3 ½ months later…

Melody’s POV

I am sitting in my office with Tobias and Star. It is my last day of work in the human world before I go on maternity leave. My stomach looks like I swallowed two and a half watermelons whole. For only having two pups inside right now, I was thinking something was wrong.

But two months ago the doc said that our pups are hybrids of three different species. Wolf pups were already bigger and mature faster than humans, but bear cubs are bigger than wolf pups. She thinks that all of our children will be around this size since Luca and Drake are both pretty big themselves, but there is no way of telling if they will shift into a bear or a wolf or remain a vampire until they get older.

Since my stomach was growing so fast, I could not go on work trips with my husbands. I had to stay at home. I only compromised that I would stay, only if one of them stayed behind to keep me company. Being pregnat did not stop my s*x drive, I think it made it worse. I craved my mates’ touch all the time. Not that they complained about it.

I finished the last bit of paperwork for the security department. Then looked over at Star. “Okay what else is there to do?” I asked. I felt a bit bad that Tobias, Ren, Star, Riley, and Kai have all had to play as my gophers since it got harder for me to move around. I was always slim and fit for fighting, sitting around just was weird for me.

Star looked at her computer for a few minutes. “Nothing really, but you really need to think about what you are going to do with that Fraudrin guy.” She said. “Yeah girl. He has been locked up in the cells since you all came back from Edolas. He kidnapped you and tried to kill Jasmine. I say we off the fucker.” Tobias growled out the last part.

I sighed. EJ and TJ were all for killing him too, but I think we can reform him. Everyone deserves a second chance to change in my opinon. Plus Jasmine handed him over to me to do with as I willed. Apparently in the beast human customs… when someone wrongs another, then it is that person’s decision on how the culprit is punished. Meaning that my brothers and mates have no say on his punishment. ‘I am not so sure that Fraudrin is capable of changing. Remember Jayde?’ Artemis says, putting her two cents in.

‘Not everyone is like her. She was given a second chance and blew it.’ I said back. “I was thinking we start him off on some kind of parole or something. If he does anything to upset the balance from this day forth, then he will be put to death.” I said. Star and Tobias looked at one another, but nodded their heads in agreement. Star quickly made a note of it and sent it to each of my mates.

That way when Luca and Drake got home tonight, we could discuss it in further detail… Or so I thought. I felt a sharp pain in my stomach that made me take in a sharp breath. In seconds, Tobias and Star were by my side. “Mel you okay?” They both asked in unison. Before I could answer I felt something warm and wet rush down my legs. The three of us look down and there is a huge puddle under me, soaking my chair and the floor.

“Holy s**t!” Tobias cursed as he gently lifted me into a bridal carry. Star’s eyes glazed over and a couple minutes later Jeremiah was running in with Riley, Kai, and Ren on hot on his heels. Jeremiah takes me from Tobias and starts walking out to the elevator. “I will call Luca.” Star said, to no one in preticular. “I will call Drake.” Tobias replied.

Jeremiah gets to the parking garage and puts me in the car. Ren, Kai, and Riley all climb in the back, before Jeremiah tears out of the garage. Ren used the cell phone that Carter had gotten her to call my parents that were over at our new pack house. My whole family was staying at our pack house for a couple weeks because I was due next week, but my pups decided to come early. I just prayed that Drake and Luca could make it home to meet their children.

I was doing my breathing exercise and trying to remain calm. ‘Man this is painfull. I am starting to understand why mama never had more kids after us.’ I siad to Artemis. She snickered. ‘Yeah, I was thinking of telling our mates that they can keep it in their pants from now on, but we both know that is not going to happen.’ She answered back. I laughed but another contraction hit. ‘Okay, no more laughing.’ I said.

We made it home and Jeremiah carried me to the pack hospital and into my private room. Mama was there and she shooed all the men out of the room, even Jeremiah and Kai, so she, Ren, and Star could help me change. “I know our men mean well, but they are not very useful during a time like this. I mean your fathers were mindless idiots when I went into labor with you and your brothers.” Mama said as they helped me laid down on the bed.

Star then opened the door and let the men back in. Jeremiah and Kai were at my side in an instant. The doctor came in and checked me. I was halfway dilated. I breathed a sigh of relief for a moment. That ment that Luca and Drake had a little more time to get home to be here.

