Hero’s POV

Our princess’ special day has gone perfectly. The ceremony was done and Melody was officially married to the three kings. Leo was worried that she would be too nervous to remember the vows, but she was perfect, just like her mother.

I wrapped my arms around Jess as I thought about how Melody is so much like her mother she is. “Penny for your thoughts, love?” Jess asked as she leaned her head back into my chest. “Just thinking how much like her mother, our little girl is.” I said. Jess laughed. “No dear. Our little girl is so much stronger than I am. She will be a good queen.” Jess said.

Before I could say anything else. Luca, Drake, Melody, and Jeremiah all stood in the front, holding two black balloons, and gathered everyone’s attention. “Before we move on to the father-daughter dances, so our lovely bride can dance with each of her fathers, we have an announcement.” Luca said.

“We would like to share with you all that our family will be growing more than some may have expected.” Drake said, putting an arm around Melody’s waist. Jeremiah rested his free hand on her small stomach which had a small baby bump. “We are going to reveal the gender of the joy that rests within this beautiful woman before us.” Jeremiah said.

Jess was getting excited. She wanted to start planning on what to get our new grandchildren. Melody and Drake were in the middle as Luca held one balloon on the left and Jeremiah held the other on the right. Drake and Melody each grabbed a needle and everyone counted down with them.

“3… 2… 1…” ‘POP!’ The air was filled with blue and pink powder. “We are having TWINS!” Melody yelled, jumping up and down in Drake’s arms. Cheers filled the air as everyone was happy with the news. Jess ran from my arms to Melody and swooped her up into a big hug. “Oh, how wonderful. Two more grandbabies to spoil.” Jess said with tears of joy in her eyes.

Riley giggled. “They are your only grandbabies, Luna.” Riley said with her normal smile. “No, because we have two more.” Zero said, placing a hand on Riley and Kai’s shoulders. The twins still looked confused at what we were hinting at. Jasmine came over and smiled at her children.

“Riley. Kai. Even though you are not of their b***d, Ethan and Terrance want to be your fathers. So That would make their parents your grandparents.” She explained to them. The shock in their eyes was so adorable as they looked up at us and to Ethan and Terrance at their mother’s sides. “Really?” Riley asked. My sons just nodded and smiled at them.

“You are ours.” They said in unison. Riley ran and jumped into Ethan’s arms. Wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, giving him a big hug. “This is the best day ever!” She squealed, making everyone laugh. Kai walked over to Terrance and wrapped his arms around his waist. A rare smile on his face. Soon we were all in a big family hug.

“Now we can start this party off with the father-daughter dance.” The DJ announced. Melody looked at us. “So… who gets to go first with the blushing bride?” She asked as she twirled around in her dress. Making my brothers and I smile. No matter how big she gets, or how old he is… she will always be our precious baby girl in our eyes.

“I believe I get that honor sweetheart.” I said as I held out my hand to her. I had asked my brothers if I could be the first to dance with Melody. I had the perfect song for our dance. Each of us had picked a special song just for our little girl.

I smiled as Melody grabbed my hand and I led her out onto the dance floor. I pulled her close in a hug as I took her left hand in my right hand and placed my left hand on her waist for a proper waltz. Leo went over to the DJ and told him the song I chose for our dance. I faced Melody and she smiled big as the song played. It was a song that we had danced to when she was just a pup. ‘I Loved Her First’ By Heartland came on and I danced and twirled Melody around.

‘Look at the two of you dancin’ that way

Lost in the moment and each other’s face

So much in love, you’re alone in this place

Like there’s nobody else in the world

I was enough for her not long ago

I was her number one, she told me so

And she still means the world to me, just so you know

So be careful when you hold my girl

Time changes everything, life must go on

And I’m not gonna stand in your way’

As we danced, I was remembering all the good times I had with my little pup. Like when she went for her first run with us, riding on Loki’s back. How she would be covered in anything and everything when she played. Dirt and sweat if she was playing outside with her brothers, or covered in flour as she baked with her mother and grandmother.

‘But I loved her first, I held her first

And a place in my heart will always be hers

From the first breath she breathed

When she first smiled at me

I knew the love of a father runs deep

And I prayed that she’d find you someday

But it’s still hard to give her away

I loved her first’

I even remembered the first time I held her after she and her brothers were born on the Harvest Festival. She was perfect to me and always would be.

‘How could that beautiful woman with you

Be the same freckle face kid that I knew

The one that I read all those fairytales to

And tucked into bed all those nights

And I knew the first time I saw you with her

It was only a matter of time

I loved her first, I held her first

And a place in my heart will always be hers

From the first breath she breathed

When she first smiled at me

I knew the love of a father runs deep

And I prayed that she’d find you someday

But it’s still hard to give her away

I loved her first’

I kissed her temple as I remembered all the fairytales I used to read to her as we tucked her in bed when she was little. Playing with her stuffed toys and just making her laugh was always so rewarding. Even now as the memories were flashing in my mind.

‘From the first breath she breathed

When she first smiled at me

I knew the love of a father runs deep

Someday you might know what I’m goin’ through

When a miracle smiles up at you

I loved her first’

I brought her into a tight hug as the song ended. “I will always love you, baby girl. No matter how old or how much you grow. Papa will always be here to take care of you.” I whisper in her ear. “I love you so much, papa.” She whispered back as she tightened her arms around me. I heard someone clear their throat.

“Sorry to interrupt, brother, but may I cut in?” Zero said with a huge grin. I smiled and nodded. Giving Melody one last k**s on the forehead before I handed her off to Zero.

