Chapter 404 Why Did Scumbag Suddenly Become So Obsessive?
Iris said he needed to meet his client. But people noticed that it wasn't necessarily the case.
He fled.
Iris's fondness for Yanis had been no less obvious.
Even though he knew that Yanis was married, he still liked her.
Anna had just revealed his secret to everyone.
For a person who loved someone unrequitedly, it was painful. Iris felt suffocated.
After the fight, Bonnie felt a little regretful. She turned around, asked about Anika's situation, and then turned to Yanis.
There wasn't much expression on Yanis' face, but it was not difficult to see that she was not in a good mood.
Bonnie stuffed all the things in her hand to Myles, "Put them in the car. We will wait for you at the door."
Myles glanced at Yanis and walked to the car with the bags.
After Myles left, Bonnie pulled Yanis, "Yanis, I'm sorry, I was a little out of control just now."
When Yanis heard Bonnie's words, she looked back at her, "What?"
"What are you thinking?"
Yanis pursed her lower lip, "I was thinking, maybe I won't visit Old Mr. Duncan tonight."
Bonnie looked at Yanis. "Because of Iris?"
Yanis neither admitted nor denied, "Let's talk about it later."
After speaking, something seemed to have occurred to her. She turned to Anika, "Anika, you said the person you met at the antique store was Iris?" Anika nodded, "But I didn't have time to ask his name at that time."
Bonnie also looked at Anika, "When did you meet Iris?"
"At the antique store, by chance."
Bonnie said, "I heard from old Mr Duncan that Iris likes antiques, and sometimes he gets so absorbed in them that he even forgets about the food." Speaking of this, Bonnie looked at Anika again, "I didn't expect you also like antiques. You can talk to Iris about it."
Anika was a little absent-minded. She nodded at Bonnie.
Originally, Bonnie wanted to tell Yanis something, but because of Anika, she eventually didn't.
After the episode just now, they were no longer in the mood for shopping.
Yanis asked Myles to send Anika back to Lawrence's Manson before returning to D-king Castle.
Myles sent Anika to the door. He got a call and went to deal with something.
Bonnie and Yanis changed their clothes at home. Bonnie put on Yanis's clothes, and they were ready to go.
The door was opened from the outside.
Bonnie was slightly taken aback when she saw the person walking in from the door, "Hey, Mr. Lawrence. You are off work?"
Zane looked at Bonnie, "Are you here for Yanis?"
Bonnie nodded, "Yeah."
At this time, Yanis took her mobile phone and came down the stairs. When she saw Zane standing at the entrance, she was slightly surprised, "Why did you come back so early?" Zane stood at the entrance and glanced at Yanis's clothes, "Are you going out?"
Yanis nodded, "I was about to call you. Old Mr. Duncan invited Bonnie and me to dinner tonight, so I won't be home to eat with you."
Zane was silent for a few seconds, then he looked at Yanis, "Can I go with you?"
After hearing Zane's words, Bonnie looked up at him abruptly.
Yanis was also a little shocked. "Are you going to Duncan Residence with me?"
Zane hummed, "Can't I?"
He could.
Yet Yanis thought of what had happened in the afternoon. Wouldn't it be a bit awkward if Zane also went there?
But before Yanis could respond to Zane, his phone rang.
Zane glanced at Yanis, and answered the phone first, "Yes?"
It was Myles calling. "Available? Come to the black market?"
"Found it?"
Myles replied, "Yeah. But there is someone I think you should meet."
Zane hesitated for a few seconds, "I'll come now."
After that, Zane hung up, and looked up at Yanis, "Then you guys go there first. I need to go out for a while. I have something to deal with." Yanis nodded, "Will you go back to Lawrence's Manson for dinner tonight?"
"We'll see. Drive safe."
After speaking, Zane walked out.
On his leaving, Bonnie breathed a sigh of relief, "Why is Scumbag so needy all of a sudden?"
"Is he?"
While talking, Yanis put on her shoes, "Let's go."
Bonnie hummed.
The two walked out the door side by side.
Zane had bought Yanis a white Audi.
But Yanis seldom drove it.
It had been in the garage for a long time.
Bonnie took the car keys, "You have a car, but why don't you drive it?"
"I don't go out often, and even if I went out, there was Albi, so I don't need to drive."
Bonnie said, "It's just because you don't want to drive."
"I will later."
Bonnie got into the car and started. "Yanis, ignore what Anna said today. Don't act weirdly in front of Iris."
Yanis hummed softly, "I know."
Bonnie sighed, "Helen of Troy!"
Yanis turned to her sternly.
Bonnie smiled, "No, I am just saying nit to myself. You know, I don't do that in front of other people."
Yanis was speechless.
When they arrived at Duncan Residence, it was five o'clock in the afternoon.
On the way there, the two went shopping.
They bought Magnus's favorite food and some other presents.
They parked the car at the door. As they were taking stuff out of the car, a black car pulled up next to them.
Seeing the people getting out of the car, Bonnie approached Yanis, "Go and say hello!"
Yanis glanced up, then bent over and took the bags out of the car, and turned to look at Iris, "Finished your work?"
Iris hummed, and naturally reached out to take the bags from Yanis's hand, "You know you don't have to bring any gifts." Yanis said, "I haven't visited Mr. Duncan for a long time."
"He talked about you not long ago." Iris reached out to pick up the things in Bonnie's hand too, "I'll carry it."
Bonnie handed a bag to Iris, "Carry this, and I'll be responsible for the rest."
Iris let Bonnie go first and then walked behind Yanis.
They talked about random topics. Neither of them mentioned what happened at the mall in the afternoon.
