Chapter 15

“Latina?” Sebastian called for the nth time.

No one answered. The kitchen was cold and neat, with no trace of someone using it since last night. The utensils were properly arranged on their trays, unmoved since the last time they used them.

Sebastian checked every corner in the mansion. He panicked when he couldn’t find the lady anywhere inside.

“Did she run away?” Sebastian asked no one in particular, having cold sweats. His mind went blank. He was certain that Latina was still under his spell last night. But the lady said something unlikely after she drank his b***d.

“Could it be that she remembers? She’s capable of breaking my spell, but she’s wearing the Lhaphrite stone.” Sebastian continued to ponder. He closed his eyes to concentrate. If Latina had left the mansion, she wouldn’t be able to easily get out of the thick forest. His ability to perceive one’s location wasn’t as good compared to the Lohbrev clan who were known for their wider range vision.

Sebastian opened his eyes, his vision turned to b***d, but he could see the surrounding areas outside the mansion. Tall trees and grasses, the river flowing from the falls on the east of the forest, wild animals, insects and flowers, and silhouettes in the lake.

“Found you,” Sebastian muttered before sprinting in a certain direction. It didn’t take him long to reach the lake.

The water was clear that one could see what was in there, by just looking at it, just like how Sebastian could see Latina’s naked body underwater. The vampire lord puffed a sigh of relief. He found a good place to sit so he did while watching the lady enjoying the water.

‘I didn’t know that she likes swimming. I could have brought her here myself and swim with her,’ Sebastian thought.

“So you didn’t run away?” a bitter smile appeared on Sebastian’s face. “If you did, I don’t know if I have the courage to chase you after what I’ve done.”

*Splash*

Sebastian was alarmed when he heard the loud splashing sound, something fell in the waters. His eyes changed color when he felt a familiar presence.

“Beast,” he muttered while gritting his teeth. “How dare a beast get into my territory?” Sebastian kept his calm and examined the surroundings. “Where is it?”

“Ah!”

Sebastian perked his ears when he heard Latina’s scream. He turned his gaze to where he last saw the lady. His fangs appeared and his nails grew longer concurrently when he found another man, embracing his possession.

“Hush my dear, pardon me but I can’t swim. Can you let me hold on to you until we get on the shore?” the man pleaded with his gentle and warm voice.

Latina felt bad about him but being hugged by someone else other than Sebastian was something that she couldn’t tolerate. “Please get your hands off me. This part of the lake isn’t that deep, you can walk on your own to the shore.”

The stranger’s face flushed but Latina couldn’t see it. He was thankful for that or else the lady would think that he was a creep. “Can’t you help me just this once?” He insisted once again. Wrapping his arms tightly around the lady.

Latina tried to get away but she couldn’t. They’re both wet and her hand kept on sliding when she tried to remove his arms from her.

*Booogsh*

A loud crashing noise caught their attention. Just when the stranger guy turned his gaze to check, sharp sword-like nails cut his face, causing him to bleed.

“Ah!” Latina g*****d in pain. She had a clear view of Sebastian’s furious face before getting shoved on the shore forcefully. Her limbs and back were in so much pain that she could barely move on the spot. She held her face and saw how the men clashed. Suddenly, she felt drowsy and lay on the ground. The last thing she saw was a familiar pair of blue spheres, getting closer to her before she felt a warm cloth wrapping around her.

“How bold of your kind to appear in my territory, you filthy beast!” Sebastian exclaimed while standing on the water. With a devilish face, he thrust his hand in the man’s chest, lifting him. “I’ll shred your heart into pieces so you won’t be able to recover,” he said in his cold voice, thrusting his hand deeper.

“Is that all you can do? I’d laugh my a*s out if you say that you’re the vampire lord. Such a weakling.”

Sebastian grew furious than ever, a lowly beast had the guts to insult him, the vampire lord, and a true-b***d. He threw the man in the air before jumping up and clawed his enemy’s face until it bled. With a disfigured face, the man fell on the water. Sebastian was not satisfied, so he tried to follow the guy but was swept away by the strong wind.

“Darn it!” Sebastian cursed. He landed on his feet, a few meters away from the shore where Latina was. “Latina,” he called, worried about the lady’s condition. He headed towards her but Seth appeared before him.

“You’re worried after you threw her hard on the rocky area. Hah! I only need a few more years and I could definitely be a better match for her,” Seth said. “I just have to fight for her until then, am I right?”

“Don’t make me laugh and when did a sprout like you appear?” Sebastian glared at the young knight, not taking his words seriously at all.

“I may be a sprout in your eyes but I could knock that werewolf guy in one hit. I wonder if you could do the same,” Seth teased. He tilted his head when he felt a malicious force coming towards them. “Go get Latina away from here. That guy earlier isn’t just a phony from the beast tribe, he’s a werewolf alpha.”

Sebastian clicked his tongue, “The more reason I have to stay and fight that bastard.”

‘What a childish lord,’ Seth thought and glided in the air. He headed back to the lake where the alpha was about to emerge. “I can handle him. If you don’t want someone to steal what you’ve stolen then I suggest you leave while I’m still nice.”

The vampire lord clenched his jaw. He wanted to fight the alpha, but he didn’t want to leave Latina in Seth’s hand. With his super speed, he took the unconscious Latina and left the area, and headed back to his mansion.

When he kicked the door, Sebastian was surprised to find Claudia waiting. What’s more, she was determined to get laid by him.
