I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 48

Julian didn’t know if it was the best thing to do but he turned the phone off without even picking it up. He wasn’t really interested in what Nolan wanted to tell him, rather, he wondered how it was that he had his number. His new cell phone along with the line was something Madox had bought him some time ago. He didn’t realize he was frowning until he felt the alpha’s finger gently caressing the area.

-You’re not going to answer,” she saw curiosity on his face, “Maybe he’s a suitor. At least he has to be better looking than me,” he joked.

Julian looked at him with a serious look on his face and he laughed. If there was one thing that bothered her about him, it was how tactless he could be about some things and how little perception he had about others. Look at him saying something like that to her when they were both almost unclothed in bed. She sighed giving up, Madox might be at the top of the alphas but that didn’t take away from the fact that he had a trail of flaws behind him.

Pursing her lips she sat up and moved closer to the alpha and wrapped her arms around his neck seeking his lips again. It was rare for her to take the initiative when it came to the s****l subject but she felt that this time she could do it, she needed to. He swung his legs over either side of Madox’s h**s and straddled him letting his weight lean against the massive alpha’s which cost him nothing.

-Sometimes you really annoy me, you know,” he murmured.

Madox was at first surprised by both the action and his words to which she found no meaning but she let him and responded to the k**s by biting his lips and opening them to deepen the k**s. His hands moved down her back until they were on her buttocks and squeezed them after tucking them inside her underwear. But she pulled away with a smile, leaving him a little dazed.

-I know very well what my little bird wants, I don’t object but it seems to me that now is not a good time,” she grabbed him by the waist and put him back on the bed grunting at the loss of the comfortable weight on him, especially on top of his member that was beginning to fill. He was getting aroused very quickly with Julian- Your pheromones were at alarming levels very recently and I don’t want to risk you having a seizure and less so under my care- he got up and put the tray in front of him- I like the fun but I am a responsible doctor even if I don’t look it, so you will eat and keep sleeping until you are stable-.

Julian looked from the tray and then at him, dropping his shoulders. Maybe that was better.

The food on the tray despite looking appetizing didn’t appeal to him, his stomach was truly upset so he just opted to take the glass of juice and drink it in small sips. It wasn’t that heavy but it still wasn’t comfortable to swallow.

-Just eat what you need, don’t force yourself- as a good doctor who knew his patient he noticed the discomfort of his body, as he took off his clothes and stayed only in his dark boxers that only covered what was necessary and fit his hard a*s perfectly.

Madox left the rest of the clothes on the floor and running the quilt he got under it, grabbing from the nightstand the remote control and turned on the huge TV.

-Do you want to watch something?” he asked, settling down next to him with one arm behind his head.

-Not really,” she looked at him, “Are you tired?

Madox yawned and tossed his hair nonchalantly. He passed the channels without something specific he liked- I’m doubling shifts, I have enough work, especially at this time so to go on vacation I have to advance some things- he yawned again and left the control in her lap to him.

She slipped her arm around Julian’s waist and snuggled against the seated omega’s h*p.

-I’m going to sleep, you can watch whatever you want- he kissed her bare skin- Don’t take too long to sleep, tomorrow we get up early to stop by your house and figure out the rest- his voice trailed off- You’ll spend the day with me at the hospital, I want to run some tests to confirm everything is okay with you, your heat is close and maybe there will be some complication- Almost a whisper- Ah, how good this feels- she pressed herself tighter to his h*p and immediately her breathing became steady. She didn’t want to admit it but sharing her bed wasn’t so bad after all, it was the first time she had fallen asleep so peacefully inside her own room.

Julian stroked her head burying his fingers in the soft blonde hair and smiled. Madox had a thousand flaws but his virtues overshadowed them. He was quite tender for his imposing appearance and although he didn’t look it he was very attentive to the people he cared about.

Ten minutes later he turned off the TV and lay down. The alpha’s arms soon wrapped around him and drew him against him. His face sank into his hair purring lightly. Julian felt comfortable in his position. He remembered how good it felt to sleep next to him.

Two days later.

