Robert's POV

I loved each place we went together. At the end of the day, I wanted to tell, I think... I am falling for her.

But I should slow down. Until yesterday, I hurt her so badly, and today, I would say that I am starting to like her?

Willn't it be absurd?

So, I decided to keep quiet.

After returning home, we went straight to our room and laid down.

She was still feeling cold, so I decided to hug her. We slept in the arms of each other.

I think this is indeed a good start for both of us.

The next day I woke up and glanced at my phone. Many missed calls from Xander.

I called him back.

"Xander," I said.

"Boss. I think it would be good if you could come back to work today. I am having some problems nowadays. Moreover, there are some important contacts on their way. You might wanna see them" he informed in a formal voice. "Okay, Xander. I will be right there in 30 minutes" I cut the call and got up.

She was still sleeping. I have canceled any alarms that were there.

I can't leave like that... after the beautiful day, we had yesterday.

So, I decided to write a note to her. I could send a simple message, but don't you think a small note is more... romantic?

I finally got a blank paper and I found a pen too, by my fortune. Now, the task is to find some good words to write.

'I have some work, will probably meet at dinner. Bye~'

No-no, it is not so good. Let's think of a better one.

'Some office work arrived. I wanted to stay, but... so, bye-'

'Hey, Hailey. I wanted to stay, but you know, work issues. I want you to stay back and I will come back as soon as possible. Meet ya, bye~'

I tore the page and took a new one. Let us think of something decent and loving.

I kept the letter on her side and left to get ready. I was a little late but doesn't matter.

I reached the LO after a long time and damn, it is a hell of paperwork at the CEO's office's desk.

I made my way to the President's office and found Xander working on his laptop.

"Xander," I said. He looked at me and stood up.

"Boss. Here are the contracts" he handed some files to me. I nodded and taking the files, I made my way to my own office. They are many files and I don't wanna interfere in his business. He is already working so much. If Hailey was fine, I could use her help. She is excellent at summarizing files. But it is my fault, I should bear with it.

I sat down and started reading every one of them personally. They were selected ones, who were very important. The others are managed by vice-presidents and the president.

I finally did half of the work, when it was lunchtime. I didn't have lunch, because I wanted to complete my work first and go home.

You know, after so many years, finally, I have someone waiting for me to return home.

Otherwise, I have no one whom I should return to every day, it was just a place where I used to live, I never wanted to call it a house.

But now, when I will go home, I know someone will be there, waiting for me to complete my work and meet her, waiting for me to spend time with her.

I completed my duties way before the time decided, so I decided to head back home. I was, for the first time in my life, happy to go back home after working the day.

As I reached home, she was there, using her phone and I went to her.

"Hey," I said. "You ok?"

"Yeah, of course" she replied while pulling a chair for me.

"No 'of course' in that. You just had an operation" I reminded her.

She scratched her head as if telling me she forgot it.

"Oh yeah," she replied.

"Hm. Had food?" I asked.

"Nope" she replied. "you?"

"I can eat right now," I said, not wanting to tell her that I didn't have lunch today.

She smiled and nodded. "Can I make for you? Please!" she said.

I sighed. "Not so soon. From next week"

"Okay!" she replied and the cook served our food.

We ate together and laughed about some pretty few things.

Everything is beautiful, as I always dreamed to be before.... Before that happened. That incident, which changed me for good. I never thought something can affect me so much, but now I know, some things can change you entirely. Firstly, what happened, it changed me, and now... Hailey.

You are changing me, Hailey. You are changing me in a good way. I have never felt this happy before, I have never felt so alive before. You have given me a reason to live. A reason to return home safe every day.

"You have changed me a lot, Hailey" I finally said. She looked at me confused.

"Are you happy about it?" she asked.

"More than anything," I said.

"That's good, Robert!" she exclaimed and kept a hand on my hand by which I was eating. "Can I?" she asked.

I quite didn't understand what she was saying, but I accepted.

She smiled and then took the food plate in her hands. Then she started feeding me with her hands.

I can't believe that she changed me to this limit that I am allowing her to feed me food?

"Delicious," I said.

"Bet that my hand made it more" she winked.

I smiled. "Maybe"

She continued feeding me food and after it was completed, and after she did too, I got up and we went back to our room.

I couldn't control and I turned her around with her wrist. She looked into my eyes with her eyes wide open.

I went near her slowly, and it feels damn good when she didn't go back. I kept one of my hands on her waist and pulled her close. Then I kept both of my hands on her neck and leaned down to kiss her.
