"That's all?" Ivor was surprised.

"It might be because she doesn't want you to shoulder her secrets alone. It'll be highly impolite and disrespectful if you keep digging. Wouldn't you agree?"

Ivor imitated her by leaning back into his seat. "You're something else, Ms. Bonita. Not only did you shut me up, but your explanation was also flawless."

Instead of responding, Bonnie shit her eyes and rested, hinting at him that he could leave. However, Ivor was so thick-skinned that he stayed. "I believe you and Bonnie go way back, Ms. Bonita. Do you think we'll get married?"

She opened her eyes to look at him and say, "I do scientific research and don't have time to delve into romantic matters. So, I hope you forgive me for being unable to answer such a question." "Well, do you think Bonnie loves me?" Ivor pressed.

She could not stop her lips from twitching. Ultimately, she threw the question back at him, "What do you think?"

He nodded solemnly. "I think she does. Bonnie is so madly in love that she'll marry and be with me forever. I'll even say she wants to have my babies."

Bonnie gnashed her teeth as she thought, 'Ugh! I have to control myself!'

"Really, now?" She asked.

"Absolutely!" Ivor nodded. Then, he leaned in and whispered, "Here's a secret for you. You can't tell anyone about it."

"What is it?"

He grinned wickedly. "Bonnie might seem serious, but she's incredibly affectionate in my arms every night. She'll do anything I ask her to do."

Although Bonnie sighed as discreetly as possible, Ivor caught it. He could not help but burst into laughter. "Hahaha! I'll invite you to our wedding. You have to be there!"
