Dr.Morris wanted to say something, but Dr.Blanc stopped him again.

"In that case, we won't force you, as we're looking for a volunteer. Besides, I trust Mr. Fike's recommendation, and I believe Mrs. Russell could work well with us."

He turned to look at Lily as he made the invitation.

Lily looked at him pensively for a few seconds, then slowly said, "I look forward to working with you guys then."

"Dr.Blanc..."

Dr.Morris was somewhat against it. He still felt that it was better to invite Dominic. However, the chief physician did not plan to let him speak.

"Moe, show Mrs. Russell the non-disclosure agreement."

Lily browsed through the detailed agreement and did not object to any clauses. She quickly signed it and handed it back.

"Is it okay if you report for duty at our department at 8 p.m.tonight?" Dr.Blanc asked.

Lily was surprised, not expecting it to be so soon.

Correcting him, Dr.Blanc said, "Our project is urgent, as time waits for no one. We know Mrs. Russell would need time to settle some affairs with her family. Otherwise, we would want her to come with us immediately."

Lily could understand the urgency as it was an unusual situation.

Since she was to join the research, the sooner she started, the better, and the earlier she could devise a way to tackle the disease, the more hope they could have.

She knew what to prioritize and nodded without hesitation.

"Okay, 8 p.m.then! I'll come on time to the address."

"Perfect!"Nodding, Dr. Blanc rose, and Dr. Morris quickly followed suit.

"Thank you for your support, Mr.Fike.Please rest well.I wish you good health and longevity!"

Dominic laughed as he nodded repeatedly.

After seeing them off, Dominic dropped his smile and turned around to run upstairs, but Lily swiftly caught the back of his collar.

"Where are you going, Old man?"

He struggled in vain and said, "Hey, why are you pulling me? Of course, I'm going to see your beloved son!"

Lily drawled and snorted.

"How dare you! You sold me out without telling me anything. You think I have to listen to you because you're holding Galen hostage, do you?" "Am I that sort of person?"

He chuckled, then looked over his shoulder at her.

When he saw that she was not smiling, he dropped his smile.

"Okay, I am!"

Lily let him go and sighed.