After a couple of hours, It was time to start pushing. The doctor and his team were all ready. I tried to fight the need to push. I needed my other mates here. Jeremiah and Kai each held my hands. Drake and Luca both brusted through the doorway. Drake in his usual suit and Luca in only a pair of shorts. I rised an eyebrow at him.

“I shifted and ran here as soon as I hit the woods. Remus is much faster than any car.” Luca said, giving me a k**s on the forehead. Drake swapped places with Kai and kissed the other side of my head. “I think I about tramatized Jessie with how fast I was driving.” Drake commented. I shook my head and giggled a bit.

I was in labor for three and a half hours. Three and a half hours of painful pushing and squeezing the life out of my husbands’ hands. Though it was all worth it in the very end.

Our first born was our son. He was a whopping 10.5 pounds. He had a head full of midnight black hair wil silver streaks. His eyes were an icy blue. His name was Gabriel Dalton Ainsworth. Since we decided to use Drake’s family name as his middle name.

Our daughter was 9 pounds and she had black hair with golden blonde streaks through her hair. When she opened her eyes they were a beautiful dark green. We named her Danica Higgins Ainsworth. Using Luca’s family name as her middle name.

Danica ment ‘morning star’ while Gabriel means ‘god is my strength’. Since he was already sunch a strong little pup and his sister seem to glow.

I may have felt tired after all the pushing, but I wanted to hold my babies for as long as I could. “We need to take them for testing and clean up, Luna.” The doctor said. I gave them one more squeeze before the nurses took my babies.

After the nurses helped me get cleaned up and back in bed I was exhausted. Everyone came back into my room as we waited for my babies to be brought back in so the rest of the family could meet them. Kai seemed uneasy and was pacing around the room. “Kai, don’t worry. They will be here soon.” I tried to comfort him. “Something is not right.” He said. “What do you mean?” Jasmine asked her son.

“Something feels off, mother. Something is after the babies.” He said with a serious look in his golden eyes. Jasmine’s eyes wided and then she stood up and left the room without saying another word. Everyone exchanged glances, until a nurse with a fresh wound on her shoulder rushed into the room with Gabriel crying in her arms.

“WHAT THE HELL?!” Luca roared, as Drake took our son from the nurse. “An intruder came in, killed the doctor and the nurse that had the princess. Alpha Jasmine saved me from him, but he tossed something into her face as she told me to leave.” The nurse gasped out as she held her still bleeding shoulder. “DANICA!” I tried to get up, not caring how tired I was.

“Melody, you need to rest.” Mama yelled. “My daughter is god knows where and I need to find her.” I yelled back. Before my feet could hit the floor, all three of my fathers held me to the bed and a new doctor came in and injected me with something. I felt myself slip into darkness.

Third Person POV

Luca knew that Melody would be stubborn so he mindlinked another doctor to come and put her to sleep. They almost lost her once, he was not going to risk her hurting herself because she went after this intruder less than an hour after giving birth.

“Drake, you and everyone else stay here with Melody and Gabriel. Jeremiah and I will go after the intruder.” Luca said. Both of them nodded in response. Luca then turned to the Doctor. “Go with Riley and Kai and aid Alpha Jasmine.” He ordered. Riley and the doctor nodded, but Kai shook his head. “I want to go with you.” He said looking into Luca’s face.

Melody had told all three of them about Kai being mated to their daughter. There was too much risk of Kai and Titan losing it and they wouldn’t have Jasmine and Dalinda to control them. They could not risk Kai losing control because of something happening and expose themselves to humans. “Kai, we don’t have time. Jeremiah and I are the fastest, so do as you are told.” Luca growled out in his alpha tone.

Luca and Kai both know that their alpha tone doesn’t work on him, but Kai has enough respect for Luca that he finally nods his head. “Yes, alpha.” Kai said and then he followed Riley and the doctor out of the room. Jeremiah and Luca then sprinted off themselves to find their daughter and the one that harmed their pack members.

When Jasmine left Melody’s room…

Fraudrin had killed the gaurd to his cell and broken out. He waited until something big was happening and they would all be too busy to notice his escape until it was too late. He thought of doing it on their wedding day, but finding out that Melody was with child from the guards talking to each other. He decided to stay and wait until their offspring arrived.

