Hiding With Her Twin Babies -
Chapter 14
Dante drives straight to the docks with the twins and Jennie. However, he had an idea, and he ordered the housekeeper to pack bags for the twins and Jennie so they could spend the night with him on his yacht. Maybe tonight, he will get the chance to talk to Jennie, and he does not want them to see his furniture moved in next door to them. Dante closed the deal on the house today, and he plans on moving in as soon as possible. He wants to be close to his family, but he knows he needs to give Jennie a chance to have him in their lives. He also does not know how Jennie will react when he declares his love to her.
“Where are you taking us?” Jennie asks when she sees Dante is not driving to her house.
“It is a surprise. Relax, I have packed the kids clothes and yours and their school bags so they can do their homework,” Dante answers. Jennie relax. It does not help to fight with this man. He will do what he wants anyway. So much from staying away from him. He won’t let her, and she knows it is because of the children. Why did he have to find out about them? Jennie is upset with herself for not keeping her heart in control when it comes to Dante. Maybe it is all the years she had been in love with him that is not making her think clearly. Then it hits Jennie. he packed bags for us? Are we going to spend the night alone somewhere?
“What do you mean you packed bags for us? Where are you taking us? The kids have school tomorrow, and I have to work. So we can not just go out on a school night,” Jennie complains.
“You can do whatever you want to Jennie if you want to do it. As I said, I packed everything, and the children will be at school tomorrow,” Dante says. He is not in a good mood as he had a confrontation with Carl today, and Carl went running back to work and talked to Jennie. He told that man to stay away from her. They are working together, and they will have to see each other at the office, but Dante wants Carl out of Jennie’s life for good.
“But you do not understand. The kids can not make a habit of going out during school nights,” Jennie says.
“They can do as they like. They are Casellas,” Dante says coldly as he stares at the road in front of him.
“You are an a*****e, Dante! How can you not ask me before planning anything? I am their mother,” Jennie says. Jayden and Jayda are looking at their parents fighting again.
“Mommy, do not curse! It is not nice,” Jayda says. She is close to tears as she only wants to spend time with her parents without them fighting. Jennie looks at her daughter in the backseat and feels sorry that she fought with Dante.
“I am sorry, honey,” Jennie says.
“Can we spend the night with daddy, and can you two stop fighting, please?” Jayda asks. She can turn her tears on and off as she pleases, and she often uses them as a secret weapon. Jayden smiles as her mother turns around.
“I am sorry I fought with you, Dante. We will spend the night with you wherever you take us,” Jennies says.
“Thank you,” Dante says, but he is still feeling like Jennie is trying to avoid him, and it makes him angry. He wants to be with her and tell her that he loved her for eight years, but he feels the mood has been spoiled again, and he does not want to say anything if Jennie is trying to avoid him.
They get to the harbour, and the yacht is ready and waiting for them. The twins can not believe they are going on a yacht, and they love it. They want to see everything, and there are even desks set up for them to do their homework. The twins start doing their homework immediately to enjoy the rest of the night with their parents. Dante helps them, and Jennie is surprised that he has patience with the twins. They are both very clever students, and Dante looks proudly at his children. They sure have their parent’s intelligence. Dante would love for them to follow in his footsteps and study business economics one day, but Jayden is like his mother and loves computers. He is good at it and loves playing the games his mother is writing. Dante does not know this yet, and he does not know how good Jayden is at hacking into computers and doing other stuff only one with a brain for a computer can do. After the twins did their homework, the captain and his crew got ready to set out to sea.
Jennie is not as angry anymore, and she starts enjoying the little trip. They will be sleeping on the yacht tonight, and she is looking forward to it. The chef has prepared a delicious dinner for the four of them, and they eat it outside on the deck. The yacht is enormous and must have cost a lot of money. Jennie is looking around while the chef is plating up. Dante and the children are playing with a drone. Dante shows them how to fly it, and the children take turns flying it. Jennie joins them just before the food is served, and Dante is not very happy as he knows Jennie is trying to avoid him all the time. Is he that bad of a guy? They all sit down to eat, and the twins talk a lot about the drone and yacht. Both Dante and Jennie are quiet. Jennie knows Dante is irritated with her. She overreacted earlier, but it is difficult for her to be so close to him without giving her secrets away. Jennie must admit that Dante does stuff to her heart, and she is afraid to get hurt by him again.
“I am sorry I was such a b***h earlier,” Jennie says to Dante as the children go to their cabins as they are tired and tomorrow is school.
“It is okay. I don’t understand why you are always on your guard around me, Jennie. I will never do anything to hurt you or the children. I am trying my best to be there for the three of you, but you always try to avoid me. It hurts. We have known each other since we were children, and I understand my words were harch that stormy night, but I promise you I will never do anything like that again. I have searched for you for eight years. I wanted to apologise for so long for that night, and I wanted to admit something to you, but you were gone,” Dante says.
