It's Love That Blinds Him
It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 46

“Are you crazy? You’ve already accepted it. Why are you digging in now?” Lucia rushed and screamed. She was the first to react.

“Damn! I didn’t know about it. And I don’t agree.” Malcolm was about to lose his temper.

His eyes examined Lucia’s delicate face, her beautiful neck, her plump breasts, her slender waist and her long legs. Anger rose within him as he imagined the lustful eyes of the men who would see her after the commercial aired. Suddenly, he cast a cold glance at the male model who was standing aside, causing the latter to shift uncomfortably.

Malcolm would never allow anyone to covet what was theirs.

“So? We’ve already started the project. It can’t be stopped now,” Lucia pointed out with annoyance.

“Yes? I’m going to make him stop. Everyone, cancel the shoot and find another model for this,” Malcolm said coldly, turning to the crew. No one dared to

move. Malcolm was the CEO of Evans Group, and he was the one financing the filming in the first place, so they didn’t dare to argue with him. But if the filming was canceled now, everything would be postponed indefinitely. Everyone present seemed to be in two minds. They looked hesitant and even a little pained.

The only one with a different expression in his mind was Jay. His eyes lit up seeing the two people arguing in front of him. He could barely control his excitement. “Jay, what’s going

on ?Why do you look so happy?” Hayes asked with a frown.

“You’re so slow-witted. Look at them. Aren’t they perfect for the ad? There’s so much tension and chemistry between them! Look at the passionate anger in their eyes. There’s nothing no two people more capable than them to interpret the essence of this perfume.” The more Jay looked at them, the more delighted he became.

“Oh my God. Malcolm is the CEO. How can you even think about casting him in the ad? He doesn’t even want Lucia on screen, let alone himself. Wake up, Jay. We need to deal with this problem in a practical way. Otherwise, I don’t know if we’ll ever finish this shoot,” Hayes said morosely.

But Jay just ignored her words and walked towards the two arguing people. Of course he cared about making a lot of money. However, if he came across an appealing script with the perfect leads, he would much rather take it back and create an influential work of art. As an artist, although he sought profit, his enthusiasm for art and his own growth will never change. Without it, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

“Mr. Evans, Ms. Garcia, let me interrupt you,” Jay said loudly, appearing in front of the two people who were becoming more and more furious.

Malcolm and Lucia both stopped and looked at Jay at the same time. Jay secretly winked at Lucia before turning to Malcolm as if nothing had happened. Lucia raised her eyebrows and nodded slightly. She understood that Jay had a plan, so she decided to cooperate with him. As Malcolm was bold enough to get involved, she was ready to give him all her support.

“I have something to say. The unspoken understanding, cooperation and pure chemistry between you two is far better than I ever sought to find. So, I have a request. Mr. Evans, could -you be the main actor this time? First of all, I think the announcement will be better if you act on it. And secondly, it’s also a kind of advertisement. If a CEO like you acts in the ‘announcement, it will generate a huge buzz around the product,” Jay said calmly.

“What makes you think I care so much about promoting this perfume?” Hmm?” Malcolm made a face.

Suddenly there was dead silence. Jay may have gone fearlessly towards Malcolm, but he had forgotten that the person he was facing wasn’t just another man, but that he was Malcolm, the head of the Evans family. A man like Malcolm would never change his mind just because of a director’s words.

“Wait here. Get everything ready,” Lucia told the crew. Then she turned to Malcolm and took his hand. “And you, let’s go!”

Malcolm found himself dragged into the set dressing room. Once inside, Lucia slammed the door and glared at him.

“I don’t care who you are or how powerful you are. What I care about is finishing my job. But today you showed up halfway and ruined everything. Why are you doing that? Do you know how ridiculous that is? If you don’t let me appear on screen just because we sleep together, then I’m breaking up with you.”

Lucia was so furious that she spoke without even catching her breath.

His words ended up angering Malcolm. He stepped forward and pressed her against the door. He put his hands on either side of her, not allowing her to move.

“Hmm? What did you say?” Malcolm asked slowly with a cold expression.

“I said, if you’re not going to let me work just because we’re sleeping together, then…”

Before Lucia finished her words, Malcolm interrupted her with a brutal k**s. There was no tenderness, only a declaration that she belonged to him. It wasn’t until they were both out of breath that Malcolm pulled away. But he still didn’t let go of Lucia and gave her a sharp look.

“Wildcat, don’t talk to me like that again,” Malcolm warned coldly.

Lucia turned her head away in defiance. She was an independent individual, not an object to be imprisoned by this man. What she loved about Malcolm was his burning passion and underlying affection, which sometimes made her feel like he might love her. But now he was shamelessly trying to possess and hold her.

“Wildcat…” Looking at the stubborn look on Lucia’s face, Malcolm sighed slightly. In the end, he had no choice but to compromise.

“If you like it, you can do it. I won’t interfere in your affairs anymore,” he said flatly.

Lucia turned her head and looked at him with a bit of suspicion in her eyes. The two stood there for a while, looking at each other quietly.

“You won’t interfere with your affairs anymore.” Don’t you think? Malcolm asked morosely.

“Not unless you are also involved and become the main actor,” Lucia said casually.

She knew it was impossible for him to be agreement. Whether he was the CEO of Evans Group or not, he was an arrogant man who would never give in to do something he didn’t want. However, what Jay had just said really touched the heart of Lucia.

It was true that no actor was more persuasive and passionate than Malcolm. If he acted in the ad, the product would attract a lot of attention before it was even launched. As long as the perfume was good enough, the sales would go off without a hitch. And no matter how good Malcolm’s acting was, his looks were enough to make women swoon.

