It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 165
Standing not far from the warehouse, Malcolm looked coldly at everything in front of him and said nothing. After a long moment, he turned to look at Byron, who was waiting aside.
“Sir. Malcolm, everything is ready,” Byron said respectfully.
“Kill all his men. As for Lucia, I must guarantee that she will not be harmed, even a little,” Malcolm ordered coldly.
“Yes,” Byron agreed.
Byron also looked at the warehouse not far away. Everything happened in a changing situation. No one could predict what would happen next. He was a little worried about the Lucia bombshell. If they miscalculated Lowell, then… Byron’s heart sank. He hoped things wouldn’t go to the worst end he expected.
He looked at Malcolm. Malcolm chose to take a risk. It was hard to tell whether it was him or Lucia watching. Did he want to prove that Lowell didn’t care that much about Lucia either? As long as… As long as that didn’t happen, everything would still be under control.
But… Would things really go so well?
“Sir. Malcolm, he’s here,” a man in black received notice from his peers not far from him via headset and dutifully said to Malcolm.
After receiving the news, Malcolm took one last look at the warehouse. He turned around and left without hesitation. Her slender shadow was drawn long in the sun. When he saw Enoch, he just glanced slightly and returned to the screen in the monitoring room.
Enoch glanced at Byron. Byron shook his head. Malcolm had ordered that no one be allowed near the warehouse. So no one knew what he said to Lucia. With a sigh, Enoch turned and entered the monitoring room as well.
The monitoring room was located in a very isolated location. There were many folk houses scattered around. The surveillance room hidden in these houses looked like an ordinary house from the outside. And the warehouse wasn’t far behind the mountain. If there really was a shooting, it wouldn’t hurt innocent people. It would take a while for the police to come even if their attention was drawn. Time was enough to calm everything down.
In the villa in South Africa, the clock on the wall was ticking. It’s been a while since Lowell’s car left. It would take at least half an hour to get to the warehouse where Lucia was kidnapped from here. And they didn’t have much time left.
“Tandy, what should we do now?” There was a trace of anxiety in Scott’s seemingly calm tone.
“Inform everyone through the system to protect Ms. Lucia, just like being loyal to the commander. Have everyone swear by their lives.” Tandy tried to calm down and dealt with things one by one.
“I’ll do it right away,” Hudson said, quickly following Tandy’s instructions.
When the order was transmitted to each mercenary through the system, no one could shake Lucia’s position. This was what Lowell wanted. Looking at the command code received on her phone, Tandy knew that Lowell’s opinion could not be changed. After Hudson typed the last word, Tandy quickly entered Lowell’s security code. The command spread to the mercenary system platform at the fastest speed. After dealing with it, Hudson turned his attention back to the scene,
“Gather all our people in South Africa to ensure the safety of the commander. If something bad happens, we have to take Ms. Lucie outside.” Tandy quickly gave the second order.
Hudson used the mercenaries’ special communication password to find the mercenaries in South Africa. It doesn’t matter if they are on assignment in South Africa or stationed in the region, no one questioned the order when they received it and they waited for the order unconditionally.
“What about us? Wait here?” Scott looked at Tandy in confusion.
“No, Scott. You take your men with you and we split into two groups. At least we need to remove the obstacles behind Commander. Ask all of our employees here who have high-level duties to gather nearby. Set channels to the same to receive commands at any time. Today is not an individual action. This is a group action, so if anyone violated an order and made a decision without asking permission, they would be killed mercilessly. I will not allow anyone to risk the life of the commander, ”Tandy said carefully word for word.
He was afraid that something unexpected would happen. No matter how powerful and prestigious a leader was, they would have subordinates who would occasionally betray them. If anyone took advantage of this opportunity, the consequences would be beyond their expectations. Although the possibility was almost nil, Tandy had to be careful and gave the harshest order.
The mercenaries would only follow the orders of their commander. After Tandy sent these messages with Lowell’s security code, he didn’t need to explain too much to get their absolute support.
“Hudson, stay where you are, send the latest developments to our cell phones at any time, and ensure all rear communications. Some people are arranged in the villa in rear support.” Tandy gave the final order.
He took the map Hudson had printed and looked through it quickly. With experience and intuition, he placed their people in every possible location. Although the loyal daredevils trained by the Evans family could not be underestimated, they were still slightly inferior to the mercenaries. Moreover, they were mercenaries who only performed high-level tasks, so their strength was naturally not weak.
After the allocation was completed, the residents of the villa were ready to leave, and some people who did not come to the villa had been arranged by the system to wait in certain places. This was the first time they had gathered together since the appearance of the second spiritual leader. However, such a mission was more difficult than any of their previous missions.
They could not interfere with the action of their commander and absolutely had to obey all orders. They didn’t even have any idea what they were going to do. But even so, they were willing to do it.
