I’m Not Yours, Alpha – Chapter 83

Aidan stirred in bed at the drilling sound beside him. He growled low in his throat and snuggled tighter against the strong chest in front of him. Still the sound did not cease.

-Quiet- Dominic’s hand stroked his head and at last there was silence. Aidan fell back to sleep sucking in the pheromones of his alpha.

Dominic smiled and turned on the screen. Who the hell was calling at that time in the morning. It was both of their day off and after working all week they had simply wanted to sleep. They hadn’t even made love. They had just taken a bath when they got back to bed. But of course there was always someone to disturb their peace and quiet.

But when he saw Madox’s name on the screen his annoyance dropped a little.

-Hey, have you seen what time it is,” he said quietly, settling Aidan and sitting down on the bed.

-I don’t care,” the other alpha sounded happy on the other end.

Dominic had rarely heard his friend so happy for what he imagined it was.

-I’m happy for you,” he said, smiling slightly. Madox wouldn’t be the only one happy.

-You know me. Hey, I need you to come pick me up at the airport. I have some plans and I need your help.

Dominic raised an eyebrow and listened to everything his friend had in mind. At least he had come to his senses and for the moment he had more to think about than wasting his life. He just hoped that this time he wouldn’t screw it up because because of him even his omega had been depressed.

Once she hung up she sighed and leaned against Aidan.

-We have to get up and go find Madox,” she called to him, kissing his shoulder.

Aidan wrinkled his face and shook his head.

-Let me sleep a little longer. I’m not an alpha, I don’t have that much stamina- he said with a mushy voice.

Dominic laughed.

-And if I tell you that he comes very well accompanied-” she felt him startled-“Do you want me to just go to receive him or…?

-I’m coming with you- he had already opened his eyes- It’s Julian, isn’t it? -there was excitement in his voice.

-Yes, sweetheart. It’s Julian- he caught the sensations of his omega that he felt through her ribbon and kissed her forehead- He’s coming with him and he’s also bringing other good news but let him tell you-

Aidan smiled and wrapped his arms around his alpha’s neck. Knowing that his friend was well and coming back made him finally breathe a sigh of relief. But he broke away, looking his alpha in the eye.

-I hope Madox’s a*****e doesn’t make him suffer this time,” he said.

Dominic kissed the tip of her nose.

-Don’t worry love, if he does, the one who’s going to hit him is going to be me,” he went down to his partner’s full lips and kissed them softly, a simple k**s.

She took him in her arms and let him hug her neck.

-But first I think we have to make the most of the time,” he said, inhaling his scent, “You smell so good now, love,” he smiled mischievously.

Aidan straightened up and bowed his head.

-Last time we almost killed each other in the bathroom when we slipped. I don’t think the shower’s a good place for what’s going through your mind,” he said.

Dominic analyzed.

-You’re right, the shower is not a good place, let’s do it on the sink plateau,” and led him into the bathroom leaving both their clothes behind.

Aidan waited anxiously standing next to Dominic. The plane was supposed to have arrived an hour ago but apparently something had delayed it.

-Do you think they’ll make it?” he asked his alpha who was deadly serious.

-Yes, I’m sure they will. Madox called me before leaving. And they haven’t reported any accidents, so everything should be fine.

But the wait went on forever until, in the distance, they saw two people appear in the crowd. One with blond hair and the other with untamed reddish hair now that it was shorter. Aidan couldn’t help but smile, but he didn’t run towards them. He still couldn’t believe it was real.

Madox stopped, leaving behind him the two suitcases he was carrying. Next to him the little boy raised his head only to be surrounded by two arms. The smell of omega reached his nose and he smiled.

-Hello,” he said.

-Silly, where have you been,” Aidan pressed him against him. Yes, if he was with them there- If you had told us we would have helped you- he pulled away and cradled his cheek.

Julian said nothing, just smiled, unable to justify his actions. He had taken them as he had seen fit and to the best of his ability. He could have asked for help but only he knew crazy Nolan. And he didn’t want to complicate anyone else with his problems.