“Okay,” Malcolm said flatly.

“What?” Lucia, who had been lost in thought, was shocked. She looked at him stupidly, trying to figure out what he meant.

“I agree with everything you say.” There was love and compromise in his tone.

For a moment, Lucia didn’t know how to react. She looked at Malcolm in silence, trying to understand why he had changed his mind. It seemed that even though he was an arrogant man, he easily changed his mind to please her. The undisguised love in his eyes made Lucia fall for him again.

“Let’s go out,” Malcolm said, taking her hand.

The two of them walked back to the set hand in hand. When the crew members saw them, they immediately calmed down. Some of them were staring nervously at Malcolm and Lucia, while others had expectancy in their eyes. When Lucia announced the result, all their expressions turned into excitement. The filming should not have been postponed, and there was no need to find a new model. Additionally, they now had a better male lead. It was the best result they could have hoped for.

“Allen, hurry up and fix Miss Garcia’s makeup. Tony, grab Mr. Evans to change his clothes and brief him on the script. The rest of you, quickly prepare to begin,” Jay ordered with enthusiasm.

As instructed, Allen helped Lucia with her makeup. Just when he was finished, Malcolm came out of the dressing room. Lucia’s lips parted in surprise as she looked at him. Malcolm wasn’t wearing a suit like he was always did. Right now, he looked more like the Malcolm she had met in X Town.

He was shirtless and wearing only black pants and a black belt. The barber walked over and lightly ruffled his hair to make them look messy. Seeing Malcolm’s innate domineering aura, calm demeanor and handsome face, everyone present took a deep breath. Men were jealous of him, while women were all attracted to him. But when Malcolm gave them a warning look, they all stopped looking at him and hurried to take their places.

The set had a solid blue background. Under the light arranged by the lighting team, Lucia and Malcolm looked even more charming than usual. Slowly, sparks seemed to fly through the air. Both acted according to the script. They didn’t seem to need practice, or to do multiple takes. They played naturally, as if they had done it together many times before.

Soon, the filming of promotional photos ended. Jay let out a cry of excitement. He couldn’t wait to look at the photos taken by the photographer. After that, he asked everyone to quickly move to the other side of the set, where they would simulate the environment of a desert. The setting had been arranged to give the impression that there really was an endless desert before them.

Lucia and Malcolm took off their shoes and walked onto the plateau covered in soft sand. Filming of each scene began according to the new script.

The ad began with Lucia standing barefoot in the desert. At that moment, the wind blew. Her hair, which was in a bun, began to unravel, flowing gracefully with the wind. The camera zoomed in, showing a close-up of Lucia. Her beautiful figure looked particularly charming in the golden dress she wore. Slowly, Malcolm appeared and walked towards Lucia step by step. She reached out and twisted her finger at him, beckoning him to come forward. The expression in his eyes changed. They were no longer elusive, but full of tenderness and allure.

Narrowing his eyes, Malcolm walked towards her with a hint of danger in his eyes. When he was close enough, he reached out to hold Lucia, but she unexpectedly pushed him away. Surprise flashed in her eyes, but Lucia just looked at him gracefully without saying anything. When the music started, she approached him again. Malcolm took the initiative to hold Lucia’s waist, and the two danced together in the desert. When the music died down, so did their dancing. Lucia leaned against Malcolm’s chest, and the two kissed passionately. At the bottom of the screen, a silver perfume bottle and the word “Lure” appeared.

“Perfect! Done,” Jay said with satisfaction after glancing at the screen.

The crowd applauded in unison. The filming went well, but the atmosphere on set was unusually tense. Even though the air conditioning was on, everyone was in a cold sweat. The main actor was not the one they had carefully selected, but Malcolm. Who knew what would happen in the end? It wasn’t until Jay announced the success of the filming that everyone was relieved.

“Lucie, well done! » Jay was buzzing with excitement. He leaned forward to hug Lucia, but silently withdrew his arms when he noticed Malcolm’s cold gaze.

Lucia glanced at Malcolm before giving Jay a big hug. Malcolm just stared without saying anything to stop her. Seeing this, Hayes and the others rushed over and celebrated like they always did. They picked up Lucia and threw her in the air before catching her. The whole thing was filled with a joyful atmosphere.

“Okay. The announcement will come out in about a week. I’ll let you guys know then. Thanks for your hard work today. Please attend tonight’s party on time,” said Jay said excitedly.

“I won’t be able to join you all tonight. But have fun,” Lucia said on cue.

Everyone nodded without protest. It was rare enough for Malcolm to do something like that for Lucia. If they insisted on having Lucia at the party this evening, Malcolm might really lose his cool. They weren’t that stupid.

“Evans Group will cover all expenses. Send the bill tomorrow,” Malcolm said flatly.

Without waiting for a response from the crew, he took Lucia’s hand and walked out through the special passage.

“Thank you,” Lucia muttered awkwardly once they were in the car.

Malcolm, who was driving the car intently, glanced at her before saying, “Just this once.”

Lucia nodded and leaned back in the seat to take a nap. She was really tired after all a day’s work. When she pulled her coat over herself, her fingers inadvertently brushed the necklace she had put back on after the shooting. It filled her with mixed emotions. What Malcolm had done

today had touched her heart. She was truly grateful to him. It seemed like she had fallen in love with the man next to her. Even though he looked indifferent, he could easily tug at her heartstrings. “

I Love you, Malcolm. What about you?’ she thought.