Aidan looked at the clock that read 9:00 pm. He was nervous. The next day they would be leaving for Hawaii. He knew that on that trip something was definitely going to happen. He was anxious and could barely concentrate on the sketch he was drawing on the wacom his alpha had given him so he opted to leave it next to him on the couch. He got up and poured himself a large glass of water and grabbed his lozenges letting them go down his throat.

Minutes later he shuddered. With each dose it was as if a part of her body changed. Nothing was like it used to be. She was now more susceptible to Dominic’s pheromones and enjoyed smelling them around him. On the other hand his chest tightened when he spent hours away for long periods of time, even just hearing him talk on the phone made the calm come back to him. It was something he had never experienced before and it was strange.

Right now she was waiting for him to walk in the door. He had read that it was normal between destined couples for distance to affect the omegas more than the alphas but it was strange. She couldn’t tell if the longing to have the man by her side was because of their bond or because of her own feelings. The line between the two was very thin, so much so that it was barely perceptible.

She had discussed the subject with Julian, the only thing Julian had told her was to let herself go without fear. Dominic had demanded it, so there was no obstacle for him to hold back. That he shouldn’t think too much on the subject and just look at everything as if it was all the same. Aidan sighed, if he had been omega from the start and not had part of his life hidden from him his true nature everything would be so much easier. But Julian was right. What did it matter if it was because of their bond or because of him. Her future was already tied to Dominic’s.

He heard the door open and walked over. The alpha entered at last but slightly hunched over and with a noticeably tired expression.

-Dominic,” Aidan walked over to him and took him by the shoulders.

-Hello love,” he kissed her forehead, “I’m finally here,” his arms wrapped around his omega’s narrow waist and turned him around, gluing her to the door. Her nose rested against Aidan’s neck- I’ve been waiting all day for this- he breathed against her skin- You smell so sweet-

Aidan felt the large body relax against his.

-Too much work?

-Hmm.

-Apparently the omegas here have it pretty easy this time. Julian told me that Madox was also exhausted these days from overwork.

-He deserves it,” Dominic protested, licking the bare skin of his collarbone, “Let him know what it’s like to spend hours under sail.

Aidan raised an eyebrow and then smiled.

-Good thing you’re his friend.

The alpha’s lips now ended against his.

-Don’t talk about another alpha while you’re with me,” he whispered before sealing his lips in a k**s that wasn’t intense, but possessive.

When she broke away her eyelids drooped. The omega ran a hand over his cheek.

-I’m going to take a bath and sleep, tomorrow we have to be at the airport at noon, but I can’t give more,” he smiled tiredly and released him.

-You won’t eat anything? Aidan helped him take off his jacket and hung it up.

-Don’t worry,” Dominic loosened the knot of his tie and disheveled his hair, “I’m so tired I have no appetite, tomorrow I’ll devour the whole breakfast for sure,” he leaned down and left a k**s on his lips, “Sleep well, my precious,” he said.

The alpha turned around and went to his room unbuttoning his shirt. His step was a little unsteady and with barely any strength he showered and with his hair still wet he dropped on his bed.

Aidan looked at the clock again. It now read 1:00 am and he couldn’t sleep. It had been like that the last two days but that night it was more severe. His body didn’t want to sleep alone and the mark on his neck itched. His alpha was sleeping a few feet away from him in the other room. Would it be a bad thing if he slept together with him? The next day they would have a trip of several hours that would exhaust them and surely at the hotel they would sleep in the same room so why not get ready. Dominic was asleep, he would just lie down next to him and close his eyes so as not to disturb him. He would think of an excuse when he opened his eyes.

With her usual determination she left her room and opened the door to her partner’s bedroom to find him on his side wearing only his silk pants. He hadn’t even covered himself and despite having developed senses he didn’t perceive when his omega entered. Aidan noted that he must be extremely exhausted. He grabbed the crumpled quilt in one corner and stretched it out covering his alpha’s body. Very carefully he reached under it and hugged him from behind.

Dominic’s back was more comfortable than he thought it would be and the smell of him soon had him in a delicious haze that turned everything black and quiet around him.
