His Luna’s Already A Luna -
Chapter 26
Jeremy
POV
Jeremy, Kevin and Braidy were all downstairs, sitting in the pack-house Alpha Unit's private bar. A place Nick had created just for him and his boys, as he liked to put it. A place they could go and drink wolfen strength beer, scotch, bourbon or anything they liked after a hard day, rogue attack or just generally wanted to be able to relax, away from the pack and its wolves in private.
The place was built with natural pine wood, only had 4 bar stools, as he put it, no need for any others, it was there little sanctuary. All the stools had red leather high backed seats for comfort. There was a 6" bar for them to lean on, the top a natural piece of wood that had been sanded and polished to a high shine. There was an array of drinking glasses hanging from a rank behind the bar, above a sink and servery area. Shot glasses, to wine glasses, why the wine glasses he didn't know, none of them drank wine. To pint glasses a couple of different cocktail glasses, and 2 yard glasses, for those really fun nights.
There were two plush and comfortable sofa's one red and one black, a few royal blue throw cushions for when they got tired and wanted to lay down, or simply passed out drunk in here, it did happen. Not often due to pranks being played on the dead drunk ones, usually woke up with some sort of permanent marker drawings on their face. Or that one time they'd striped Braidy down and put him in a frilly girls dress and snapped some picks. It was deadly funny, for one of them to pass out drunk in this room. There was a large wall mounted TV with access to varies pay channels, even adult channels were available in this room, not that girls were allowed in here. Nicks number one rule. There was a dart board and a full sized billiard table for them to play at and entertain themselves.
The bar itself was stocked, with everything they could think of from beer to tequila, there were even 6 bottled of imported German white wine in the wine fridge, Nick had purchased it after a visiting Alpha and his Luna had gifted him the wine, for assisting with a rogue problem they were having. Not that any of them had even tried it. They just lay there in the wine fridge, where Nick gave them a quarter turn every now and then.
All the alcohol in this room was of wolfen strength, so they could actually get drunk. Normal human alcohol had a nice taste to it but did absolutely nothing to them, their wolfen metabolisms burned away the alcohol content used for humans real fast and left them unaffected.
Jeremy was currently standing behind the bar, the bartender for the night. He had a beer in his hand, the other was banging on the bar, as he was laughing. Telling Kevin and Braidy about Nick making a complete a*s out of himself with the Gamma's mate, thinking she had been Lucinda, and that he had been forced to apologise, to the tiny woman for his actions.
Both Kevin and Braidy were chuckling about Nick's drunken behaviour, knowing he was usually not, into acting on pure impulse, liked to do things by the book. But had mistaken her because of her tiny size and two children they had seen, with Lucinda when fully kitted out still. Laughed even harder when they had heard the Half Moon Packs Alpha and his Unit, then even the Luna, had been placing bets on Lucinda biting him one or worse.
When he'd told them about her wolf Ky'ra, who'd scratched up Nicks personal Hummer, they had spat their beer all over the bar "No Way." they'd chorused at the same time.
"Yes way." Jeremy had grinned and then had taken them outside, to show them the actual damage, which was still all down the side of the Hummer. More beer had been spat from both of them, in their gales of laughter, both of them had gotten their phones out and taken a bunch of photos, for later use once the car had been fixed.
So they could remind him of his Mate's antics, before she knew who he was to her. Though Jeremy didn't think that would have stopped Ky'ra, she's mean when she gets angry he'd told them.
Jeremy convinced them, to help him get Nick to replace the doors, instead of stripping it back and getting a new paint job. It would be way more fun for them that way. They could sneak out during the night and put the damaged ones back on from time to time. Which made them all laugh hysterically, a good plan indeed.
"On it." Kevin smiled "I'm the most sensible one out of all of us. I'll offer, to take down to Paul's work shop and get it fixed. If either of you do it, the man will be suss for sure." They all agreed with a laugh.
Bringing up her antics in Alpha Corey office, who Jeremy told them was a riot himself, loves a good bet. That tight little outfit she had worn and the way she had refused to acknowledge Nick at all. Showing him for the first time, that his god like looks weren't working, but had smiled and winked playfully at Jeremy himself, with Nick right there next to him, had both of them staring at him.
