Lily pulled Olivia over when she saw her acting like that.

"Oliva, stop letting your emotions cloud your judgment, and let's discuss it like adults, shall we? What the hell happened? Why did you think Alex pushed Edward and made him a human shield? Who told you that? "Don't forget about the incident with the ring. Perhaps someone tried to turn us against each other."

That had to be it.

Otherwise, Olivia would not have become so emotional and even asked Lily to choose between her and Alexander.

Now, Olivia had ended up treating Alexander as a murderer.

"No, that's not the same thing!"

Olivia shook her head and firmly denied it.

"How is it not the same? Even that could be fake, let alone an accusation. You-"

Before Lily could finish, a voice interrupted her, "Edward told you that, didn't he?"

Lily looked over her shoulder in astonishment as it was none other than Alexander who said it.

"Alex?" Confused, she looked at him in shock.

Olivia was also surprised as she did not expect him to admit it. She sneered.

"So, you admit it?"

"Well, I think you believe it so firmly because Edward said it himself,"

Alexander deduced from what she said, and it was not an admission.

After a pause, he added, "I guessed there must be some misunderstanding since Edward refuses to see me.If that's the case, tell him to come out. Isn't it better if we talked it out face-to-face?"

"Is Edward..."

Lily frowned and looked toward the bedroom.

One bedroom was on both sides of the corridor with the doors closed.

If anyone else was in the apartment unit, the person had to be in either one of those rooms.

"He doesn't wish to see you!"

Olivia turned around, wiped tears off her face, and said coldly, "There's nothing to discuss, so just go! He worked for you and willingly saved you, but what you did disappointed him. Let's not ever meet again!"

"No!"

Lily said decisively.

"We must talk it out and put the misunderstanding to an end! If Alex truly did it, I would not forgive him, but what if Edward misunderstood the situation? Since we're here, what could be better than them sorting it out together?"

Olivia looked at Lily hesitantly-all this while used to listening to Lily's instructions and had even worshipped her.

If it were not for what had happened to Edward, she would never hold a grudge against Lily.

Hearing Lily say those words swayed her.

As she hesitated, a deep male voice came from the corridor, "There's no need.I have nothing to say to Alex!"

The trio looked over and saw Edward emerging from inside in a wheelchair. He pushed the wheels forward and looked like he had lost much weight.

However, his gaze was frigid.

"Edward."

Alexander turned and called out to him before striding over.

"Don't get any closer!"

Edward stopped pushing the wheels, put up a hand, and looked at Alexander.

"Do not come near me just stand where you are!"
