Her Revenge Contract -
Chapter 33
Xavier's
POV
I had a hard time falling asleep last night. Kate's beautiful face was haunting my dreams, and I couldn't get her perfect, perky breast out of my mind.
"F*ck!" I moaned, staring at the ceiling. It was pure torture to not be able to grab her and make passionate love to her. She looked so perfect in that thin, see-through robe of hers.
My mind raced, and my c*ck twitched. I would love to see her in some red lingerie-ones with lace.
My c*ck hardened at the thought, and I licked my lips.
I wouldn't be able to resist her... F*ck! Even now, I can't resist her beauty! Or even her body and mind..!
My alarm clock screamed like a b*tch next to me, indicating the start of a new day. I shut the thing off, jumped out of bed, grabbed a pair of exercising pants and a shirt, and put them on, then headed toward the training arena on the pack grounds.
It was still early, and the warriors and some pack members would arrive soon. I usually exercise in my private gym, but today I didn't feel like it.
I needed fresh air, and open spaces, where I could run around and burn the overwhelming feeling of excitement out of my system.
I couldn't wait to see Kate's face later today.
I wanted to hear her gasp surprise when we walked in there with rows and rows of diamond rings, for her to choose...
I wanted to see her eyes sparkle in delight as she picks one and put it on... and I wanted to see her face flustered crimson, leaving evidence of her embarrassment on her shy smile...
A smile played on the corners of my lips.
I would do anything and everything to find a way to have Kate fall in love with me... to make her believe that she was good enough for me... that I wanted her and only her!
My feelings were more than what the bond could provide me. I was drawn to her, like a moth to a flame... and I wanted to be burned by her... I wanted to feel her soft curves under my body, hear her breathing escalate as my c*ck pushed inside her, taste her sweet strawberry lips on mine... and hear her moan my name...
"Morning Alpha."
My head snapped in the direction of the voice, seeing Greyson walking into the training arena, clearing all my dirty thoughts...
I sighed.
I guess when Greyson couldn't find me in the gym, he came and searched for me on the training ground.
Most of my warriors train here, every day, for at least four hours.
We were lucky enough to not have a lot of rogue attacks, but we still took precautions and were vigilant.
I still ensured that every pack member was properly trained in case of an attack.
"Morning," I greeted him a bit more excited than attended to, and continued with my warm-up exercises. Greyson stripped himself of his tracksuit jacket and started to warm up as well.
"Are you in the mood for some sparring?" I asked.
Greyson nodded his head, and a cocky smile spread over his lips.
That just means he was out to give me a hard time...
We took our spots and sized up one another.
Greyson pounced forward, and his fist connected with my jaw.
"So you want to ruin my handsome face before I pop the big question?" I growled at Gresyon and rubbed my jaw.
"Your face needs some color, Alpha!" Greyson taunted and chuckled, "And black works..."
I shook my head and smiled at his comment, then went straight at him, kicking him in the gut, and sending him to the floor.
A couple of warriors had arrived for their training session and they were standing around, watching and cheering us on.
Greyson got to his feet and readied himself for his next attack. He wouldn't be so lucky as to have a second chance to hit me on the jaw.
I waved Greyson closer, and he didn't hesitate and pounced forward.
I shifted my body to the side and grabbed him around the neck, bringing him down hard and pinning him to the floor.
"Submit!" I playfully growled, knowing he wouldn't.
"Never!" Greyson yelled and found a way to pull my legs from under me, sending me to the floor.
Bloody wolf, I growled and pushed him off.
We both got to our feet, panting out of breath.
"I think that is enough for today," Greyson said, "before I leave more marks on your pretty face, Alpha..."
"Aaw!" The warriors next to the training mat moaned.
"It just got interesting!" Someone else commented.
Greyson and I barely did any sparring together, thus the reason for the excitement from the warriors.
The only reason we did not do sparring together was because we knew each other's moves quite well. It was just pure luck that Greyson managed to hit me on the jaw.
"We see it as a draw!" Greyson said, turning his attention toward the group, "And you all better get back to training or..."
Greyson shifted his head toward me, and the warriors' eyes widened.
"... or, I would extend your training by two more hours..!"
The warning was loud and clear and the warrior rushed off toward the instructor who was patiently waiting for us to finish.
"Someone is in a good mood!" Greyson stated, "Is it because of a certain lady friend..?"
"I am," I answered, "I just didn't have much sleep last night..."
"That bad, huh?" Greyson asked and grabbed his towel and dried the sweat from his face.
"You tell me," I answered, "is everything organized for today?"
"Yes," Greyson answered with a nod of his head, smiling. "NW Jewelers will meet up with us at 10 a.m."
My first and fated mate was never satisfied with what I had gotten her and because of that, I asked Greyson to arrange a jeweler. I was secretly hoping that Kate would choose her own ring when the time came. "Good," I replied, grabbing my bottle of water.
"I also gave the manager Kate's ring size and told him to ensure he brought the whole collection in her size..."
"Thanks! You are a lifesaver!"
Greyson's gaze moved over my face, and I scrunched my eyebrows together.
"What?" I asked, feeling a bit self-conscious.
"Aren't you nervous?" He asked, seriously.
"Not really," I answered, "I'm just not sure how she would react?"
Getting engaged was a big deal, but Kate was still acting the part. I wasn't.
"She will come around, eventually," Greyson said.
"I hope so. Ray is getting impatient... and..." I sighed, frustrated.
"I understand," Greyson said, "come on, I need to stretch Luke's legs. He's been pestering me to get out more."
I nodded my head in agreement.
Maybe the run will calm Ray down too. I haven't shifted for a while, and it does make our wolves depressed and agitated when we don't let them out often.
I stripped myself of my clothes and let Ray take control and a moment later we were shifted into our black beast.
Greyson's wolf yapped at us, excited to be out, and Greyson turned his massive head. Excitement bubbled up inside us, and he darted toward the forest with Greyson's wolf hot on our tail. We shifted back, got dressed, and headed to the pack house for breakfast.
Greyson waited for me in the parking lot after we had breakfast and had changed for work.
"Are we driving together?" He asked.
"We might as well," I answered.
Greyson grabbed the SUV keys, and we went our way.
The drive to the office was fairly quiet, and my mind was occupied with today's to-do list.
I have canceled most of my meetings for today, hoping that after Kate picked a ring, we could go out and do something.
Greyson parked the SUV in the underground parking space in one of my many designated parking spaces and we both got out and took the stairs to the reception desk. We signed ourselves in and headed toward the elevator.
Greyson pressed the call button and the elevator opened its doors. A familiar scent of lilies lingered in the air, yet I was too distracted to really give any attention to it.
I sighed in contentment as soon as the elevator doors opened on my floor... I was ready and happy, and nothing would ruin my good mood.
That was until I entered my reception area, and my secretary rushed to my side, seemingly nervous and on edge.
"Morning Mr. Black." She said and blocked my way toward my office.
I narrowed my eyes at her, confused by her behavior. Something was wrong... Lidia wasn't a nervous person.
"Morning," I said and turned toward Greyson, who looked just as confused at her as I was.
"What's wrong, Lidia?" Greyson asked and shifted his head to the side.
"Uhm, sir, we have... we... we," she panicked.
We have what?
"Spit it out!" I growled, impatiently.
"There is..."
"Morning Xavier," the familiar female voice came from the entrance of my office and my heart sank to my shoes.
