Chapter 64

Bernarda and Riccardo’s men take Don and Donna Ricci to the warehouse where Andrea Garza is already waiting. Unfortunately for them, the men tied them up as they did with Andrea. Dario Ricci is not a happy man. He looks at his wife, Aria Ricci. They are a Don and Donna. Why would their children send them to the same place as Andrea Garza? Andrea is a scumbag, and he has no morals. Besides, Dario knows his wife is still in love with Andrea. It has been years, and she can not forget him. Andrea looks at the two of them and laughs.

“Welcome to the last place we will ever see,” He says to piss Dario Ricci off. He and Dario do not get along as Aria has helped him out in the past with his debt, and Dario found out. He also slept with Aria after she was married to Dario. Andrea knows if they were not tied up, Dario would kill him. He can see it in Dario’s eyes.

“I hope they kill you first so I can watch,” Dario says. He knows they have come to the end on their line. They will not live much longer.

“Who cares? We will all burn in hell soon,” Andrea says. Aria starts crying, and Dario, who loves his unfaithful wife, is upset. He does not want her near Andrea. However, they have always kept in touch, and Dario knows about all they have done. The two are still alive because Andrea ran away and hid worldwide, and Dario loves Aria. They sit in silence, and Aria does not speak and only cries softly. She feels uncomfortable sitting between her husband and ex-husband. She knows that her husband knows about her giving money to Andrea and sleeping with him. If Dario did not love her so much, she would be dead by now. Ironically, the three of them will die together. Her two husbands will die at the hand of the children. Her son she had with Andrea and her daughter she had with Dario.

As Gabby, Bernardo, Mabel and Riccardo arrive, they can hear the guards greet them. Aria is shivering and crying softly. The two men are scared but will not show it. Dario has known that the life of a Don in the Italia Mafia is not worth a dime. Someone is always looking to kill you. He has stared death in the face many times. Bernardo walks in first, followed by the rest. Aria looks up at her son. The son she has forsaken for money. His face is hard and cold, and she knows he has no feelings for her or Andrea. Dario is nothing to him but an evil stepdad. Her son is tall, dark and handsome and looks like Andrea in his younger years. His wife is petite but very beautiful. Aria has seen her on TV many times. She is a rock star like her mother, Jennifer Hudson. Aria was always a fan of Jennifer Hudson.

“Bernardo, my son, I am so sorry. Please, let me and Dario and your father make it all up to you. We want to see our grandchildren and be there for them,” Aria Ricci pleads with her son.

“You will never come near my children,” Bernardo says.

“But they will need a family to protect them,” Aria tries again.

“The Casella’s will do a great job helping me look after my children, and they will have Gabby and Riccardo as an uncle and aunt. So we do not need you,” Darius says.

“You know the Casellas?” Andrea asks.

“I am a Casella,” Mabel answers and the Riccis and Andrea shiver. But of course, they all know that the Godfather in America is a Casella. So if Mabel is a Casella, she is part of the most dangerous Mafia family in America. There will be no mercy for them then. Bernardo has the backing of two Godfathers. They are all doomed.

“I am so sorry,” Aria starts crying again.

“Shut your mouth Aria. We are Riccis. We do not beg anyone, even if we start death in the face!” Dario snaps at his wife.

“You all will die today, but I will make it quick since you are family,” Bernardo says. He is pissed off that Aria and Dario do not even speak to their daughter. Gabriella is keeping up a front, trying to hold back her tears. Riccardo sees it as well, and that makes him angry.

“You know you have not even spoken a word to daughter since she walked in,” Riccardo says.

“She is useless, and she can not even keep you happy. So why should I even lower myself to speak to her? Gabriella is not my daughter! She is a useless scumbag and a w***e like her mother,” Dario says. Then, before anyone can stop it, a shot sounds out, and Dario shouts in pain. Riccardo has shot him in the knee.

“You will die a slow death for those words! The only ones that are useless around here are you three! You could not even love your children and look after them! Talk about my wife in that way again, and I will show you no mercy! I will keep you alive for weeks to torture you! You are a useless old man that has no purpose in life! You could not even produce an heir for your pathetic family. The Ricci family will die with you, and I will take your territory and give it to my son one day! You will lie in your grave knowing Gabriella’s son is running your territory under the Marino name! How would you feel about that? You pig!” Riccardo says. He turns around and holds his wife in his arms.

“I bet she can not produce an heir like her useless mother!” Dario says, although he is in pain. This time the shot comes from another direction and hits Dario in the other knee. He shouts out in pain again.

“Keep your mouth shut about my sister,” Bernardo says.

“Dario, keep your mouth shut! They will kill you,” Aria says. She is worried about her husband.

