His destined mate -
Chapter 61: The Street of the Beckons
Ethan's POV
Derek's dark energy swirled around him as the wind crawled with tension, a terrifying whirlwind threatening to destroy everything in its path. I could feel the weight of disappointment pressing against me, but Bianca stood beside me resolutely, her hand gripping mine with unwavering determination.
"Ethan, we can't let him win!" He shouted over the chaos, his voice cutting through the darkness. I nodded, drawing strength from his presence. "We were together," I indulged in our relationship. We can cope with this. We had to do it. Derek's laughter rumbled like thunder, echoing off the crumbling walls. "You think you can give me a talk bro? Look at what you've done! Your precious kingdom is broken, your precious Bianca is mine!" His eyes rolled sharply, and I could feel the fear twisting in my gut.
"It's not like I can help!" I shot back at him, channeling my magic into the protective barrier. A flash of energy shone between us, touching our fate as we prepared to attack.
"Take your energy to three of the obstacles!" Sensing a spiral of tension in the air, I gave Bianca instructions. "ready!" He reinforced my goal.
"One... two... three!" We let out a burst of light, sending shock waves through the dimly lit room. The dark energy around Derek flickered for a moment, shock forming on his face.
"impossible!" He called out to Shadow and spat boiling fury loud and petulant. "You think it's a game? Let's see how long you can live in the dark!"
The wind picked up, and a huge wave of dark energy came towards us, like a rolling wave ready to wreak havoc. "Bianca, we need to push him back!" I demanded, adrenaline coursing through my veins. "now!"
The shadows twisted and turned, trying to cover us. I could feel the barrier softening under the strain, and panic seized me. "Ethan, we can't hold this any longer!" Bianca cried, her voice hoarse.
"No! We won't give up!" I roared as I pushed forward and summoned every ounce of magic in me, raw and porous, forcing the shadows to retreat.
"Stay close!" she said. I obeyed, feeling the weight of the moment weigh us down. Bianca's determination set me on fire. Together, we channeled our magic, and pushed for the big one.
I saw Derek's frustration grow as he absorbed the dark energy that wanted to stretch our barrier and consume us. Suddenly, a deafening roar filled the room, and the ground shook beneath us. A large boulder rolled off the roof as it rushed towards us.
"Ethan, go ahead!" Bianca exclaimed. I pushed it aside just in time, but a rock fell where I was standing, sending the debris flying. I was shocked, nervous, as the room shook violently. "We have to pay attention!" I screamed, forcing myself to my feet. With renewed patience we released our magic again, a bright flash of light burst from our hands, a flash cut through the shadows.
Derek's brow twisted in anger and disbelief. "Feel our strength, Derek!" I shouted, my voice booming in the commotion. "You'll never force us!" But Derek wasn't done. "Do you think this is the end?" He retreated into the darkness and groaned. The shadow spun around, readying itself for another attack.
Bianca's POV
The air buzzed with electricity, and my heart pounded as I felt the weight of our combined magic. I could see the fear in Derek's eyes, but the shadows around him swirled like a tornado ready to cause chaos. "Ethan, he's not done yet!" I warned, squeezing his hand tightly.
"Then we'll fight together!" He declared, his determination infectious. As our magic grew, we found ourselves pushing back against the darkness. "We can do this!" he said. I screamed as I moved towards the barrier with everything I had, watching the shadows recede.
"Keep pushing!" he said. Ethan demanded, his eyes mischievous. The shadow twisted and tried to break, but we held fast, our bond was an unbreakable bond. Fueled by anger, Derek released another dark energy.
"This is just the beginning! Do you think you can beat me?" He roars, shaking the ground beneath our feet. We braced ourselves as the shadows foamed, threatening to engulf us. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, summoning every ounce of my magic.
"Get together, Ethan!" I cried, and we let out a stream of light that pushed the darkness behind us. But Derek weathered a storm of his own, and the room erupted in chaos. The energy struggled, illuminating the darkness with a blinding flash.
The ground cracked, cracks appeared, threatening to swallow us whole. "Bianca, be careful!" Ethan shouted as mud fell around us. I quickly ducked, but the shadows continued their attack. "Look at the light!" I screamed, pushing myself into the approaching darkness. Our magic was glowing, struggling to hold its ground.
Ethan's POV
The shadows pressed upon us, unrelenting and unforgiving. Derek laughed and the room shook, a malicious sound. "You're fighting a losing battle! You will never escape the dark!" "Not if we can help!" I screamed, feeling Bianca's energy surge next to me.
Together we forced the lights out and focused. The darkness screamed, reflecting in front of us as we pushed back against Derek's power. In that moment, I felt the bond between us grow stronger, our magic melting in an unbreakable curtain of light.
"We're strong together!" I screamed, feeling hope rise up inside me. But Derek was disappointed to hear of the change. "Do you think your little tricks can save you?" He threw his hand forward, summoning a huge wave of shadows that crashed down on us like a rolling wave. I instinctively wrapped my body around Bianca and snuggled up.
"We can't let him win!" I screamed, using every ounce of strength I had. "Focus, Ethan! We can do this!" Bianca demanded with fierce eyes. With one final push, we wrestled with Derek's darkness and released our combined magic in a burst of dark light.
The explosion sent shock waves through the room and I felt the ground shake beneath us. Bianca's POV
The light overwhelmed us, illuminating the chaos around us. For a moment I felt invincible, like we could conquer something together. But Derek wasn't easy to win over. "This is enough!" he said. That anger roared, twisting his face. "You'll pay for your disobedience!"
When he raised his arms, the shadows coalesced into sets of teeth and lunged towards us. Cold fear would creep into my bones as I prepared to defend myself against the attack.
"Ethan, we need to push him back now!" I cried, urgency in my voice. With renewed determination we cast our magic forward, the light pushing the darkness behind us. But Derek wasn't done yet. "You'll regret this!" He shouted another attack. The room shook violently, and the ground cracked under our feet, forming a void.
I felt the tug of the abyss beneath us, threatening to drag us down. "Ethan, we can't hold it!" I screamed as fear hit my throat. "Stay with me, Bianca! We can do this!" He insisted, but I could see the tension on his face.
The shadows were closing and I knew we were running out of time. "Derek, stop this!" I prayed fervently for a brother I once knew. "This is not power; It's stupid!" But Derek's smile echoed through the confusion. "Fear is the source of power, and soon everyone will be afraid of me!"
Ethan's POV
The ground shook violently as we felt the abyss tug at us. My heart pounded as I tried to hold on to the barrier against the attack. "We can't let him win!" I screamed, my voice straining at the commotion. Suddenly a bright light burst from our hands, pushing us into the darkness. But Derek summoned all his strength and roared, and I could feel the ground giving way beneath us.
"Ethan!" Bianca screamed, her eyes wide with fear. I heard the ridge yawning beneath us, and for a moment I thought we might not make it. "wait!" I shouted, grabbing his hand tightly. But as we continued, I felt the abyss recede, threatening to drag us down.
"No! We're not done yet!" I screamed, pouring every ounce of my magic into the barrier. "together!" Bianca made the same point, and I could feel her determination strengthening me. We pushed against the force of darkness, but the gap was wide and shadows were coming towards us.
"Ethan, we have to jump!" Bianca demanded, frustration flowing in her voice. I hesitated, torn between fight and flight. But the darkness was closing fast, and I knew we had to do something about it. "now!" I shouted, and together we rolled off into the unknown, all of us swallowed by the sword.
