It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 145
After a good night’s sleep, Lucia woke up early in the morning unexpectedly. Perhaps it was because she no longer had a heavy burden on her mind that Lucia was in a better mood these days. When she left her room and headed to the living room, Lucia met Lowell, who had just returned from morning exercise. She could tell by his slightly wet hair that he had just taken a shower.
“So early today? » Lowell looked at Lucia with surprise and confusion. Lucia rarely got up early.
Since this incident, she suffered from insomnia almost every night. Basically, she didn’t fall asleep until two or three in the morning. When other people began to wake up, it was time for Lucia to enter a deep sleep. When she woke up, it was already morning. But the faint black circles under her eyes could easily tell others that despite this, she had slept in an extremely uncomfortable state.
“Good morning.” Lucia smiled weakly.
“Lucia, why are you so early?” Kathryn, who came out of the kitchen, was visibly surprised too.
Lucia still smiled faintly. Lowell glanced slightly at Kathryn and Kathryn shook her head. Neither of them knew why Lucia looked so strange today. The atmosphere between the three people seemed a bit strange. Kathryn quickly returned to the kitchen and made more breakfasts, while Lucia sat casually on the couch. She wasn’t at all affected by the atmosphere between Lowell and Kathryn.
“I’m going back to Spain next week. I’ll be back after about ten days. If you need it during that time, just tell the butler. Kathryn is about to attend class and may not come not be here so often. If you want to work again or do something else, I won’t object. Lucia, as long as you are happy, it’s okay,” Lowell looked at Lucia for a while and said lightly.
He explained his schedule unconsciously and did not organize any activities or time for Lucia. She was given absolute freedom. Lowell’s train of thought was very simple. He just wanted Lucia to be happy, not like a caged bird. A caged bird wasn’t like the Lucy that had caught his eye in the first place.
Lucia listened quietly. After hearing what Lowell said, she stood up. Lowell looked at Lucia. Lucia walked towards him step by step. Somehow he felt his heart beat faster. Finally, Lucia stood before him. The two looked at each other for a long time. Suddenly, Lucia stretched out her hands and wrapped them around his waist.
Lucia’s sudden action surprised Lowell. He wasn’t used to what she was doing right now. In a daze, he let Lucia hug him for a while. Then he timidly stretched out his hands, but stopped them in the air. It seemed that he had mustered all his courage to hold Lucia in his arms.
When Kathryn came out of the kitchen with breakfast in her hands, she saw this scene. She quietly returned to the kitchen. She did not disturb the two people who were kissing. She silently left the living room to the two. After a long time, Lucia finally let go. When she snuggled against him, Lucia felt her heart beating hard. Each time, it was he who gradually brought her out of her unconditional gloom. He could always show up whenever she needed him.
Maybe it was just a light hug, or just a few words, or an unexpected surprise, but it contained all his affection. He had approached her with a purpose in the first place. But now the only thing left was his truest heart.
“Take me to Spain, okay?” » Lucie finally said.
“Lucie, what did you say? » There was a moment of hesitation in Lowell’s tone. He looked for a positive response in Lucia’s eyes.
“Take me to Spain. Let everything start again from scratch,” Lucia said seriously.
“Really?” Lowell couldn’t believe it.
He had thought it would be very difficult to persuade Lucia to leave Strinas to him. Strinas was his deep rooted place with too many memories. And Malcolm was there too. But now, when Lowell heard what Lucia said, there was only disbelief in his eyes.
“Yes. But I hope Kathryn will go with me too. Now that I know she’s my family, I have no reason to leave her here alone.” Lucia made her request.
“I’ll agree to anything you ask. But, have you asked Catherine for her opinion?” Lowell didn’t refuse. He just let Kathryn make the choice. Catherine came out of the kitchen. They did
n’t ‘deliberately avoided anyone while they were talking in the living room. As a result, Catherine, who was in the kitchen, heard them clearly. Lucia and Lowell’s eyes fell on Kathryn. Kathryn nodded slightly and agreed with Lucia’s suggestion . To her, it didn’t matter where she was. As long as she could see Lowell at all times, she was satisfied. Perhaps one day, when a more suitable man appeared, she would slowly forget Lowell and find her own happiness .
But she couldn’t do that right now. So she would follow her heart like she told Lucia. Where her heart wanted to go was her ultimate destination. “Okay
. I will solve the visa problem. You don’t need to bring anything with you. You could buy anything when we arrived in Spain. If you have other problems, you can tell me at any time. I will find a school for Catherine in Spain. Can you accept such arrangements? » Lowell made a quick decision and asked Lucia’s opinion.