-Aidan, don’t suffocate him,” Madox said in a warning voice and pointed to the omega’s belly with his gaze.

Aidan looked at him and then in the direction of his eyes. His mouth opened.

-This-

-I’m going to be a proud father to two little puppies- Madox grinned broadly showing his fangs.

It took Aidan time to process the information until Dominic put his hand on his shoulder.

-Are you pregnant?” he asked as if to reaffirm what the alpha had said.

-Three months-Julian ran his hand over his belly.

Aidan raised an eyebrow at Madox.

-That was before everything, wasn’t it?

The alpha tossed his hair back.

-A small miscalculation, a broken condom, and a perfect result. Can’t complain.

Aidan sighed and walked over to him and stood in front of him. He motioned for him to bend down and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and spoke into his ear.

-How serious are you this time? We know about your crazy life and Julian doesn’t deserve that,” she whispered.

Madox smiled.

-Relax honey, I’m going to do things right this time. I had to go through quite a scare to realize that he is the person I need in my life”.

-I’m just warning you that Dominic threatened to kick your a*s if you make him suffer.

Madox burst out laughing.

-That would have to be seen,” and he gave Aidan a mischievous peck on the cheek before straightening up and walking over to Julian.

He slipped an arm around his shoulders and kissed the crown of his head.

-Well friend as I spoke to you I need my little birdie to stay at your place today. I’m sure he’ll want to catch up with your omega and I need to prepare a few things.

Dominic nodded although he was missing the opinion of the most important person.

-You don’t have a problem with that Julian, do you?

He denied.

-Madox had already told me. I hope I’m not intruding.

-Not at all- Aidan stood beside Dominic with a smile- You’re welcome and I want to know all about… he simulated the swollen pregnancy belly- that.

Julian let out a slight snort.

-Of course.

Dominic and Madox nodded as their omegas were immersed in their stuff and they both nodded. Their priority now was their mates and they wouldn’t let anything or anyone make them suffer again. Not even themselves.

Aidan laid a quilt on the bed and then helped Julian lay it out. Then he stepped in front of him and placed a hand on his belly.

-How are you feeling,” she said, interested.

Julian was thoughtful for a few seconds.

-I mean, I’m still getting used to the idea that I have two lives inside me and that they’re Madox’s.

Aidan raised his head.

-Are you sure about this? I’m happy that everything is working out, but I wouldn’t want you to go through such suffering again-” Julian dropped onto the bed.

Julian plopped down on the bed.

-I’m still not sure about anything. I only know that my daughters have a father who can help them in many ways and who will surely love them. Madox can be… complicated but he’s not a bad person. He always treated me well and helped me when I needed it most, so I at least thought it was fair for him to know he was going to be a father-.

Aidan sat down next to her and took her hands.

-Are you in love with him?

Julian looked at him with moist eyes.

-In spite of everything I’m still a fool in love with him. Even though I know that tomorrow something could happen and the cycle could repeat itself.

-You know, there’s something I’d like to tell you about Madox and the three months you were gone.

When Aidan finished telling him Julian’s mouth hung open. So he hadn’t lied to him. In these months he had changed so much…so much and he had suffered so much…so much.

-One year,” he said quietly.

-A year? Aidan didn’t understand.

-I gave him a year. If in that time he remains faithful and does what he said, I promised him I would give myself to him.

-One year, wow, that’s good,” Aidan laughed.

-That’s enough time to see if I can join him and not regret it later and have him leave with someone else.

-Well, I think it’s a good idea, although I think he’ll deliver this time. Dominic told me.

Julian slumped back.

-I know, I can tell he’s changed, but if I give in to him so quickly, don’t you think I’m making it too easy for him,” he smiled.

Aidan blinked several times.

-Apparently Madox hasn’t been the only one who’s changed,” he said.

And they both burst out laughing.

Outside the room Dominic smiled as he listened to them having fun talking about precisely how to torture them, or rather a certain alpha. Apparently he would have to watch out for those two or else he could be in danger.
