His face twisted at the memory of her words. Suddenly, his hand wrapped tightly around her neck.

Sophia was shocked. Her heart was filled with fear as her eyes widened. "Colin..." As Colin's grip on her neck tightened, she struggled to call out his name.

His eyes suddenly turned red. Sophia used all her strength to say, "Colin... I love you..."

Her sudden confession made him come back to himself. He kept his grip on her without tightening it further. He sneered, "Love me? Is this the way you love me?" She shook her head. "The baby..." Before she could tell him that the baby was his, she remembered her father's safety...

She hadn't cried for a long time but in that moment, tears welled up in her eyes.

She kept telling herself to be strong. But after seeing Colin, she couldn't control herself... All her grievance and sadness rushed out like a tide.

Her tears made him uncomfortable. He approached her and said, "If you keep crying, I can't guarantee your child's safety!"

Sophia quickly wiped away her tears. Ignoring the grip on her neck, she wrapped her arms around Colin's waist and said pitifully, "I miss you..." Colin's rationality collapsed. He loosened his grip on her neck and lowered his head to kiss her.

Sophia was surprised by his kiss. Did he still love her? Why else would he kiss her?

When Sophia thought Colin would go further, he let her go without hesitation and went straight to the bathroom.

Sitting on the bed, Sophia slowly arranged her clothes and hair before she turned off the air conditioner.

When Colin came out of the bathroom, Sophia was already lying down in bed with her back to the bathroom.

Colin stood by the bed, his cool body wrapped in a bath towel.

Although Sophia had her eyes closed tightly, she obviously wasn't asleep.

He grabbed her up by the arm to make her sit up. "Do you want to sleep?"

Sophia looked up at the tall man. "No, I was waiting for you..." Since he didn't show up frequently, she was too excited to fall asleep. Colin found her straightforward response ironic because the way he saw it, she was merely trying to make up for her mistakes...

He pinched her face with his five fingers, making her red lips open slightly. "I forgot to ask you, have you ever served him like this?"