“Emm. » Lucia nodded as she had no objection to Lowell’s arrangement.
Now that she had made her decision, she would courageously move forward. Whether as Lucia, or a new identity in the future, she hoped she would get a fresh start in Spain.
Three days later, the driver sent them to the airport. On the way, when they passed the road full of sycamore trees, they happened to see that Kenneth’s café was open. Lucia glanced at Lowell. Lowell quickly asked the driver to pull over to the side of the road. She got out of the car alone and entered the cafe. When Kenneth saw Lucia, he quickly left the bar counter. When he was about to ask Lucia, Lucia spoke first.
“Kenneth…I will miss you”, Lucia looked at Kenneth, hugged him and said indifferently.
Lucia’s embrace made Kenneth a little confused. When he heard Lucia’s words, he looked at her. Suddenly he looked at the road in front of the cafe. There was a black parking lot nearby, which must have been waiting for Lucia. Did Lucia mean she was leaving? He looked at Lucia in confusion, trying to find the answer.
“Yes. I’m going to leave here,” Lucia replied affirmatively.
“It’s okay. You have so many bad memories here. Once you leave, you can get rid of all that and start again. I’m going to miss you too.” Kenneth hugged Lucia.
Then, he let go of Lucia and motioned for Lucia to come out quickly. He didn’t want the people waiting for Lucia outside to lose their patience. Lucia smiled faintly, opened the cafe door and returned to the car. Kenneth only returned to the cafe when the car disappeared. “The man taking Lucia should be Lowell, right?” ” he says to him.
“Lucia, I hope you could be really happy this time. »
“Thank you.” Back in the car, Lucia thanked Lowell indifferently.
“Stupid girl,” Lowell said, touching Lucia’s soft hair, with satisfaction in his eyes.
The car was traveling at a constant speed on the road. Lucia stared out the window in silence, as if trying to remember every sight of Strinas. The roads, the trees, the houses and some beautiful memories came back to his mind. These nightmares were gradually replaced by these memories and buried deep in his heart.
The car arrived at the VIP entrance of the airport. The driver got out of the car and opened the doors for them. Then he took their luggage out of the trunk. The staff waiting at the airport quickly took care of the luggage and turned around to take care of all boarding matters. Lucia got out of the car and followed Lowell into the VIP lounge.
When the automatic door behind her was closed, Lucia turned around unconsciously. What did she expect? The number that would never appear? Lucia silently laughed at herself. She quickly looked away and saw Lowell’s worried look. She shook her head to show that she was okay. Then Lowell took Lucia to rest on a chair.
A mechanical reminder to board came from the airport broadcast. Lowell stood up from the chair and held out his hand to Lucia. Lucia took his hand and walked towards the boarding gate step by step. She walked through the long passage and sat in a first class seat. There were only three of them and two bodyguards with Lowell in the entire space, which seemed unusually empty.
After the flight attendant’s routine inspection, the pleasant but impersonal voice of the purser came from the broadcast.
“Dear passengers, your flight 6548 is about to take off. Please check carefully whether the seat belt is fastened. This flight would be from Strinas to Madrid without stopover. I wish you a pleasant journey. Currently the temperature in Strinas is …”
After that, the flight attendant carefully checked whether the luggage was placed safely and whether the communication device was turned off. Shortly after, the plane slid out of the parking space and headed toward the runway. Lucia looked at the parasol rising and her eyes fell on the crowded departure lounge.
After the plane skidded on the runway, it accelerated and went straight up with instructions from the conning tower. Lucia looked at the crowd and saw a running figure. Was it a person desperately trying to catch the plane? Lucia smiled slightly and looked away.
“If you’re tired, take a nap. I’ll call you at dinner, okay?” Lowell said softly.
He didn’t stop what he was doing. Once the plane was flying steadily through the air, he lowered Lucia’s seat so that “she could lie there and rest comfortably. It took at least a dozen hours from Strinas to Spain. A good rest would not make the journey too tiring.
Lucia smiled at Lowell gratefully. She took the soft blanket from Lowell and lay quietly on the seat. When she closed her eyes, everyone and what had happened in Strinas came back to Lucia’s mind. When her mind was completely blank, Lucia fell asleep finally.
“Goodbye, Strinas. I don’t know when I will see you again, or maybe I will never see you again.”
