It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 12
“Little wildcat…” Malcolm’s tone was helpless when he finally caught up with Lucia in the parking lot.
Without even turning around, Lucia took off her earrings and necklace. She then turned around and walked towards him slowly, looking at him.
Frowning, Malcolm glanced at him.
“Mr Evans, here are the jewels you sent me and I will return them to you. And I’m going to have the dress and shoes cleaned before I return them to you tomorrow,” Lucia said, handing him the jewelry.
“Wildcat, I’m not going to take back what I gave you,” Malcolm said in a cold voice.
“By the way, my name is Lucia Su. Wildcat is not my name. Maybe you can call your pet that, if you have one. But I’m definitely not your wild cat. » Lucia was furious.
“Wild p***y…” It reminded her of their wild night at X Town and the time she had spent in his apartment the week before. “I’m such an idiot for letting myself be fooled!” How could I tell him about my past without even knowing who he was? ”, she thought.
“You…” If Malcolm was angry, he hid it well, but then, there was a sudden coldness in his eyes. However, the next moment, he was back to himself, as if he had never been angry with her.
“Hey, come back inside with me!” Aren’t you afraid that DZ Media will be embarrassed if you’re not there? I don’t think you can afford to offend any of the guests at tonight’s party. » Although Malcolm’s tone was gentle, there was a hint of menace in his eyes.
He might love her a lot, but he would never let her control him. He could be the perfect lover in bed, but once he got out of bed, he would be absolutely heartless. Lucia has already tested her patience many times now. He didn’t know what he would do if she persisted in being so stubborn.
“Apparently you only know how to threaten people, huh?” “, Lucia said with a grunt.
She obviously understood what Malcolm meant by that. After all, many people from the media industry were present at the party. The scene that just unfolded would certainly make headlines the next day. What’s more, the man who had never shown his face in public before had openly admitted to hiding his true identity. And journalists were definitely adept at making up stories. She didn’t have to think long to imagine the kinds of things they might write about her in the newspapers.
“The mysterious CEO of the Evans Group appeared and fell in love with a planner from DZ Media. »
Lucia knew that such things would appear on the front pages of the newspapers the next day. DZ Media had won the planning project based entirely on its own strengths, and now people were going to start doubting it because of Malcolm and Lucia’s relationship. She would certainly become the focus of these journalists and paparazzi, and her peace would be ruined for a while. What she hated most was having her peaceful life turned upside down.
If she went back to the party with him, Malcolm would use his influence and power to keep her from making the headlines. Lucia clenched her fists, feeling hesitant for a moment.
“Threats are sometimes very effective, so why not use it? » Malcolm understood that she had changed her mind.
He took the necklace and put it on her. He wanted to take Lucia in his arms, but she struggled to get away from him and walked past. Frowning, Malcolm decided to follow her inside. As they were about to enter the banquet hall, he pulled her into his arms, taking her by surprise. Again she tried to struggle, but she couldn’t get away from him.
“Don’t even think about walking away, or you’ll pay for it,” Malcolm whispered in her ear.
“You…” Gritting her teeth, Lucia gave up struggling. She sensed a sudden change in his mood.
He seriously warned her.
Very quickly, they returned to the party. The others turned to look at them. People were still having fun and moving around, socializing, as if nothing had happened just now.
Installed in a corner, Lucia continued to eat while Malcolm sat next to her without moving for a single second. People wanted to talk to Malcolm, but upon noticing his cold gaze, they backed away.
Seeing Malcolm return, Moore broke out in a cold sweat. He was worried that something bad would happen again. He signaled the bodyguards to stand near Malcolm and Lucia, to prevent anyone from disturbing them.
“Malcolm!” Such a moron! Can’t you take your own food? », hissed Lucia.
She looked at him in shock as he ate the cake from her fork. “How could he do such a thing in public? It’s not like we’re lovers. Malcolm looked at her with a raised eyebrow and kissed her. He then passionately licked the cream from the corner of his lips.
“You…” Furious, Lucia didn’t know what to say to him.
Malcolm then took advantage of the situation by putting his tongue in her mouth, thus conquering her lips. With one of his hands, he gently caressed her bare back. Lucia was so tempted by his touch that she was almost ready to let go, but the next second she forced herself back to reality and bit his tongue. Tasting b***d in his mouth, Malcolm let it go. There was a hint of anger in his eyes that only lasted for a moment.
“You really are a wild cat!” Could I have the privilege of dancing with you? Malcolm asked in a low, seductive voice, smiling at her.
Lucia was stunned by his reaction. She thought a man like him would be furious at her provocation, but that was not the case. The others pretended not to have seen their k**s.
Malcolm didn’t even give her a chance to resist him as he picked her up and headed to the dance floor. Lucia wanted to struggle, but when she met his cold gaze, she gave up. As soon as they entered the dance floor, they became the center of everyone’s attention.
“What are you trying to do?” », asked Lucia through gritted teeth.
“Didn’t I tell you the other day that I would marry you?” Malcolm asked bluntly.
” You are crazy? I’m nothing more than a toy that you can’t have, that makes you feel alive. » She had the feeling that the man in front of her was crazy. “How could he take my joke so seriously?” »
“I’m serious, wildcat. » There was an undeniable certainty in Malcolm’s eyes, but his eyes could almost hide any feeling, so she couldn’t be sure.
” Very well then. Bring your papers tomorrow. I’ll meet you at the Civil Affairs Bureau. » Lucia was so furious that she spoke without thinking. She thought she must be an idiot to believe that he would agree to marriage so casually.
“Wildcat, you must remember your words. » A glimmer of light crossed Malcolm’s eyes.
Lucia didn’t say anything more, because she knew that her angry words would only put her at a disadvantage in the end. She was the one who would suffer later.
For now, his best option was to keep quiet.