Zero’s POV

Leo told the DJ the song I chose for my dance with my little girl. I chose a more upbeat song for our dance. It is ‘Father and Daughter’ By Paul Simon. As soon as the beat comes on, I gently grabbed both of Melody’s small hands in mine and started to swing to the beat. Melody smiled and giggled. It was a rare event that I would dance. I was like Terrance and had two left feet, but I was going to try for my daughter’s special day.

‘If you ever awake

In the mirror of a bad dream

And for a fraction of a second,

You can’t remember where you are

Just open your window

And follow your memories

Upstream

To the meadow in the mountain

Where we counted every falling star’

I remember the first time that I danced with Melody. She was six and was standing on my feet as I spun around the room. I ended up falling on my butt with Melody a giggling mess as she landed on my stomach. I let go of her hands long enough to grab her by the waist and lift her up as I spun around really fast a couple of times. Causing my princess to squeal and laugh.

‘I believe the light that shines on you

Will shine on you forever

(Forever)

And though I can’t guarantee there’s nothing scary

Hidin’ under your bed

I’m gonna

Stand guard

Like the postcard

Of the golden retriever

And never leave

‘Til I leave you

With a sweet dream in your head

I’m gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you always know

As long as one and one is two

Ooh ooh

There could never be a father

Love his daughter more than I love you’

Only Melody and her mother knew of my soft side. I was usually pretty ruthless compared to my brothers, but together we were the perfect alpha for our family and our pack. Melody wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me tight as we continued our little jig. She use to hold me like this when she was scared of monsters and the dark. I promised her then that Daddy would always be there to protect her.

‘Trust your intuition

It’s just like going fishin’

You cast your line and

Hope you get a bite

But you don’t need to waste your time

Worryin’ about the marketplace

Trying to help the human race

Struggling to survive

It’s as harsh as night’

Even with her new life as the queen. I will always be here to keep her safe. “No matter how far apart our lives take us, princess, your daddy will always come to protect you from the shadows.” I whispered in her ear. I heard her breath deep like she was trying to keep herself from crying. “I love you so much, daddy.” She whispered back. Kissing my cheek. I felt my heart tug. I picked Melody up bridal style and twirled her around for the rest of the song.

‘I’m gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you always know

As long as one and one is two

Ooh ooh

There could never be a father

Love his daughter more than I love you

I’m gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you always know

As long as one and one is two

Ooh ooh

There could never be a father

Love his daughter more than I love you’

I softly sang the last part of the song to her as she was in my arms. Melody smiled widely and kissed my nose. “Daddy put me down” She said, in between giggles. I nuzzled my little princess and kissed her nose too before I put her down and handed her off to Leo who was ready for his turn.

Leo’s POV

It was my turn now to dance with my baby girl. She was just as much of an angel and queen her mother is. It took me forever to find the perfect song for our dance. I heard Nathan singing this song to his daughter, Lilly, when she was in bed sick and I felt a connection to it. It was perfect for Melody and I. The song we will be dancing to is called ‘My Little Girl’ By Tim McGraw. Melody has been all smiles today and still is as she places her right hand on my shoulder to dance with me.

‘Gotta hold on easy as I let you go

Gonna tell how much I love you

Though you think you already know

I remember I thought you looked like an angel

Wrapped in pink, so soft and warm

You’ve had me wrapped around your finger

Since the day you were born’

We moved to the gentle swing of the song. I smiled to myself as I think how the lyrics really are true for me. Ever since my baby girl was born, I was more gentle with her. Alex basically called me the teacher from hell when I got him to memorize our territory lines in order to find Jess, but I was never like that with my daughter. I remembered when she would sit on my lap and ‘help’ me with work, by stamping my seal on the documents that needed it.

‘You’re beautiful, baby, from the outside in

Chase your dreams, but always know the road

That’ll lead you home again

Go on, take on this whole world

But to me you know you’ll always be

My little girl

When you were in trouble, that crooked little smile

Could melt my heart of stone

Now look at you, I’ve turned around

And you’ve almost grown’

I spun her around and gently dipped her. Her mature laugh was different from her little giggles as my brothers and I would chase her around the pack house when we played with our pups. We had to be extra careful not to spoil any of our children with anything except for love. We made sure that our pups had all the love in the world.

‘Sometimes you’re asleep, I whisper, I love you

In the moonlight at your door

As I walk away, I hear you say

Daddy, love you more

You’re beautiful, baby, from the outside in

Chase your dreams, but always know the road

That’ll lead you home again

Go on, take on this whole world

But to me you know you’ll always be

My little girl’

I felt myself about to cry when Melody started singing the verse ‘daddy, love you more’ to me. I held her tighter to me. It was really hard to let go of the little girl that I raised with my brothers and mate.

‘Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand

But I won’t say yes to him unless I know

He’s the half that makes you whole

He has a poet’s soul

And the heart of a man’s man

I know he’ll say that he’s in love

But between you and me

He won’t be good enough’

That portion of the song made me smile as it reminded me of the day that Drake, Jeremiah, and Luca all sat down with us in the office to ask for our blessing to marry Melody. Even though the Moon Goddess blessed them with our princess, no man or men would ever be fully good enough for her in our eyes… but it made us respect them more than they asked before taking our princess even more away from us.

‘You’re beautiful, baby, from the outside in (outside in)

Chase your dreams, but always know the road

That’ll lead you home again

Go on, take on this whole world

But to me you know you’ll always be

My little girl’

I hugged Melody once more as the song ended. When she pulled back I saw unshed tears in her eyes. “I love you all so much. The songs you picked out were picked were all perfect and reminded me of different special moments with each of you.” Melody said as my brothers came to hug her once more. Everyone around the dance floor clapped as the DJ grabbed his mic again. “Wow so much love in the room already. Now it is time for the bride to dance a few special songs with each of her husbands.” He said. Luca bowed before he reached out for Melody’s hand. I wonder what songs they have chosen for her.
