Chapter 48

Andrei gets in his car and drives behind Angy to her apartment. He knows she still has no clue that he is about to ask her to marry him as he is still driving his phone rings. It is Amber Black. She is not happy for being stood up last night, and she could not get a hold of Andrei. It made her furious. She is sure they have a connection, and if he showed up last night, he would have spent the night in her bed.

“Good morning, Miss Black,” Andrei says. He never calls her on her name as he does not want to get too familiar with this woman. He is always uncomfortable in her presence, but her company’s rating was the highest on google, so he thought she would be professional.

“Andrei, I told you a million times to call me Amber. Where were you last night? I waited a long time, but you did not show up,” Amber says. Instead, she waisted her new dress, and she could not be seen in public wearing the same dress twice. Last night she also tipped off the paparazzi that she would be at Harmonies with her new boyfriend. But, of course, she did not tell the paparazzi who was calling. Instead, she pretended to be someone else when she called in the tip. As a result, this morning, she is the laughing stock on social media and some magazines.

“Amber Black is not so young anymore and got stood up by her date” is more or less what the headlines read all over social media. Her plan to break up Andrei Petrov with his girlfriend, Angelica Hudson, backfired severely on her. So she is angry, but she can not show Andrei she is angry.

“I am sorry, Miss Black, but I spend the night with the woman I love, and I prefer that we do not use first names as we are only doing business. So, please call me Mr Petrov,” Andrei says. That makes Amber even angrier. But, she talks before she thinks.

“I thought we had something special! I thought you and I were more than business partners. But, I can not let you get engaged to Angelica as I am the one you love! You are making a mistake to go ahead with the engagement tonight! Andrei, darling, please don’t do this to us. My heart is breaking!” Amber says. Andrei gets out of his car as they stop in front of Angy’s apartment. His phone was still on speaker, and Angy heard what that woman said. She can see Andrei is genuinely shocked.

“What the f*****g hell are you going on about woman! I love only one, and it is Angelica Hudson. She is the woman I want to marry, and I want her to have my babies. I never let you on, and I do not know where you got the idea that there is something between us in hell’s name! What is wrong with you! I will be paying you what I owe you. Please stay away from me in the future! You are f*****g crazy!” Andrei says and hangs up. Angy starts laughing.

“Well, looks like the woman fell in love with my honey,” Angy says.

“It is not funny she is crazy! I never even touched her, and I never call her by her name,” Andrei says, afraid Angy will get suspicious again and leave him.

“Honey, I believe you. I love you, and I am not jealous or suspicious anymore. I trust you,” Angy says. She hugs Andrei, and he pulls her closer to him and k****s her in the middle of the street. He does not care who is watching. He loves this woman with his whole heart and wants to shout it to the world. Andrei has everything planned, and he calls Harmonies to confirm everything. As he drives back to his office to do the last touches, nothing can go wrong tonight. Luckily he called Harmonies as they told him Amber called and cancelled everything. So he tells them to go ahead and not listen to anything Amber says. He also asks them to arrange for flowers and thinks on the tables as he knows Amber must have cancelled everything.

As Andrei drives away, Angy calls her father and tells him everything Amber Black did. It does not take Logan long to find out where she stays. He also found out that Amber Black is a fortune seeker and that she will sleep with anyone and everyone in search of a rich husband. She has destroyed relationships, and when her pray is out of money, she leaves him searching for a wealthier man. Of course, she is looking for a wealthy husband, and she must have seen Andrei as the perfect target. She messed with the wrong family, though, and she does not know it yet. She messed with one of Logan’s princesses, and as the ex Godfather of the Italian Mafia, he does not like it.

“Find Amber Black and bring her to my house. Take her straight to the dungeon. It is time she learns a lesson,” Logan tells his men, and an hour later, Amber is tied to a chair in a dark room. Logan calls Angy as this is her revenge and not his. He trained his children not to show mercy for their enemy. He knows he will kill someone that tries to take Jen away from him. He also calls Dante and tells him the whole story. Dante, the Godfather, will be present as he and his men clean out the mess and organise Amber’s accident. Dante digs deeper into Amber’s history and learns that she had something to do with Carl before he disappeared. He also finds out that she knew Alexa, and that is already enough reason for him to know she is a dangerous woman and does not belong on the streets or near his sister.

Amber Black sits in the dark, tied to a chair, and her temper kicks in again. She shouts and screams, demanding to know what is going on. The door opens after about an hour, and Dante and Angy Hudson walk in. She looks at them and grins, so this is what it is all about. Angy does not like her getting so close to Andrei.

