The man casually lifted his hand to pour a cup of tea, his slender fingers gripping a fine porcelain teacup. With a calm demeanor, he handed it to Susan. "My name is Aaron." Aaron? She hadn't heard that name before.

Her eyes studied the stranger in front of her. "You said you have a grudge against Casper? Is it really because he stole your girlfriend? Or is there..." Something she didn't know about. But honestly, she wasn't all that interested.

Their meeting was a fluke. He had no reason to help her out of the blue. There had to be another motive-helping her had to benefit him too.

"You're not here to get revenge on Casper, are you?" If that was his plan, Susan made it clear she wouldn't help. "I would never let you hurt him." "Casper is not a good man," Aaron said in a calm, slow tone. "At least, he's not someone worth marrying."

No surprise there. Susan didn't care what others thought of Casper.

She fell for him at first sight, and no matter what, she intended to marry him.

"Sounds like you've got a story." Susan was curious about Aaron's tale. "I'd love to know how you and he became enemies."

"I just got out of prison," he said, lifting the teacup and taking a small sip. "Think that counts?"

Prison? Casper, no matter how powerful, couldn't reach that far.

"Why did he send you to prison?" she asked, puzzled.

"He wanted me completely out of the picture."

His tone stayed calm, without a hint of bitterness, making it hard for Susan to read him.

Usually, someone talking about their hardships would be full of anger and despair. But he was... unnervingly calm.

"Mr. Aaron, if Casper wanted to eliminate someone, they wouldn't get out of prison, right?" She was young but not naive. Some things, with a bit of thought, she could figure out. "Maybe you tried to get rid of him and got outplayed?" Aaron chuckled suddenly.

Susan wasn't the typical, shallow woman. She was, in fact, a bit sharper than Eliza.

Setting down the teacup gently, he looked at her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "You came to me because of Casper? What do you need my help with?"

"There's a tricky situation, but I don't want to kill or harm anyone," she said directly. "You were into Casper's ex-wife, right? Help me get her to leave Casper and stop meddling, and reward you handsomely."

ENQUMS

"To completely remove someone from another's life, the only way is to send them to their death." His eyes behind his glasses turned

inscrutable. "If you don't want to kill or harm, that's going to be tough."

"I don't want to harm anyone, but..." Susan's gaze roamed Aaron's face, "...it seems you do."

"You're right."

Aaron didn't hide his intentions.

Casper had survived a fall from a cliff, and Eliza handed recordings to the police. The evidence was solid. He should have been sentenced heavily.

But he hired a top-notch lawyer, and the case went well, reducing his sentence significantly. Still, he served time.

This vendetta needed to be avenged, and fiercely.

"Actually, there's another way. Make

Eliza commit suicide." Aaron pulled a small

ttle from his pocket and

Sve

placed it in front of Susan. "For

instance, this drug."

A drug?

Susan blinked in surprise.

She'd heard of aphrodisiacs but never of a drug that induced suicide.

Could it be...

Her face wrinkled slightly. "This drug of yours, it wouldn't be a hallucinogen, would it?"