“So you searched for me for eight years to apologise? Wow, you must have felt very bad to spend a lot of your money to look for me and apologise,” Jennie says, laughing. So, that is why he was looking for her, to apologise to her? Jennie feels hurt as he says that, and her laugh sounds bitter.
“You see, there you do it again! You lay words in my mouth. I also said to admit something to you, but you ignored that part. So it is impossible to talk to you!” Dante says as he jumps up and walks away. Dante feels frustrated with this woman he loves so much. For eight years, he looked for her, remembering every touch, every k**s and the fact that she gave herself to him. He was her first, believing her only. She just doesn’t want to listen to him, and he does not know what to do. Dante is angry as he turns around and looks at her sitting at the table with a pale face.
“You know what, Dante? Yes, I am afraid of you. I felt hurt that night with your words. It burned through my heart. It scared me for life, and I was still in love with you back then. But, I did not want to admit it. Do you know how it feels to be rejected and told that you are not pretty enough for the man you are in love with? No, you will never know because no one ever says no to Dante Casella. You always get what you want,” Jennie says as she gets up.
“I am sorry I hurt you that night. Can you now please stop throwing that night back at me? Can you for once stop talking about that night, and are you not at least interested to hear what I wanted to confess to you?” Dante asks.
“No, not now. I bet you knew I was pregnant and wanted to tell me, you know. So let’s forget about the past,” Jennie says and storms past Dante to the deck. Dante sigh. When will he ever get the chance to tell her why he searched for her for eight years? Dante walks to his cabin. It is late. Jennie is in no mood to sleep now, and when she can not sleep, she usually works. Jennie walks to the deck and stares out over the dark ocean. Jennie stands still as she sees a motorboat coming towards the yacht. A big man gets out of the motorboat and walks towards Jennie. The smaller boat speeds away again and disappears into the night.
“Ah, the beautiful Jennie Petrov,” Jennie hears a familiar voice.
“Enzo Casella, I should have known only you will make a dramatic entrance like this,” Jennie laughs.
“I came to safe the damsel in distress,” Enzo says with a smile. He is younger than Jennie, but he is funny and constantly teases her. Finally, he takes her by the hand and leads her to the entertainment area of the yacht. There is a bar and a swimming pool on the yacht, and no one ever comes there unless there is a party on the yacht. Enzo pours Jennie a drink, and soon the two of them are laughing and talking about the past. Enzo is an entertainer, and he knows how to make people laugh and forget about their problems. He and Jennie talk until late and falls asleep on comfortable couches in the entertainment area. Dante could not sleep, and he was awake before the twin ran into his cabin.
“Daddy! We can not find mommy anywhere,” Jayda cries as she runs to him. Dante runs to Jennie’s cabin, but she is not there, and he and the captain and crew search the whole yacht. They can not find her. Dante looks worried, and Jayden and Jayda both are crying. What if their mommy fell in the sea?
“Don’t worry, daddy will find mommy,” Dante says. He walks to the only place they have not searched yet—the entertainment area. As Dante walks into the entertainment area, his b***d starts boiling. He is angry. Not only did his plans for last night fail, but now Jennie and Enzo are sleeping inches from each other on the couches in the entertainment area, and by the looks of it, they had a party for two last night. Where the hell did Enzo come from, and how did he know they were on his yacht?
“Can we break his fingers too, daddy,” Jayden whispers next to Dante as he sees a guy he never met sleeping so close to his mother.
“No, my son, but I feel like breaking his neck!” Dante says hard enough for the two people on the couches to wake up. Jennie sits up and looks at her son, daughter and their father staring at her and Enzo.
“We only had a few drinks. Enzo surprised me last night when he showed up with a motorboat,” Jennie tries to explain.
“So you and Enzo have been seeing each other the last eight years? Is that how he knew where we were?” Dante asks. His face looks hard, and he does not sound friendly.
“No, I saw him for the first time in eight years last night,” Jennie says. She has never seen Dante this mad.
“Your secretary will do anything for a box of chocolates and a bit of charm from me. Jennie did not know I was going to surprise all of you. You all were already in bed, and Jennie and I chatted a bit last night, brother. Nothing happened between us. Wow, one should swear you are jealous,” Enzo says.
“Get up and go get dressed. We need to take the children to school,” Dante says to Jennie ignoring his brother. Enzo smiles as he knows his brother is very much in love with Jennie. But, he also knows he is in big trouble with his brother. Jennie feels like her head is going to explode. She had too much to drink last night, and now Dante is talking to her like she did something wrong. She looks at Enzo, who has a big smile on his face and shows him with her hands that she is going to strangle him!
