But I didn’t dare open my eyes or move from my crouched position, with my arms around my bent knees and my head in my lap (it’s called the foetal position, you idiot!).

Suddenly the door to my cell burst open… I felt the draught… I knew he was standing in front of me, watching me. So I opened my eyes to look at him. His beauty equalled the fear he gave me. He was still in his lupine form and coming towards me with a predatory gaze… He was now a metre away from me and getting even closer… He likes to play on my fear of him… His magnificent black muzzle was now next to my ear. B***d was dripping from his mouth onto my leg.

He let out a sigh that startled me. It must have been his way of telling me that he was reassured that I was still alive. But all of a sudden he growled. I was terrified. I think it’s because I provoked him. He lay down on the ground, changing back. He was covered in wounds and bleeding a lot.
