It's Love That Blinds Him
It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 215

In the Evans group, Malcolm looked a little agitated in his office. He was going back and forth. He looked at Lucia’s number on his phone. He had dialed countless times, but no one answered. Concern appeared in Malcolm’s eyes. What had happened that day in the suite kept coming back to his mind. He knew that his unintentional behavior had hurt Lucia’s fragile heart.

Finally, he stood next to the telephone in the office. Looking at it for a long time, he dialed the number of Lucia’s office. Then the standard, polite voice of a secretary rang out.

“Hello, this is the office of the CEO of Dresse Group.”

“Excuse me, is Ms. Lucie here?” Malcolm asked lightly.

“Sorry, she’s not here. Could you please tell me who you are? You can leave your phone number so I can pass the information on to Ms. Lucia”, Johnny asked as a routine . The slightly familiar voice always made him frown.

“No thanks.” After saying this coldly, Malcolm hung up the phone.

Looking at the phone, Johnny shrugged and continued to deal with the work he could never finish. On the other hand, Malcolm’s disordered thoughts kept bothering him until the office door was pushed open. Looking at Enoch, who walked in, Malcolm took the car key and left the office without looking back, leaving Enoch stunned.

“How horrible am I?” Why did my brother rush away as soon as he saw me? This is unreasonable. We are from the same family. We can’t be too different”, Enoch walked out of the office confused and muttered to himself.

But there was only silence in the room and the continuous sound of Bob’s typing in response. Enoch rubbed his nose, left the CEO’s office on the top floor and returned to the eighteenth floor.

On the way, Malcolm focused on driving. After he couldn’t find Lucia through his or his office phone, the only thing that he could think of was the villa that Lucia lived in. It was Lucia’s favorite place. As he got closer and closer to the villa, his heart rose to his throat. He couldn’t describe his current feelings with more words, but this kind of uncontrollable desire did not need more words to express itself.

The car stopped in front of the gate of the villa. When Malcolm got out of the car, he looked at the villa. The curtains of the bedroom on the second floor were still closed. With a slight lowering of his eyes, Malcolm sighed silently.

“Who are you looking for?” Lowe asked, even though he knew the answer, looking at Malcolm.

Malcolm looked at the little boy in front of him. He knew he was Lucia’s son and Kathy’s twin brother. But the two had completely different personalities. Malcolm crouched down and looked at him from the other side of the fence. Without the slightest fear, Lowe looked into Malcolm’s eyes. There was a trace of provocation in the boy’s eyes. He lifted his chin slightly and looked at the man in front of him who must have been his father.

“I’m looking for your mom. Is she here?” Malcolm said in a soft voice.

He ignored the misfortune and provocation in Lowe’s eyes and took care of him patiently. It seemed Lowe didn’t mind Malcolm’s gentle attitude. Her small body maintained the original posture and did not move. He looked at Malcolm, with a trace of questioning and a slightly inadvertently complicated expression.

“She’s not here,” Lowe said coldly.

“I know she’s here. She doesn’t want to see me, does she?” Malcolm said softly again.

He looked at the closed curtain on the second floor. The curtain had been opened slightly with a small gap, and a slender but familiar figure appeared near the window. It seemed she had sensed Malcolm’s sight. She dodged and retreated behind the curtain, leaving Malcolm only the shadow that passed softly in the sunlight.

“Since you know, why are you still here? Lowe asked lightly, raising his eyes slightly to look at the bedroom on the second floor.

“I did something wrong to upset your mother, so I want to apologize to her,” Malcolm explained patiently.

Looking at Malcolm, Lowe was trying to tell if his words were true or not. Without dodging Lowe’s inquisitive eyes, Malcolm smiled and gently looked at the child in front of him who had Lucia’s b***d. Whoever their father was, it didn’t matter to Malcolm at the moment. What he wanted was only Lucia. He could accept everything from Lucia and treat her children like his own.

“Mom is stubborn sometimes. When she doesn’t want to see anyone, she won’t see anyone.” After much observation, Lowe finally softened his tone. There was a hint of Malcolm’s compromise in his childish voice.

When he looked at Lowe’s obviously relaxed demeanor and reduced hostility, the smile at the corners of Malcolm’s mouth became brighter. He gently reached out and touched the boy’s head. Lowe just frowned and did not dodge such an intimate action from Malcolm. To some extent, this signified Lowe’s recognition and acceptance of Malcolm.

Suddenly, Malcolm turned around and walked towards the car parked nearby. Lowe looked at Malcolm’s back in confusion. Before he could think further, Malcolm returned with a box in his hand. Lowe raised his eyebrows and looked curiously at the box in Malcolm’s hand.

