I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 5

Dominic leaned against the doorframe of the Design Office, watching his supposedly destined partner immersed in his work, oblivious to his surroundings. The alpha’s presence was so intimidating that almost everyone noticed he was there but the one who should.

-President,” one of the other employees exclaimed and the rest of them stopped their tasks and rose from their seats nervously. Aidan only looked up from the screen and frowned.

The alpha took advantage of his attention and called out to him by wagging his index finger, an action that made him close his eyes and sigh. Aidan stood up from the table clenching his fists and gaining as much patience as he could, he didn’t want to

Dominic stopped a few feet from the elevator and turned around with his bearing several inches off him.

-And I sent you an answer, you gave us a time limit for the completion of the project, a project that changed for the most part.

Like him, he kept a firm posture and did not raise his voice, he seemed calm and used to dealing with demanding bosses like him. Aidan was hard to bend. Maybe a little pressure would solve that. Aidan seemed unfazed by his words, he blinked slowly and took a breath to show an expression that hid all the rage he could contain with the threat.

Dominic narrowed his eyes. His attitude, for sure, had brought him to where he was, an intelligent and self-confident young man. There were few of them left, he didn’t look like an omega, maybe in his physique he was. He was smaller than the other men in the company, even those around his own age, and how delicate his appearance was. He was just the right size to be underneath a more masculine body moaning deliciously. But…woe betide anyone who wanted to pass him off as submissive, he didn’t seem to have a hair on his head.

-Director Miller,” a young employee from the editorial area came running up to him.

They both watched him stop in front of them without noticing their conversation.

-I’m glad I found you, we need the supplies for the second part of the pamphlets.

-Oh, thank you,” the boy smiled and literally ogled him, something that did not go unnoticed by Dominic who began to unconsciously expel pheromones to repel him, annoyed by the beta’s attributions and not having greeted him properly, who only felt the dense atmosphere around his boss.

-If you’ll excuse me- he said when he saw that he was no longer welcome in the conversation and withdrew with the same speed.

Dominic felt better knowing he had expelled the threat.

-How can you feel my pheromones if you are a beta,” that was a quality of only other alphas and omegas, pheromones did not affect betas unless they were very intense, but not in the way Aidan seemed to sense them.

-I’ve been very sensitive since I was a child, despite being beta, I can perceive them slightly, but yours are more intense,” Dominic tried to approach again but Aidan increased the distance.

-There’s something you’re hiding from me Aidan Miller and I’m going to find out.

The young man shook his head trying to make the discomfort dissipate, achieving results.

-What is your interest in me?” He seemed tired of her insistence, “We hardly know each other, I don’t owe you anything, I just want to work and be quiet.

-I already mentioned it to you, you are my omega, my destined partner,” Dominic emphasized.

Again with the same thing. Aidan sighed and sat up, managing to remain stable.

Aidan did not let him answer, he turned back to the office leaving him with the word in his mouth, and not knowing what to say.

-Sir- Leo at his back called out to him. He had kept his distance when he noticed the dense atmosphere.

-Did you see how that boy spoke to me?” he seemed more indignant than annoyed.

His secretary only kept silent, hiding the laughter he was holding back at the sight of someone putting Dominic in his place, besides his parents.

-Sir, I think you’ll find what I found interesting, it’s about what you sent me to investigate,” he said.

-I hope so- he took the papers and returned to his office still remembering the words of that beta-omega, he no longer knew what it was.

Aidan said goodbye to the custodian stretching his arms as he felt the night breeze on his face. Another day late leaving work, for a change, only with the difference that his boyfriend was waiting for him at the entrance with his car. Apparently he was smelling something he didn’t like and incidentally, didn’t exist. He had already found out about his new boss.

-Hans,” she called to him as she walked toward him.

-Beautiful, I came to pick you up today,” typical of someone jealous, but she wouldn’t argue with him, since he was there she would take advantage of the ride.

From the window Dominic watched the scene and scratched the glass with his neat fingernails. Even though he had told himself a thousand times that he would not insist with him, it was impossible to ignore that Aidan was meant to be his and that he was next to another man activated all his possessive alpha senses.

-Don’t worry Aidan Miller, now I can assure you that soon you will be mine,” his eyes turned an intense green, “My omega.
