Melody’s POV

Two weeks later…

My heat finally broke and I was finally allowed to leave my room once again. Though I had a bit of a surprise for my three loving mates as I remembered what happened a bit ago.

One hour ago…

I woke up to my heat finally gone and no mates around. I looked around and found a note of the nightstand with a red rose tied to it.

Dear Melody,

We are going to get some work done in our offices. Riley will be bringing you your breakfast soon. We love you and will see you in a little bit.

Luca, Drake, and Jeremiah

I smiled as I read the note, and then there was a light knock on the door. “M’lady? Are you awake?” Riley’s sweet voice came though the door. “Yes. Come in Riley.” I answered her. The door opened and Riley poked her head inside. “Good morning, M’lady. Feeling better now?” She asked, as she pushed in a cart with different dishes on it. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. A fresh cheesy omelet with bacon and loaded home fries.

I smiled to myself, until all of a suddenly I felt as if someone had punched me in the gut and the need to puke was strong. I covered my mouth and ran into the bathroom as fast as I could. I thankfully made it to the toilet in time to start puking my guts out. I felt Riley come up from behind me and gather my hair up for me. She held my hair as I continued to puke.

Once I was done, Riley helped me stand on shaky legs. I went over to the sink and rinsed my mouth out with water. Then I brushed and gargled mouth wash to fully clean everything. “Are you alright? Should I get the doctor or your mates?” Riley asked. I shook my head. “No. I will be fine. For some reason the coffee smelled strongly today.” I mumbled.

Riley looked like she was thinking to herself for a moment before she gasped and then zoomed out of the room without another word. ‘I wonder where she is rushing off to.’ I said to Artemis, but she said nothing in response. ‘Artemis?’ I call out for her, but again was met with silence. It was weird not hearing from her, giving that we are so close. I then heard the door open and close again. Riley zooming back into the bathroom with Kia hot on her heels.

Riley held out a small box towards me. I looked down and I could feel my face instantly turn red. She had zoomed out of here to fetch me a pregnancy test from the pack hospital. “What?” I asked. Riley just smiled. “Well I talked about it with your mother and the pack doctor all about mating season and the female’s heat.” She answered.

“I was told that werewolf pregnancies were fast to detect right after the female’s heat breaks, and with all of you being of alpha b***d your pregnancy would only last about five to six months.” She said, still holding out the test. I was still a bit shocked, but I took the test from her and laid my hand on my still flat and toned stomach.

“Kai and I will be outside the bathroom if you need us.” Riley said as she pushed her brother out of the room. Kai had not said a word at all, but for some reason or another he would not stop staring at me. Once the door was closed I looked at the box in my hands. ‘No use in delaying it.’ I thought as I started to tear the box open.

I peed on the stick and placed the cap back on it. I set it on the counter and washed my hands. “What does it say?” Kai asked through the door. I giggled a bit as I opened the door. “Nothing yet. We got to wait a few minutes for stuff like this.” I told him. He cleared his throat a bit as his cheeks turned slightly red. This was the first time I ever saw Kai actually be embarrassed about something. Riley giggled at her brother’s face before smiling at me.

After a few minutes, I picked up the test and read the results. Two pink lines told me all I needed to know. ‘Artemis, we are pregnant.’ I said. This time she finally answered back. ‘Yes. We are.’ She replied back. “What does it say?” Riley and Kai asked in unison. I looked back at them and Kai seemed more nervous than I was while Riley had stars in her eyes with excitement. I smiled at them and showed them the test. “I am pregnant.” I said with a smile and joyful tears in my eyes.

Now…

‘I wonder what we will have first.’ I thought to myself. I would love my children regardless, but I couldn’t help but be excited for what the future has in store for us. I was lost in thought as I looked at my stomach through the mirror.

I felt some strong arms wrap around my waist. From the scent and the k****s on my neck told me that it was my Drake. “As much as I love you and the other two… I am not ready to be around you right now.” I said in a playful tone. Drake chuckled and nuzzled into my neck. “So what after your heat your gonna give us the cold shoulder?” He asked in his own playful tone. I heard a laugh coming from the doorway. “Not necessarily the cold shoulder, but the three of us are all she has seen in the past two weeks. It is normal for females to want to see others after their heat has broken.” Luca explained with a smile on my face.

Jeremiah came out of the closet with his suitcase and he set it by the door. “So do we cancel our trip?” He asked. I looked at him in confusion. “What trip?” I asked. “We are all going to Paris for a few different jobs. Jeremiah needs to stop at a few of his fashion houses, I am checking on a few hotel chains, and Luca is checking out some areas where we could possibly build another resort.” Drake answered as he left my side and went to the closet for his own suitcase.

“Oh, I honestly haven’t looked at our work schedule yet. No, don’t cancel it. We need to return to the normal work life as much as possible.” I said. I was never one to slack off on my duties if I could help it. Though going to Paris was always somewhere I wanted to go when I found my mates, and it will be the perfect place to tell them the exciting news. ‘It is the city of love for a reason.’ I thought. “Well then get pack, baby. We leave for Paris in two days.” Drake said from the closet. I smiled and headed to the closet, with the pregnancy test safely tucked away inside my pocket.