“Can you help me give this to your mother?” Malcolm crouched down and handed the box to Lowe, pleading with him.

After hesitating for a moment, Lowe took the box from Malcolm. Restraining his curiosity, he nodded at Malcolm. Finally, he took one look at Malcolm and walked into the house without looking back. Seeing the small figure disappear from view, Malcolm’s eyes returned to the second story window. After looking at the shadow next to the window for a long time, he turned and walked out of the house. He returned to his car, started the engine and left the villa community, returning to the Evans Group.

“Lowell… What’s in the beautiful box?” Out of curiosity, Kathy turned to look at Lowe.

Lowe showed an expression as if saying: “You are a fool.” Then he went upstairs without looking back, leaving Kathy to stamp her foot in anger. Not wanting to give up, she wanted to catch up with Lowe, but she was drawn to the scent of the cake Leila was baking in the kitchen. She abandoned her original idea and went to the kitchen.

With the box in hand, Lowe knocked gently on Lucia’s bedroom door. After a while, Lucia opened the door and looked at Lowe. His eyes fell on the box in his hand. Soon she stepped aside to let him enter. Lowe entered Lucia’s room and placed the box on the side table. He looked at Lucia without blinking, and mother and son looked at each other in silence.

“Mom Dad… He gave it to you.” Lowe changed his original way of addressing Malcolm.

Lucia raised her eyebrows in surprise. She clearly heard what he said. When did Lowe change his mind about Malcolm? Was it because of her growing affection for him, or because of the indelible b***d bond? Lucia seemed curious. As if a little embarrassed, Lowe avoided Lucia’s gaze and looked away.

“Thanks Lowe.” Lucia didn’t pick up the box but thanked Lowe lightly.

“Mom, I’m going out.” After politely saying this to Lucia, Lowe turned around and was about to leave.

Lucia nodded slightly, then Lowe walked towards the door. As the door opened, he suddenly turned towards Lucia. Lucia looked at him in confusion, waiting for him to speak.

“Really… he… If he can be… Dad, it’s not bad.” Looking a little embarrassed and awkward, Lowe spoke his thoughts intermittently.

Soon, when he finished the last word, he quickly disappeared behind the door. In fact, Lowe loved Malcolm. But he had never interacted with his father, so he resisted unconsciously. However, due to innate kinship, as well as his worship and need for his father, gradually the originally resistance gradually turned into approval. Plus, Lucia and Malcolm appeared together too often, which gave Lowe some extravagant hope.

Maybe one day he and Kathy would not only have their mother, but would have a real family.

Lucia heard every word Lowe just said. She walked towards the window. Through the crack in the curtain, Lucia saw Malcolm’s car outside the villa. He didn’t go very far, but stopped at the entrance to the villa community. From the villa, she could see this scene. After observing for a long time, Lucia did not withdraw her sight, and only returned to bed when the car really drove away from the villa community.

She looked at the plain box. Lucie hesitated for a moment. She didn’t know what was in the box. The fear in his heart could not overcome the curiosity to explore. Finally, Lucia opened the box. Looking at the white crystal cat lying quietly in the box, his eyes were blank for a while. Soon, she quickly turned the cat over and looked at its base, only to find that the number on it was exactly the same as the number on the black crystal cat base on her bedside table.

They were a pair. How did Malcolm make this possible? Lucie was confused. A strange feeling crossed his mind. Lucia carefully recalled the day in Rome. An unconscious expression appeared on his face. It turned out that the feeling of being followed closely by a pair of eyes was not her illusion, but what really happened. The burning eyes seemed to burn Lucia. She had a deep memory of it. As a result, even after so many years, the memory was still vivid in his mind.

So it was Malcolm. Lucia took the white cat out of the box and put it with the black cat. The graceful silhouettes of the cats clung to each other and the part left in the middle formed a complete heart. Faint satisfaction and a sense of completion filled Lucia’s heart, as if her broken heart was slowly putting itself back together.

She looked at the crystal cats for a long time. Under the reflection of the light, an unusual light in the box attracted Lucia’s attention. She returned her attention to the seemingly ordinary box. Under the raffia under the crystal cat, there was a handwritten note and an entry guard card.

She took out the note and Malcolm’s vigorous, familiar handwriting appeared before Lucia’s eyes. The brief words on the note easily touched Lucia’s heart. The memory hidden deep in her heart instantly overwhelmed Lucia.

“Wildcat, I will never give you the opportunity to leave me again. I will not imprison you, but choose to let you run as you want. And I will be your last refuge.”

Tears ran down her cheeks and soaked the note. The writing began to blur. She subconsciously picked up the familiar entrance guard card. The past was clear, but the future was uncertain. She felt so tired.
