Epilogue

The desk phone rang on my desk almost immediately after I was done with talking with two workers in my office. I quickly answered the phone, presuming it to be from the receptionist on the first floor. "Hello, Christy, has she called",

"Yes, I think so, ma'am, she told me that she's waiting for you to pick up in person at the airport...",

"Christy... when did she call?", I replied, getting ready to leave the office.

"About an hour ago",

"Alright, thanks for the heads-up", I replied and ended the call. I took my handbag which I had left on the desk and went out of the office after adjusting the natty black suit I had worn to the office. As I stride through the hallways heading towards the elevator, I thought it best to see Richard briefly since he was in the same department on the last floor of the building.

I found him engrossed in flipping pages of the same documents he had been battling to finish at home since last night and had promised me that he would compile the paperwork for a project we had been working on for the company his father left him years ago to manage with the board members.

He didn't notice when I entered his office and it wasn't until I interrupted his silent reading which had lasted for three hours that he realized that I was in the room all along.

"You haven't finished it yet?" I questioned looking at the document that lay scattered on his desk. He got up from his seat at the sight of me and came to where I was.

"Not yet, love but I will... in five minutes from now", he replied as he sat down on the edge of his desk and planted a kiss on my forehead.

"I see",

"How are the kids? You know I didn't get to see them before I left early for work",

"They're fine and are in school right now", I said trying to break free from his embrace but his persistence got the better of me and we both hugged each other tightly. He made an obvious move to kiss my nape but I stopped him halfway before he could go any further.

"Not now, Richard...I have somewhere important I want to be right now",

"Gosh, I miss you...And where might that be?", he questioned retiring back to sit on the desk.

"Aunt's waiting for me to pick her up at the airport",

"Your aunt?, I've been really dying to see her since we last met in person",

"Me too...She hasn't visited ever since the wedding and to crown it all, she's here with Tom and Nora", "Hmmm, I think we need to prepare something nice for those two",

"No need to worry about that. I already got that covered",

"You have? That's fast. You really didn't quite tell me that your aunt is coming let alone her kids",

"I know, love but here's your chance to see them", I answered and glanced at my wristwatch.

"Oh God, I'm getting late....I gotta go pick her up....",

"Don't leave yet", Richard said, taking me back in his arms.

"Richard....She would get mad if I keep her waiting",

"Let her be...I'll take full responsibility for that", he said bathing the lower side of my chest with hungry kisses that read his intentions but somehow forced myself out of his clutches and withdrew away from him. "We have done a lot of crazy things in our life already...and....aunt is waiting",

"You are right that a lot of crazy things did happen between us and this won't make any difference", he said smiling maliciously.

"No and I mean not here in your office",

"Come on...There's no one in here but us",

"Sorry but I really have to go", I said and walked to the door shaking my hips as I often did to arouse his desire to chase after me whenever he wanted us to have sex.

And it always worked just like he did when he stopped me from leaving his office.

"Wait....a minute..." he said abruptly knowing my intentions. Then he walked up to where I was and grabbed me by the waistline with his left hand.

"What is it, honey?" I asked, pretending not to know what he was about to do. He didn't answer but brought his other hand to close the door which was slightly ajar and his lips were already on my breast by the time he slowly closed the door behind us.
