Katherine's POV

Thirty minutes later, I was bathed, dressed, and ready to go, and I decided to wear a simple yellow summer dress.

I closed the door behind me, hearing the lock click into place.

Xavier walked out of his room a few seconds after me.

My gaze moved over his goddess-given features as he stood there under the hallway light.

Xavier was dressed in casual wear, something I hadn't really seen him do. Except for earlier today, he was now dressed in a black stretch shirt and blue jeans. His muscles flexed under his shirt as he moved his arms, and I unconsciously licked my lips. "Close your mouth," he said, chuckling amusedly, "you might swallow a fly!"

My face flustered, feeling embarrassed, and Xavier walked closer, lifting my chin.

"You do know you look beautiful," he complimented.

"Thank you," I said, and he pecked my lips.

"Let's go." Xavier smiled and held out his hand.

Although we walked side by side, Xavier looked happy and greeted every person passing us by, while I was shy, hiding behind him.

"Where are we going, Xavier?" I asked.

"Taking a walk toward the forest," he answered, "Ray wants to take a run, and we thought you would enjoy going with him."

"But, Xavier, I can't shift," I argued.

"We know," he said, stopping, "but you can ride on Ray's back."

My mind raced back to the night I met Ray. I remember being scared.

We got to the edge of the forest, and Xavier stripped himself of his clothes.

My eyes roamed over his perfectly sculpted body.

Goddess, he was beautiful!

Xavier shifted into his wolf, and as soon as his front legs hit the forest floor, he turned toward me and gestured for me to get on.

I slowly approached the huge wolf, then got on his back, feeling his fur brush against my thighs. I moved my fingers through his thick fur, and small electric sparks erupted everywhere my bare skin touched.

Heaven! This felt so...

Ray got to his feet, breaking the haze I had felt, picked up Xavier's clothes, and lifted his head. He wanted me to hold on.

I grabbed the fur around his neck, holding on tightly, and Ray shot forward like an arrow.

I yelled out, surprised, but didn't dare to let go.

The quiet sound of Ray's paws hitting the forest floor had become a sexual heartbeat echoing in my ears.

"Where are you taking me?" I whispered, hearing a downpour close by and seeing the forest thickening around us.

Ray pushed forward, running even faster than a few minutes ago. Excitement was clearly filling the space between us.

Around the next huge tree, Ray slowed his running to a slow jog until he completely came down to a walk.

He lifted his head and took a whiff of the surroundings, then slowly moved among the overgrowth before us.

I laid into Ray's body as he pushed through, and a minute later he came to a stop.

"Wow!" I called out when I lifted my head, seeing the beautiful surroundings. This book has many missing chapters and scenes if you're not reading it on [J]obnib.c[o]m.We were on a cliff of some sort, overlooking Xavier's pack. The moon was still hiding behind the mountains, but the sky was colored a deep navy, with the stars lighting up the sky.

Ray lay down, and I swung my leg over and slipped off his back.

Xavier shifted back, grabbed my hand, and pulled me down a narrow path.

"Welcome to the Lost Paradise," he suddenly said.

I lifted my gaze, and my eyes widened at the beautiful waterfall a couple of feet below.

"Xavier, this is amazing!" I gasped, "It's beautiful!"

He pulled me to his chest and smiled down at me.

"Not as beautiful as you!" He said that and pecked my lips.

A face flustered red, feeling embarrassed.

"Come on," he said, excited, "there is more..."

Xavier snaked his arm around me, and we walked down to the pool of the waterfall.

At the bottom, just a couple of feet from the massive pool, a picnic blanket and basket waited for us.

The surrounding trees were decorated with lanterns, lighting up the area just enough not to disturb the surroundings.

"How?" I gasped, surprised.

"Greyson and Kelly," he said as I followed him toward the blanket.

"They did an amazing job!"

"They sure did!"

I took a seat on the blanket, and Xavier pulled the basket closer.

He pulled out a bottle of champagne and two glasses.

"What are we celebrating?" I asked as he popped the cork and filled the glasses.

"Us, the project, and a very happy life to come!"

"Someone enthusiastic!" I said, and I raised my glass.

"I have to be!" He said seriously and looked at me, "I am engaged to be married to the most beautiful person I know."

"You are such a flirt, Alpha Black!" I teased.

Xavier's eyes darkened, and a taunting smile appeared on his lips.

I pushed his body forward and brushed his lips against mine.

My breath started to race, and I felt his warm breath tickle my cold skin.

He bent forward, towards my ear, and I shifted my head to the side, revealing my slender neck.

"You drive my insides wild, Ms. King," he said seductively. "If you keep on taunting me, I will surely have to punish you!"

My p*ssy clenched hearing his words, yet I didn't dare to move.

He brushed his lips down my nape, making my core throb with excitement.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and concentrated.

"I still need to punish you for disobeying me earlier," Xavier said, moving his finger against the side of my face.

That had done it, and I opened my eyes, looking into Xavier's eyes.

My heart rate escalated, and my panties became soaked. I wanted this man to take me here and now.

"Do with me what you must," I whispered against his lips, "just make sure you fill me with your seeds!"