He crept around the outside of the hospital, keeping out of sight. When he found the room where they were cleaning the babies in, he broke through the window and used a shard of glass to slice open the doctor’s throat. The nurses shreaked as they tried to flee with the children. Fraudrin used his claws to s***h into the shoulder hold Gabriel, causing her to fall into the corner. She whimpered in pain as she tried to shield the child’s body with her own.

Fraudrin grabbed the other nurse by the neck and snapped it after he took the child from her grasp. He looked at the little girl in his arms. “I wonder how much pain that little b***h will feel when she finds out she loses her children the same day they were born.” He said out loud.

The door breaking open made his head snap that way, only to see Alpha Jasmine barging into the room. She was ready to pounce until she noticed him holding Danica. She treaded carefully. Looking for a way to get the baby away from him before he could harm her in any way. “Attacking innocent pups now? How far you have fallen. You are just as pathetic as your brother.” Jasmine spat in disgust.

Fraudrin growled at her. “NO! It is you that is pathetic… You chose those bastards over your own mate. Bastards that were the prodect of your time with another man before you met my brother.” He snarled at her. “He attacked MY CHILDREN! No one harms my children and lives.” Jasmine growled out. Fraudrin then noticed that the other nurse had escaped through the door with the boy.

Fraudrin growled in frustration as he picked up some random bottles and threw them at Jsamine. The bottle’s breaking, as Jasmine avoided them, and they hit the wall behind her. But the fumes get to her and she becomes a bit unstable on her feet. Fraudrin uses this chance to open a bottle of rubbing alcohol and slpash it into Jasmine’s face.

Jasmine growls as Fruadrin jumps through the window he came in from. “I guess the boy gets to live a little longer, but this girl dies tonight.” He said to himself. Running as fast as he could, he knew that the nurse that got away would be heading straight for the little moon princess and her mates.

Fraudrin ran as fast as he could. Though it wasn’t long before he heard the sounds of massive paws hitting the ground. With his beast refusing to aid in the death of an inoccent child, Fraudrin was on his own. His beast would not give him strength or speed to survive if caught by them.

Fraudrin skidded to a stop when he came face to face with a thunderous waterfall. Knowing he wsa trapped, he still wanted some kind of revenge on them. Without a second thought, Fraudrin tossed Danica off the cliff and into the rapid waters below. ‘I at least killed one of them before I die.’ He thought to himself as he turned and saw Logan and Remus break through the tree line.

“Where is our daughter, you pathetic scum?!” Logan hissed. His eyes were b***d red and his fangs elongated. He was out for b***d. Remus sniffed around and growled loudly when his pup’s scent ended here. “I would guess that thing is with Selene right now. Not ever a grown man could survive those waters tonight.” Fraudrin laughed.

Logan was in front of him in an instant, plunging his hand into Fraudrin’s chest and ripping out his still beating heart. Remus launched at Fraudrin, before the life left his eyes, his razor sharp teeth piercing his throat and with a twist of his neck… Remus had snapped Fraudrin’s head clean off his shoulders.

Once his body fell to the ground, Remus looked over at Logan. ‘What do we tell our mate?’ he asked through their link. Logan sighed. ‘Mind link some warriors so we can do a sweep of the river. If our daughter is dead then we need to at least find her body to give her a proper burial.” Logan said, before running to look around the river. He was not going to wait for the warriors as he started searching for his daughter or her body.

Unknown’s POV

Down the river…

I sat next to the river in despair. I have lost my unborn child yet again. How could I go back home and tell my mate that once again we lost our pup. I was so close to being a mother that I am so broken right now. Even my wolf is not speaking. Then a soft cry breaks the silence of the quiet night.

My wolf perks up her ears. It is the sound of a baby. I snap my head and look around, then I see it. A small bundle floating down the river on a patch of reeds and marsh life. I quickly got up and rushed to the little one, not caring about having to get into the freezing water.

I lift the little bundle in my arms and see a beautiful little girl with black hair and blonde streaks. She whimpers slightly as she shivers. I hold her close to warm her and start talking to her. “Shh… shh… shh… Little one. It is alright.” I cooed at her. She opened her eyes and I was instantly pulled into her beautiful deep green eyes. “Don’t worry baby girl. I will take care of you.” I said as I nuzzled her little nose. “Mama will always take care of you, my little miracle child.” I said gently as I started walking towards my home to show my mate our little miracle of a daughter, our little Karisma.
