His secret spoiled wife (Lily and Alexander) -
Chapter 1584
Chapter 1584
Lily has been exhausted since yesterday.
Since Alexander's condition was unstable, and for the sake of confidentiality and containment of the virus, she insisted on having only a doctor and two nurses attend to him besides her and Greg.
She was bewildered by Greg's ability to stay healthy, as he had been in close contact with Alexander for a long time without showing the slightest sign of infection. She asked him to make sure he was safe for his own sake, and she herself was careful.
Judging from what she could tell from Alexander's pulse, the virus would conceal itself and evolve fast.
That was why he seemed to have recovered and would suddenly throw up blood. She was also careful when handling the vomited blood. She now understood why the pandemic spread so fast in Burnkwen. Now the small countries in Burnkwen were in a terrible mess, and Hyderland had tightened its border control so that no one could freely enter the country.
If they didn't find a way to stop or protect against the virus, the consequences would be unthinkable.
Lily left the ward.
After making sure Alexander's condition was stable, she only felt a little bit better because she didn't know if he would get worse in the next second. After getting rid of the germs, she took off her mask, gloves, face shield, and other items, cleaned herself again, and then went through the second door. She had to go through multiple quarantine areas to ensure safety and protection.
Fortunately, Alexander's loyal bodyguards were around, or she would face many problems.
Thinking about her husband's loyal bodyguards reminded her of Edward.
It was likely something terrible had happened to him, but she did not want to believe it before finding his body.
Besides, it was not something she and Alexander would wish for, let alone Olivia.
She put on her casual clothes and checked her phone, only to see many unanswered calls.
To her surprise, it was Dominic who made the most calls.
Since Dominic was a carefree and lazy person, he seldom called her.
Therefore, she thought something serious must have happened if he had called her so many times.
Alarmed, she thought about Galen and hurriedly returned the call.
"Old man, what happened?"
"Hey, you finally returned my call. Can you come over?" Dominic asked.
"Did something happen to Galen?" Lily asked, tightening her grip on the phone. "Huh?"
Stunned for a moment, the older man caught himself.
"No, that little thing is doing very well. He'd be fine even if my house collapsed!"
Lily let out a sigh of relief when she heard that and asked, "So?"
"There are two people here that I'd like you to meet. When can you come? They're busy too, so I'd like to know when you' re available."
'He wants me to meet someone? Dominic hardly goes out and hates dealing with people. Furthermore, he knows what I'm like. I'm sure these are no ordinary people."
"I'm free later."
She checked her watch and asked, "How about two hours from now?"
"Okay, I'll tell them in two hours, then. Just come and be safe!" Dominic said.
Just as he was about to hang up, Lily said, "Wait a minute!"
"Yes?"
"..."
Lily hesitated a moment before continuing, "I'll be wearing a clean hazmat suit. You better relocate Galen and don't let him see me."
