I'm Not Yours, Alpha
I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 74

The cell phone screen lit up with an incoming call that lasted one ring, just one ring, although the owner of this one did not notice it, rather, he was in no condition to do so. And how to do it being on his last day of heat and being satisfied by his alpha.

Dominic buried his h**s between his omega’s as he devoured her mouth. Their bodies were exhausted after days of pure s*x quenching their partner’s need. Now they were only indulging in passion with smooth movements and leisurely bodies, with more reasoning and without the pain of mating being so strong.

With one last movement he thrust in all the way to the base and let the knot create itself inside Aidan barely filling him with his semen. After so many knots the amount was not the same as it had been at the beginning. Even the first three knots had hurt his partner. It always happened despite being in heat. But once his warm insides got used to the expanse of the huge bulb at the base of his partner’s p***s it wasn’t so painful anymore.

Dominic lay on his side taking Aidan in his arms who had closed his eyes and was panting slower and slower as he lost consciousness. She kissed his forehead as she arranged his legs around him so that he would be more comfortable and the knot wouldn’t hurt. She knew they wouldn’t be together for almost half an hour like before but even so, too much time in the same position and with how tired his body must have been, it wasn’t good.

-Rest love,” she pressed her forehead to his and smiled.

He was a happy, complete alpha. He had money of his own, a fame that was rising in the business world with the rise of his latest success. His relationship with his parents was at least holding up, he wasn’t one to forget easily, but he hoped that in time the waters would calm down and they would accept his partner completely. He owned his own penhouse, though lately he was looking at mansions nearby. Maybe not as big as his parents’ but where they could live comfortably.

And of course and best of all, Aidan. He still remembered when they had first met, the way she had looked at him, the defiant gleam in her eyes. The rejection had hurt but the wait had tasted like glory in the end.

Now all that was left was to fill the small void inside him with puppies. A few that would be running around the immense garden that he would make sure his new home would have. But he was aware that for that they would have to wait. It would take at least another four or five years for Aidan’s body to regulate all his hormones and become fertile again. There was even the possibility that they could only have one puppy, but it didn’t matter, if it was Aidan’s he wouldn’t question it at all.

She pulled him closer to him and was grateful to be an alpha. An alpha who could find his destined mate and also who created a bond as strong as the one he had. He closed his eyes smiling, what more could he ask for? If he already had everything.

-What’s wrong?” his mate’s voice snapped Aidan out of his daze.

Even though he had come out of his heat and his body was exhausted he was sitting with his legs tucked up on the living room couch. His gaze fixed on his cell phone screen. Dominic came over to him ruffling his hair having just woken up. He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

-It’s nothing important,” he kissed her back on the lips and grimaced slightly, they were swollen and tender.

Dominic smiled.

-What would you like for breakfast? Shall I take it to bed? Where you should be, by the way. You mustn’t overexert yourself.

-I’m fine,” he went back to staring at the screen, unable to stop even when he had his partner showing off her sculpted body in just a pair of loose, h*p-length silk pants.

The alpha, now intrigued looked sideways at what was on the screen.

-Is there something wrong with that number? You seem to be very interested in him,” he couldn’t help but sound a little jealous. He was an alpha after all.

Aidan raised his head, noticing his partner’s condition, and took her hand.

-I don’t have a secret fiancé or anything, so put out the fire in your head. Thanks to that you’re causing me problems in your work,” he protested without much effort and then snorted.

The truth is that the return to the company had been a new process of adaptation, especially because the last time he had left he was a beta and now he was back as an omega. That had been quite a bombshell. Leo, like all efficient secretaries had paved the way but there was always one or two who commented and others who looked on with questioning eyes. Especially since he was now his boss’s partner.

But after the first week and the new law in the company that omegas could work as long as they had their meds and took care of themselves things calmed down a lot. He only had to quiet one or two people and work as usual. Although it always ended up in a tiff with the other department heads, especially if she was an alpha as some considered her inferior because she was now an omega. More than once she had to stop Dominic from kicking them out and the situation became more tense.

But months later everything was getting back to normal faster and faster.

They both heard a knock on the door.

-That must be Madox,” Dominic massaged the back of his neck. He had called him to check on Aidan after his heat. While he was in treatment the alpha would take care of monitoring both his jealousy and any occurrences.

She opened the door for him and was not surprised to find him with the same bitter, worn face he had had since Julian’s passing. A blow that had run him into the ground and from which he seemed unable or unwilling to recover.

-Good morning Madox,” he greeted him, “Come in, we were waiting for you.

If Madox had been his old self he would have blurted out some morning comment about having an excellent morning after a monumental f**k, but instead he came in quietly. He looked exhausted.

Dominic led him over to Aidan and poured him a large cup of coffee. Not even the revenge of destroying Nolan, the one who had hurt Julian had revitalized him. The couple was already aware of everything. Dominic that day could have sworn that Madox almost cried when he told what had happened to Julian at the hands of that alpha.

-It’s nothing important,” he kissed her back on the lips and grimaced slightly, they were swollen and tender.

The doctor opened his bag and started taking things out to check Aidan. He was almost on autopilot. Even working didn’t encourage him anymore. He didn’t care as long as the emptiness in his chest continued. He sighed and grabbed Aidan’s arm as he set the cell phone aside. His eyes strayed to the screen for a moment and he frowned.

-Why do you have that call too?” she raised her eyes to the omega.

Aidan denied.

-I don’t know. When I woke up it was already there. I was in heat so I don’t know who could have made it. I don’t recognize the number but for some reason I can’t unsee it.

Madox didn’t move. His mind was beginning to churn in a way it hadn’t for months.

-I have a similar situation. I remember all my contacts by heart and this number rang only once in the wee hours of the morning. I know because I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t call back because he didn’t insist, but….

He frowned and shook his head. He was going crazy. For a moment he had a faint hope that it was Julian but he was dead. He had to get his feet in reality and stop thinking in fantasies.

-Forget what I said- he grabbed a syringe to take a b***d sample from the omega.

-Madox I think- -Aidan was interrupted by a slight grunt from the alpha and did not continue.

Madox plopped down in his car seat and pulled up his cell phone screen. For some reason seeing those strange numbers made his heart pound again. Maybe it was a sign and he was just letting it go.

Well, there wasn’t much to lose so he returned the call and on the other end the operator told him that it was not possible to connect to the line.

Seriously, what the hell was going on? Again his little hope was gone and he simply put the cell phone away and started the car. He had to get his life back together, but he never imagined it would be so difficult.

On his way back home he drove past the police station and continued on but stopped the car abruptly. His hands clenched tightly on the steering wheel and he finally backed up until he parked in front and got out.

He got in looking for a person and saw the beautiful woman sitting behind a desk.

-Hello dear,” he forced a smile.

She smiled broadly at the sight of him and got up to jump up and k**s him but Madox managed to dodge her with some decency.

-Madox, you are very surly today. May I know why you ignore my calls, look now, you reject me, what’s gotten into you. You really enjoyed it when we had s*x.

A vein in Madox’s temple throbbed but he tried to look calm.

-I’ve been busy but look at me here,” he pulled out his cell phone and turned on the screen, “I need a favor from you, can you trace this number?