“I see you found out about my affair with your boyfriend. What are you planning to do, Angelica Hudson?” Amber mocks Angy.

“Angelica Casella, that is my real name. If I were you, Amber Black, I would be terrified right now. Dante Cassella, my brother, is the Godfather of the Italian Mafia,” Angy says.

“Why will you tell me this? So you know I can bring out our little secret to the world now. Everyone is wondering who the Godfather and the Casella family is,” Amber says. She is not very clever and does not realise yet that she will not live to tell her story to anyone.

“Oh, you will not live to tell your tale, Miss Black,” Dante says with a grin. He looks sexy when he looks dangerous.

“You are so damn sexy, Dante. I will forget about everything if you become my lover,” Amber says flirtatiously.

“Wow, she is foolish. I have a beautiful wife and will not touch you if you pay me all the money in the world. You know you are about to die. Or do I have to spell it out for you?” Dante asks.

“What do you mean I am about to die?” Amber asks, and for the first time, she feels the fear numbing her.

“You messed with a Casella. We don’t like someone messing with our family. You tried to hurt my sister, and we know you and Alexa had something to do with Carl Conner’s death. My wife loves his parents as they helped her when she needed them. So you hurt my wife’s friends as well. All of these things count against you,” Dante says.

“I had nothing to do with Carl Connor’s death. He was already dead when I came to Alexa’s apartment the following morning. We only got rid of the body. I will show you where his body is if you let me go,” Amber says.

“I can give a s**t about where his body is. Unless you want your body at the same spot he is,” Dante says.

“Please, I will leave town, and you will never hear from me again. Please let me go. I will leave your family alone,” Amber begins to beg and bursts out in tears. She is still young. She wants to live. She can not die. She will, of course, get revenge if they let her go and tell the world who the Casella family is, but they don’t have to know that.

“You think we are as stupid as you are?” Angy asks. She walks closer to Amber.

“Snap her neck. It is the easiest way to get rid of her body. She will have a car accident. Don’t leave bruises, and make it a clean break. People break their necks in car accidents all the time and die. You know how to do it, sis,” Dante says to Angy. Angy smiles and nods. Amber is getting frantic. How can these people talk about her death like it is nothing? They are just scaring her, and she will not fall for it!

“Stop joking around. I know you will not kill me. These things only happen in movies,” Amber says. Angy stands in front of Amber and takes her head in her hands.

“You wish, girl. This is reality. You are about to die,” Angy says.

“Please, don’t do this! I don’t even believe you are really in the Italia Mafia and the Casella Family is a myth!” Amber tries one last time. With a quick movement, Angy snaps her neck and Amber slumps over. Dante can see Amber is dead. His sister knows how to break someone’s neck and kill them. Sometimes people still live after their neck has been snapped.

“Thank you, bro. I owe you big time,” Angy says as she feels relieved that this b***h is out of the way.

“Such a shame we could not let her suffer a little more, but we had to do it in a way to make the clean up easier,” Dante says.

“I know I would have liked to torture her, but she is out of the way and not a danger to other people’s relationships anymore, and that is all that counts,” Angy says. Angy takes off the black leather gloves she had on. She is glad Amber is gone out of their lives for good, and she knows her death in a car accident will be all over newspapers and social media tomorrow.

“Can I help with the clean-up? I have a date with Andrei tonight, so I still need to go and get ready,” Angy says.

“Enjoy it, sis. My men and I will take care of the clean-up,” Dante says. He knows he needs to make the accident happen fast so the police will suspect foul play. So he sent one of the women working for him to Amber’s house. She takes Amber’s bag, cellphone and everything she will typically take. When she goes, she puts on Amber’s clothing, and she looks a lot like Amber from a distance. Then she drives off in Amber’s car. The neighbours remember seeing Amber drive away in her Porche at around three in the afternoon when the police came to ask routine questions. Amber Black had a terrible accident losing control of her car on the freeway and driving into a tree, breaking her neck and a few other bones in her body on impact.

“Well, Amber Black, you should not have messed with my Angy and the Casella family,” Andrei thinks to himself as he gets ready for his very important date with Angy later that night. He can only smile. If he had any doubts about him and Angy, he does not anymore as they are in the same business, and she knows the rules of the Mafia. It does not matter what Mafia you are in. Nobody messes with the family and get away with it. He is glad he has a woman that understands that and not one that he will have to ease into the life of a Mafia Don. Andrei loves Angy even more as she proves to be a lot like her mother, Jen. They might be petite, but as the saying goes, poison comes in small bottles, and he loves it.
