared at me, and I couldn’t help but bury my head in Seth’s neck. To hear about it all over again brought back memories of him trying to touch me, rip my clothes off of me and do things that were just unthinkable.
Thamus stood up and adjusted his trench coat. “Not to cause any disrespect, but in honor of his council to help aid in proper punishment, I think we need to truly know. Are, in fact, Seth and Sabrina true mates? There is no question?” That was probably the stupidest thing the elf could say because one moment I was sitting in Seth’s lap, and the next, he was shifting in front of the entire council. Seth’s wolf bounded towards the elf in question across the long table and let out the biggest roar the pack house could handle. The walls shook, the picture frames fell, and even the faes jumped back.
While everyone was stone cold, in shock, frozen in their own time, even my dear parents, started giggling. Some glanced at me to see if I had lost my mind, but I couldn’t help it. To me, Seth’s wolf was like a big puppy to me.
“Oh puppy, he was kidding. Come back and sit down. Someone get him some shorts?” With another snarl at the elf, which I was sure just pissed himself, Caspian came back and jumped to the floor. Instead of shifting, Caspian sat beside me and looked at Thamus while licking his teeth. “Caspian, no playtime later if you can’t be nice,” I warned. Caspian looked at me and smirked and gave a quick lick on my cheek.
“Does that answer your question, Thamus?” My father choked back a laugh with a cough. He nodded and sat back down while the other elf gave him a towel to clean the sweat off his forehead and maybe his pants.
All the while, Drago was sitting in the corner, sitting with the rope gag in his mouth. Not once did I glance at him. Even though I didn’t want to be a part of the voting of the execution, as a future queen, I knew it was needed of me. At least I was not the executioner.
Father went on telling the entire council of his crimes, some crimes that he broke I didn’t know there was a rule for, such as trying to force a human into being his mate and smuggling her into Bergarian and leaving Bergarian without permission of Bergarian Customs Department. It was also brought up by his mistreatment of the entire Vamparia Kingdom. The representatives all attested and witnessed his torture to his own subjects and forced many to become warriors when they would rather live in peace. The list grew longer and longer, and my heart sank more and more. He really was wicked, not just to me, but to everyone he had in contact with. His poor half-sister, Diana, felt much of the force for so many years.
Father raised his right arm to the square as if he was taking an oath. “All in favor of those who deem King Drago, King of the Vampires, to be guilty of these crimes. Please raise your right hand.”
It was unanimous. King Drago was found guilty on all charges, and his sentencing would be broadcasted throughout Bergarian while he spent his time sitting in a brightly lit cell. His execution would yet to be determined.
Drago shook in his chair in anger, yelling obscene things, I’m sure. He rocked his chair so hard he fell right over, and the warriors just picked him up and carried him outside, where an SUV was waiting for him.
“Where are they taking him?” I asked. Nathan walked up behind me while Seth trailed me, still in his wolf form.
“To the royal palace in their dungeons. You think these dungeons are bad; the royal ones are worse. They have great tools for awesome torture,” Nathan smiled manically. I looked up at him and took a few enormous steps away from him.
“Freak,” I whispered at him.
We both started laughing, and as we calmed down, I turned serious again. “No, seriously, you peed on my porch, and you are a freak.” Nathan blushed in embarrassment, and Caspian let out a low growl. “It was quite funny, though,” and I walked away, putting my two fingers at my eyes and back at him, letting him know I was watching him.

After the council had met, everyone stayed. There were extra rooms at the hotels in town for events such as these. Sometimes large packs would come in for mixers at the lake house to find mates, and now they can use them again for such a grand party that was to be our mating ceremony tomorrow. Mother said that mating ceremonies are not normally this large, usually just the pack members, but since I was the lost princess, everyone wanted to be a part of it.
Seth’s, and I’s story was certainly unique. He made me grow in ways I never thought I could. I didn’t go out looking for love, but there he was at the club in all his glory. A terrible rejection ended up turning into a lovely beginning and going with no family to almost an entire nation.
“Hey, princess! Get your head out of the clouds! We gotta get you prepped for tomorrow! I got the wax all heated!” Rebecca screamed from the third-floor window to the ground below. I looked at Seth and grabbed ahold of his fur, and hopped on. “Sorry, going for a run! Byeeee!”
“Come back here right now!!!” Rebecca screamed as Seth jumped into the forest with me, squealing in a fit of giggles on his back.
