Chapter 612 It's Considered Borrowing From Me

Mitch glanced to the side, but the two brothers mentioned didn't look over. Natasha did glance at Mitch, but she didn't say anything either.

Mitch didn't want to say anything in front of Yanis, so he gently patted Mia's head and whispered, "Go watch TV."

Mia nodded and turned back to Natasha.

After Mia left, Mitch looked at Yanis and said softly, "Yanis, they caused you in trouble today."

Yanis shook her head. "I left some food for you in the kitchen. Go eat it while it's still hot."

Mitch nodded and started walking inside before remembering anything else. He looked back at Yanis and said, "Yanis, this house is too cheap for a thousand a month. I'll give you three thousand instead." He had already seen this neighborhood when he came in; it was an upscale area that they could never afford to buy even if they saved up their whole lives. So renting would definitely cost more than three thousand.

But right now that was all Mitch could offer.

Yanis shook her head again. "No need; just stick with what we agreed on before - one thousand is enough."

Mitch wanted to say something else, but Yanis had already turned around and headed towards the kitchen and said, "Go wash your hands; I'll bring out your food."

Mitch watched Yanis walk away, then hesitated before turning around and wandering aimlessly through the living room until he found himself in the bathroom where he washed his face and hands before coming out again.

The food was already laid out on the table by then.

"Come and eat quickly, so you can rest early," said Yanis as soon as Mitch sat down.

At first Mitch glanced at the dishes on the table and then looked up at Yanis, asking, "Are you leaving?"

"It's getting late now; I had originally planned to leave earlier, but since they have just arrived here, I thought maybe waiting till after dinner would be better."

Upon hearing this response from her once again, Mitch thanked her, sincerely saying, "Let me walk you outside, Yan."

Although initially reluctant, Yan followed along anyway after seeing how insistent Mitch was about accompanying her outside. She bid farewell separately to Natasha, Mia, Taylor and Payne, respectively, before finally stepping outside.

Manches City, which had almost reached the end of its spring season. The night air wasn't particularly chilly despite being windy.

"Mitch, is there anything specific that needs to be discussed?" asked Yannis proactively once more beside him. After hearing Yanis' words, Mitch turned to look at him with a serious expression. "Yanis, you don't have to do this for us. My dad's decision was his own choice, and we don't blame you for it. You're making us feel a little uncomfortable by doing this."

Although Mitch's words were somewhat tactful, Yanis still sensed something from them.

She was putting pressure on them.

Yanis looked at Mitch for a moment. "Okay then, I'll help Mia and the others find good schools, so they can go back to studying there. I'll also cover some of their living expenses. Can you just think of it as borrowing money from me? You can earn more money later and pay me back slowly."

"Yanis..."

"Mitch."

Without giving Mitch a chance to speak up, Yanis interrupted him with her voice. "I know what you're thinking in your heart, but look at Mia - do you really want her to stay home like this forever? When she was in Viteto the Hill District, her grades were very good - you know that too. And Taylor along with Payne and Natasha are not yet adults; are you really going to let their lives be like this?"

Yanis' words left Mitch without any reason to argue.

Finally, after a long silence, he agreed with Yanis' suggestion: "Okay then... consider these expenses as if I'm borrowing them from you; I will repay it later."

Yanis nodded in agreement: "But the condition is that you won't go out and earn money like Underground Market again; otherwise I won't accept any of your money."

Mitch nodded: "I understand."

Looking at Mitch again before leaving by car, Yanish couldn't help but reach out her hand and gently rub his head before saying, "Go inside now eat dinner, and get some rest early." Mitch replied, "Goodbye, Yanis."

"Goodbye."

After watching Yanish drive away, Mitch finally turned around and went inside.

Looking at the luxurious decoration of the living room, Mitch's face had an icy expression.

Everything that Yanish gave them would probably never be repaid during his lifetime.

Money could be paid back, but such kindness could only be owed forever.

Marnon said that although their father got into trouble because of Yanish, it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't brought Yannis to Viteto.

So, to get to the root of it, that incident was a disaster that Father brought upon himself. Unfortunately, he didn't have the luck to make it through.

At first, they may have held some negative feelings towards Yanis, but they didn't hate her.

It wasn't until after everything had settled down and they were completely calm that they no longer harbored any resentment or hatred towards Yanis.

Especially after Yanis came back to see them and left some money under Marnon's pillow. They only felt guilty towards Yanis.

And grateful too.

Because that money ended up saving Marnon's life at Viteto the Hill District Hospital. So now for them, Yanis is a benefactor.

When Mitch walked in, Taylor and Payne stood up together and went over to Mitch with sincerity apologizing for fighting today. They said there wouldn't be another time.

Normally Mitch would say something back, but he wasn't really in the mood right now, so he just waved his hand dismissively, saying, "You guys go take a shower and sleep. Is there enough room? If not I'll sleep on the sofa in the living room."

Natasha also stood up at this point, saying, "I'll sleep with Mia; you guys each take a room. And leave one for Reed too. After Mom gets better, then she can stay downstairs."

This was a big flat with six or seven rooms in total, so there was no need for everyone to squeeze together like before.

After listening to Natasha, Mitch fell silent for several seconds before finally making an affirmative sound, "Where is my room?"

"Second floor between Taylor's and Payne's," Natasha replied.

"Alright then go ahead and get some rest," said Mitch as he turned around walking towards the dining area.

Everything here looked very expensive, which made him feel like there was a huge rock pressing down on his chest, making him feel suffocated inside.

Today's job had been arranged by Yanis' husband, who paid eight thousand dollars per month which was considered high salary compared with what Mitch usually earned. The work itself required little effort, which made him feel like he was just wasting time doing nothing all day long.

The more he thought about it, the more chaotic his mind became, causing him to lose his appetite even looking at food right now seemed unappetizing.

Finally giving up eating, he picked up his phone to call Albi instead. But he hesitated for a moment. He felt it would be impolite to say it over the phone, so he decided to talk to Albi in person tomorrow.
