Kason walked ahead, carrying items, and said, "You still haven't answered the Longman family's call?"

Brandon followed Kason, "I'll go see them this afternoon. Nelson called me yesterday."

Kason glanced at Brandon, "Are you going alone?"

"Taking Sandy with me."

Upon hearing this, Brandon turned to Kason, "Bro, your eyes are fine, right?"

Kason immediately glared at him, "What nonsense!"

"Didn't you notice the way Sandy and I are dressed today?" Brandon asked.

Kason, finally paying attention, looked at Sandy's attire and then back at Brandon, "Matching outfits?"

Brandon smirked, "Haven't you and your wife worn matching outfits?"

"Are you kidding me? You're over thirty!"

"Age doesn't matter when it comes to matching outfits."

Kason sighed and was about to say something when he realized that Brandon was his own brother. Insulting him was like insulting himself.

So, Kason chose to ignore Brandon's taunts and walked ahead.

Brandon, not one to back down, followed him and continued, "Hey, bro, didn't you and your wife wear matching outfits when you were young? How about I ask Berton to send you two sets?"

Kason had had enough. He stopped, turned to Brandon with a stern look, and said, "Don't get too smug. This whole situation is thanks to Sandy's understanding. If she hadn't been so considerate, you'd still be single."

Brandon winced at the truth, but quickly rebounded, "Well, I'm lucky to have someone as understanding and wonderful as Sandy."

Kason almost facepalmed.

He could tell that Brandon was trying to show off and be cocky. But then he remembered that Brandon was his younger brother. Criticizing him too harshly would be like criticizing himself. Kason decided to let it go. "Alright, fine."

Aunt Bruton hadn't been sleeping well these past few days due to the Longman family's matters. She had been worrying about Sandy.

Now that she saw Sandy, she had eyes only for her.

"Sandy, come over here."

Sandy walked over and sat beside Aunt Bruton on the couch.

"Have you lost weight recently? You look a bit thinner than last time I saw you. Is Brandon not taking care of you properly?" Aunt Bruton held Sandy's hand and expressed her concern. Sandy wanted to say that they hadn't seen each other in months, but she didn't want to correct Aunt Bruton. After all, she was getting older, and her memory wasn't the best.

Aunt Bruton continued to shower Sandy with attention, and after a while, she scolded Brandon in front of everyone, finally turning the page on this matter.

Later, Aunt Bruton and Stella sat alone and discussed Sandy and Brandon's engagement.

Stella didn't impose any conditions, except that Brandon should treat Sandy well and live a good life together. She didn't bring up material things like cars and houses because they were unimportant to Stella and Sandy.

Both sisters had the same mindset: to be together for the rest of their lives and face challenges hand in hand. Apart from life, death, sickness, and old age, they wouldn't be easily separated.

Aunt Bruton wouldn't leave them with nothing, though. She had arranged everything properly, including the necessary procedures.

After retelling the story of Brandon and Olive to Aunt Bruton, they finally moved on.

Originally, Aunt Bruton had thought about waiting for Sandy to give birth before holding the wedding, following Sandy and Brandon's wishes. However, she realized it was best to follow the proper procedures now.

Aunt Bruton had already found an auspicious date and time for the engagement banquet and the wedding, with a month's difference between them. Aunt Bruton had discussed this with Stella, and Stella didn't object. She said that the decision should be based on Sandy and Brandon's thoughts. Brandon had initially considered waiting until after Sandy gave birth, but after the incident with Olive, he agreed with Aunt Bruton's suggestion. They decided to proceed with the formalities.

Brandon drove Sandy to the hospital to visit Olive.

Sandy was nervous. She didn't have a high level of education and didn't graduate from a prestigious university. She had simply attended a drama school. Compared to Olive, who had a master's degree and had spent years studying abroad, Sandy felt inadequate.

She felt she lacked the knowledge that made a person charming. She wasn't on par.

Sometimes, a person's knowledge could reflect their charm, and she didn't have that.

As they drove to the hospital, Sandy was silent, lost in thought. Brandon noticed her unease but decided not to say anything.

He wanted to ask her a few times, but Sandy waved him off each time, saying, "Brandon, I need some time to think."

After half an hour, they arrived at the hospital.

Brandon got out of the car and helped Sandy out. He whispered, "Are you feeling better now?"

Sandy looked at Brandon and nodded seriously, "Brandon."

"Yeah?"

"Do you... like women who are educated?"

Brandon understood Sandy's train of thought. She had been quiet the whole way, lost in her own thoughts.

He closed the car door, half-embraced her, and said as they walked, "I like someone because of who they are, not for any other reason."

Sandy nodded, not fully grasping his words. As they entered the hospital lobby, she suddenly stopped in her tracks, "Are we going in empty-handed?"

Just then, Berton hurried over. "Mr. Hawkins, Miss Thompson."

Seeing Berton, Sandy was about to say something, but stopped herself. She nodded at him in response.

Brandon took a fruit basket from Berton and quietly instructed Sandy, "Let's go back for now."

The situation at the company had reached a bottleneck, and the victims' families were refusing a private settlement, insisting on legal proceedings. The matter was still in a stalemate.