The discussion in the villa was heated. Tandy looked at the clock on the wall. He turned around and was about to walk towards the door. The unusual sound behind him made him narrow his eyes and look suspiciously. When he saw who it was, he just took a slight glance and left the villa without looking back. At that time, it was not appropriate for an accident or problem to occur.
“Tandy…I want to go with you.” Kathryn stopped him in time and said what she wanted to do.
Tandy glanced at him indifferently and didn’t answer him. He only took Kathryn as an ignorant girl. Everyone knew she loved Lowell, even though Lucia was her cousin. So it was reasonable for Kathryn to make such a request, but at that time Tandy did not allow any chaos to appear.
Ignoring Kathryn, Tandy and the others left the villa. They headed towards the warehouse. The car stopped far from the warehouse. Tandy received a message from Hudson. The other mercenaries were in place, waiting for orders at any time. As soon as Tandy got off the car, Tandy felt the solemnity and coldness, and the dangerous atmosphere instantly spread through the air.
A few steps away, Tandy indistinctly felt danger approaching behind him. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, turned around, and easily overpowered the person who had approached him from behind. Before the person had time to resist, a bright red mark appeared on his neck. He fell quickly without even seeing the dagger.
Holding a dagger in his hand, Tandy was on alert and looked around. There were all sorts of crises lurking in the too-calm environment. He did not have time to think about it carefully, nor did he have time to confirm each other’s positions with his colleagues. The bullets coming towards him almost made Tandy unable to dodge. A bullet grazed Tandy’s cheeks and a trail of b***d appeared. He narrowed his eyes and carefully hid behind the building. He pulled the gun out of his leg and loaded it. Through the reflection of light and shadow, it turned in a certain direction. After a while, a green military figure fell.
Always on alert, Tandy carefully observed the surrounding environment. In a strange place, they were more vigilant than the others. Because they knew that if they were careless, they would lose their lives. Suddenly he noticed the marks left nearby. It seemed his men had been here, which meant the crisis was temporarily resolved.
“Tandy?” Are you okay?” Scott’s voice came from the communication device.
Tandy took the communication device and confirmed his location. He reported it to Scott. Soon, his phone accurately received information from different positions. He scanned through it quickly and entered a few codes before continuing forward. These codes represented different tasks. Tandy noticed the slight shaking of a nearby tree, which quickly returned to calm.
After for a moment, Tandy frowned. The trees in different positions were shaking heavily. He knew there was a fight. Before Tandy could think about it, loyal daredevils appeared around him. He backed away slightly, kicked a stone with his foot casually and hit the opponent’s wrist, causing his hand to tremble. Then Tandy quickly shot the opponent in the heart, and the opponent fell down. Soon, Tandy found
something that was wrong. These people were not like loyal daredevils of the Evans family. Training the Evans family would not be easier than the mercenary training system. In a way, it was crueler. Because loyal daredevils could not have their own conscience. The Evans family was everything in their world.
And the people in front of him one after the other were obviously much weaker. It was too easy for the mercenaries to win. These people seemed to only appear randomly to save time. When this thought crossed Lowell’s mind, his initial doubt was resolved. Malcolm must have set a trap and waited for Lowell to jump into it. And Malcolm was sure they would follow Lowell here. And the reason Malcolm did that was because he wanted to pin them down. In addition to saving time, he also wanted to consume their energy.
When he noticed the speed at which these people were arriving, a trace of unease flashed in Tandy’s eyes. He quickly picked up the communication device, confirmed the channel, and directly issued an order.
“Everyone, quickly get rid of the obstacles. Our goal is to gather within fifty yards of the warehouse.”
Then he quickly put away the communication device. He decided not to waste any more time here. There were only ten minutes left before the time given by Malcolm expired. It would take at least twenty or thirty minutes to get to the warehouse at the current speed. They didn’t have much time to stall here.
Unconsciously, Tandy accelerated her movement. He quickly defeated the oncoming enemies and headed towards the established objective.
Shortly afterward, he found Lowell’s car. Tandy looked at the warehouse not far away, which still seemed quiet. He wanted to contact Lowell, but found that his signal had completely disappeared. There was a trace of anxiety in Tandy’s eyes. Soon, the other mercenaries also appeared. Everyone looked at each other, not knowing whether to move forward or wait in place. Finally, everyone’s eyes fell on Tandy.
“Wait for orders on site.” Tandy gave the order after much thought.
Under his command, the surrounding mercenaries quickly found hidden places and disappeared from the sun. Suddenly, Tandy turned around. A familiar smell occupied his nose. He put down his hand that was raising the gun. He frowned slightly and looked at the person, with confusion and disagreement on his face.
The more he wanted to stop something, the more likely it was to happen. No matter how vigilant people were, they were sometimes distracted. But sometimes he doesn’t know if it was right or wrong to stop something.