"That would be a first." Kevin had agreed. "Nicks looks being passed over, as nothing, must have hurt his ego."
Jeremy grinned "I think our Luna, once she settles in. Will be lots of fun, for us to have around. If she's anything like Luna Lindy and Alpha Corey. A right barrel of laughs she will be, for us three. Not Nick I imagine. One of us needs to suss her out further, me thinks." They all were smiling now, it would happen. If they could get her into their jokes, with annoying Nick, it would be so much more fun.
'Now Nick is a little touchy on his Mate Bond, as its not exactly going to plan, his plan anyway, hers? I'm not sure. Her Alpha and his Unit plus Luna Lindy are all placing bets, on how long it will take for Lucinda to let him Mark and Mate her. You see their Mating Alliance has a bunch of clauses, that actually protect her from him. It's freaking hilarious, wait till you read it. I'll sneak it to you." he winked at them. "He can't actually Mark or Mate her at all unless she actually gives her consent to it." A low whistle came from Braidy "We're betting to right?"
"Hell's yes we are." Jeremy laughed "I even got a text from Alpha Corey, with the pool that's going. He needs someone in the inside. Thought I was the right man for the job, after seeing my reaction to Lucinda's antics, in his office." he laughed. "Not wrong there." Kevin smiled.
"He was not." Jeremy grinned "text me even before Nick had her in the car." he chuckled, Nick being so preoccupied hadn't even notice, I'd winked right at Alpha Corey, with my usual mischievous grin and he knew I was in." he downed the beer and poured another "But we can't let Nick know period. He was very unimpressed. Told me I'd spend a month on creche duties, if he found out I entered into their betting... Now boys...whose going to cause mischief if I'm in the creche?" They all laughed again and huddled around Jeremy, to read the messages from Alpha Corey, and look at the pool, check out the size of the pot.
"You know we can run this to our favour." Braidy smiled "annoy them just enough to get that pot to one of us."
Jeremy laughed, "Now I did think of that... But this is our Alpha and Luna were talking about. So respectfully I do think we should let it run its natural cause. I don't think its right, for us to actually interfere...anyway I don't think Lucinda will make it easy on him. Didn't exactly get in the car by herself."
"She did pack to come though right." Kevin asked, his natural Gamma instincts wanted to know his Luna was willing to be here.
"Yes and brought her weapons." Jeremy nodded "So I'd be willing to say, it'll work itself out eventually."
"Well its clear he's already hooked, and Rip too." Braidy smiled.
Jeremy nodded "Yes indeed he is, appears the Mate Bond has attached him very fast and hard. For a man who only wanted an heir and didn't care for a Luna. I don't think he ever really thought about a Mate Bond and how it works or feels, due to his father and brothers. Till now anyway. You should have seen him in the car, like a love sick puppy. Couldn't stop smiling at her, until he fell asleep."
They all laughed some more.
"So what can we expect from her?" Kevin asked. Only to happy to talk about his Luna.
"Stubbornness for sure. Probably a show down between her and Nick at some point, you know how he likes to get his own way and respect big on his list. I'll place bets now on her out shooting him, with that weapon of hers, even in the knife throwing department... our little tiny Luna, is a bladed weapons specialist."
"So we could get them to match off then?" Braidy asked.
"Yep and my money will be on our Luna," Jeremy smiled, that will tick Nick off, in itself and if he can get them all to bet against Nick even more fun.
"I don't know man...He's pretty good, and with Rip behind him his power is unmatched." Kevin thought it out.
"She got out of the way of that blade he threw at her, yet hers landed right in his shoe." Jeremy reminded him. Then he let out a gasp as it dawned on him, he'd left out something really important and funny out. "OMG I totally forgot." he started laughing and banging his hand on the bar again "Lucinda was wolf-less the day she nearly took Nicks head off and they had their little showdown."
"Now way." they both chorused
"Yes way, he was beat down by a teensy weensy, wolf-less she-wolf, whose now his mate."
They were all laughing now. Games were going to be played.
"Now gentlemen, the boss asked I believe, for just one day."
Kevin and Braidy grinned at him now.
"Then one day without mischief it is." Jeremy smiled at them both.
