Chapter 376: She Just Doesn't Know What to Do
Myles looked at Isabel and opened his mouth. He wanted to say something, but held it back. He couldn't say anything.
Isabel didn't even give Myles a chance to speak. "My purpose is very clear. I came back to ask you for some money as Bonnie's mother. After all, I know how much you care about Bonnie. So, I think no matter how much I ask from you, you will give it to me."
"It's just that things are a little bit different from what I planned, but it doesn't matter now. Bonnie gave me the money I wanted. I came here today to apologize to you at Bonnie's request."
Isabel looked at Myles. "I was the one who betrayed the family back then. I seduced your father, and your father was having an affair with me. Myles, it doesn't matter if you hate me, no matter what, I don't care."
"Sorry, I hurt your parents."
Myles's hands were clenched tightly under the quilt, and he couldn't say the cruel words he wished to say.
Isabel seemed to have finished speaking, she got up. "Take care of yourself."
After speaking, Isabel turned around and was about to leave.
"Wait a moment!"
When Isabel walked to the door of the ward, Myles called out to stop her.
Isabel stopped when she heard him, and turned to look at Myles, who was lying on the bed. "How much did Bonnie give you?"
Isabel looked at Myles for a few seconds. "I can't tell you that."
Just as Myles was about to throw off the quilt and get out of bed, Evan came in from the door and pointed at Myles. "Lie down there." Myles looked at Evan upon hearing him.
Evan glanced at Isabel, carried his things into the ward, and pushed Myles, who had just got up, onto the bed. "What are you doing? Lie down." Before Myles could speak, Isabel turned and left.
Myles frowned, got up again, and was about to get out of bed to chase her, but Evan stopped him again. "What are you doing? Do you want to die?" Myles suddenly lost his strength and leaned against the bed again. "I..."
He wanted to say something, but then changed the subject. "Fine."
Evan glanced at him and sat down on the chair beside the bed. "I brought some fruit for you. Eat some. Let me tell you, nothing is as important as your own health." Myles hummed and didn't refute it.
Evan watched him keep his eyes on the ward door, thinking of the person standing at the door just now, and asked, "Who was that person?"
When Myles heard Evan's words, he came back to his senses and said nonchalantly, "Bonnie's mother."
Evan frowned upon hearing this. "Hasn't it been a long time since she disappeared? Why did she come back suddenly?"
Myles frowned, "She said she wanted to come back to get some money from me, but then suddenly she didn't want it, but came to apologize to me." "Apologize to you? Why?"
Myles didn't speak and leaned against the head of the bed, wondering about something in his mind.
Evan just stared at him for a while. "You... Did you break up with Bonnie?"
"I don't think so."
Evan snorted coldly. "I heard from your brother you didn't care about leaving her in the car, and it was your brother who sent her back home. If it were before, you wouldn't treat her like that." Myles laughed when he heard Evan's words. "You all really know me well."
"You care about Bonnie, who doesn't know about it?"
"Yes, you all know how much I care about her, and how much I, Myles, love Bonnie, but why doesn't Bonnie know? She doesn't love me!"
Upon hearing this, Evan raised his eyebrows. "Indeed, she doesn't love you, so why don't you date someone else?"
Myles glared at him. "It's not news that she didn't love me, and I got used to it!"
Evan stared at him for a while, and said, "You fucking deserve it!"
Myles didn't take it seriously. "You just know me so well."
Evan didn't speak, took out the porridge brought along, and handed it to Myles. "Eat this, don't starve here. I will be held accountable in the end." Myles looked at the porridge that Evan handed over, and frowned in disgust. "I'm a patient now, you let me eat this?"
"What's the matter? How many dishes should I prepare for you?"
"If you want to prepare, I don't mind."
Evan cursed. "Shut up! Eat! Finish all of this! If you can't finish, I'll tell Bonnie you're going to kill yourself and ask her to come here now!"
Myles didn't respond to Evan's words, but he was thinking in his heart that it was just perfect. If he could call her, Myles didn't have to find excuses to contact her. But Myles didn't say this in front of Evan.
Evan sat down in a chair and stared at him as he ate half the porridge in the bowl before speaking. "So, why did you end up in hospital this time?" "She's self-righteous."
Myles replied in a low voice.
Evan laughed. "Couldn't it be you who are self-righteous?"
Myles ate a spoonful of porridge and said, "I said Bonnie is self-righteous!"
Evan hummed. "Well, Bonnie is so self-righteous!"
Myles turned his face and glared at him. "If you say another word against her, I'll beat you up."
Evan said, "... Eat your food."
The Cooke family.
When Yanis woke up in the morning, Bonnie was no longer in bed. It was cold by her side, so it must have been a long time since she woke up. Yanis got out of bed and called her in a low voice.
Bonnie leaned half her body in from the balcony. "It's blowing."
Yanis heard the sound and walked towards the balcony.
Even though it was spring, it was still a bit chilled in the morning.
As soon as Yanis went out, she couldn't help shivering. "Catching a cold will make you feel better?"
Bonnie glanced at her sideways. "I'm wearing a coat. I just want to be sober. My mind is messed up all night, and I can't figure out anything."
Yanis put her clothes together and looked at her. "What do you want to figure out?"
Bonnie turned around and leaned against the railing. "I want to know if the relationship between me and Myles should end. After so many years of entanglement, he should be exhausted." When Yanis heard Bonnie's words, she asked directly, "You really think so?"
Bonnie didn't speak.
Yanis looked at her and asked again, "Do you really want to end it?"
Bonnie was a little at a loss when Yanis questioned her. She whispered, "Why don't you persuade me?"
Yanis looked at her with displeasure. "I think you lost your mind in this wind."
After speaking, Yanis stretched out her hand to pull Bonnie and walked inside. "Let's go in."
Bonnie followed Yanis into the door. "Yanis, I... Do you think I should talk to him again?"
Yanis poured some cold water. "What are you talking about? What did you say last night? You don't remember?"
When Bonnie thought about what she said to Myles last night, she stopped talking.
In that case, anyone would be angry at her words.
Myles was a gentleman, just being angry.