“Like you care! You have slept with Andrea and given him my money! Don’t tell me that you care about me! You never did. You broke my heart,” Dario says. He is feeling dizzy and wants to pass out. The pain is hard to handle, but he will not give in to the pain.

“Dario, I love you. I only slept with him because you were so cold to me over the past few years when I could not give you an heir. I felt unhappy and alone. I felt like a failure. You never touched me after Gabriella was born. I know you were not happy because she was a girl, which upset me,” Aria says. Dario does not answer her anymore as he is in pain and is fighting the urge to pass out. However, he will not show his weakness in front of the enemy.

Bernardo looks at Dario and must admit the man is tough, but he hates him to the core. Not only for the way he treated him but also for his sister. Bernardo looks at Gabriella standing in her husband’s arms. She is not crying, but she is holding back her tears as the man that is her father hates her, and she is upset about it. All of a sudden, Gabby feels nauseous. She lets go of Riccardo and runs to the bathroom inside the warehouse. Mabel follows her as Gabby does not look good.

“What is wrong, Gabby?” Mabel asks, feeling worried.

“I don’t know. The smell of b***d made me feel like I needed to vomit. I never had this problem before. I am used to the smell of b***d as I often watched when my father or Riccardo killed an enemy,” Gabby says.

“Hmm, maybe it is the shock of seeing your father being on the receiving end,” Mabel says.

“No, I hate that man, and I do not care if he bleeds to death,” Gabby says honestly.

“Then maybe you can not stand the smell of b***d because you are pregnant,” Mabel says.

“Really? Do you think I can be pregnant? It will be wonderful,” Gabby says as another wave of nausea hits her and she has to bend over the toilet.

“Well, there is only one way to find out. I will send one of Bernardo’s men to get a pregnancy test,” Mabel says.

“Okay, if I am pregnant, I would love to tub it in my parents’ faces before they die,” Gabby says. Mabel walks out and whispers something in Riccardo’s ear. He walks over to one of his men and whispers to him.

“What is going on?” Bernardo asks.

“We think Gabby is pregnant. So Riccardo is sending someone to get some pregnancy tests,” Mabel whispers to Bernardo before returning to the bathroom to help Gabby. The men do not take long to return with a bag and hand it to Riccardo. Riccardo takes it to the toilet and passes it to Mabel. Mabel gives Gabby the pregnancy tests, and they decide to do all of them since Riccardo’s men bought about five. They sit and wait until the results show, all of which are positive. Gabby is over the moon, and Mabel smiles happily with her. She can now stick the pregnancy tests in her parent’s faces. She will show her father she is not useless! She and Riccardo love each other, and he has let go of the ghost of his past. Gabby walks out and shows Riccardo the result. He is overjoyed and hugs Gabby.

“We are going to have a baby! I am not so useless anymore. Am I dad? My husband loves me, and I love him, and our love is sealed with this pregnancy. He even married me again to give me a day I will remember for the rest of my life. You are the miserable one, father. You never lived a happy life, and my mother never loved you because she could not forget her first love! You are the pathetic one and not me! As for you, mother, I hope you roast in hell, for what you have done to Bernardo and me. We will carry the scars of our childhood for life. But you know what scars heal over time with the love of the ones that love you. I promise you one thing. I will never be a parent like you have been. I will love my child with love and respect. I will teach them to love and not hate! I don’t care if it is a boy or a girl, but my child will run the Ricci family territory, and I hope it is a girl, so you can never rest in peace, father, knowing a girl is running your territory better than you ever could. In the meantime, Riccardo is giving me the Ricci territory to run until our child can take over from me one day. I hope you never rest in peace!” Gabby says.

“You are giving her my territory? How could you? You are a Godfather and should know a woman can not run a territory!” Dario shouts at Riccardo.

“She can run it better than you! I am sick of this game. Now that you know how we all feel, I think it is time you die,” Riccardo says. He looks at Bernardo, who points his gun at Andrea and shoots him. Andrea dies instantly. Gabby takes her husband’s gun, and although Riccardo would like to torture Dario a little longer, Gabby pulls the trigger and shoots her father in the head. Aria cries as she knows she is following as Gabby and Bernardo turn their guns on her. They shoot her, killing the woman who was never a mother to any of them.

“Car accident, plane crash or sinking boat?” Riccardo asks Bernardo.

“Let’s go with the sinking boat, making sure there are a lot of sharks around and no evidence of bullet holes,” Bernardo says.

“You heard the man. Boat accident and make sure the sharks destroy the evidence,” Riccardo says to his men. Then, the cleanup specialist comes in and cleans everything up.

“I am hungry. Why don’t I stick you all for lunch?” Riccardo says. Killing people is hard work.

“Sure,” Bernardo says. Gabby is glad she is out of the warehouse and the stench of b***d. She does not know if she can eat, but Gabby feels her appetite return when the family sits down to eat.
