‘So who are we going to tell first?’ Artemis asked me as I made my way to the dining room for breakfast. I sighed. ‘Well I know I am telling our brothers first, but I don’t know about telling Luca just yet.’ Artemis growled a bit at the last part. ‘Why not he is our mate. I am sure he will be wanting to help us.’ ‘I know that, but he just got his wolf last night. How can I tell him that not only am I a chosen Moon Princess, but that I have two other mates out there that he has to share me with. Plus we don’t even know what our other mates are. I don’t know any of the wolf packs in Maine or Russia.’ Artemis was quiet for a moment. ‘Would it be bad if they were not wolves?’ she asked.

‘You know that I would love and cherish my mate or mates no matter the race, but Luca is the prince of the werewolves in North America. Some might challenge him for accepting a mate that was also mated to some other creature. Plus you saw how he was with Anthony in the beginning.’ I hear Artemis whine but I get cut off from her when I run into a hard muscular chest.

“Whoa there.” I felt someone catch me before I fell on my a*s. I look up and see Brandon, our head warrior and Oliver’s dad. “Sorry about that. I was talking with my wolf on the way to breakfast.” I said as I stood up straight and bowed my head a bit in apology. “No harm done Mel, but is something bothering you?” I was shocked by his question. I trusted my pack with my life, but I wouldn’t want them to be targeted because of me if someone else found out.

“W-w-what do you mean?” I stammered out. ‘Great job Mel, he is not going to suspect anything now.’ Artemis said in the most sarcastic voice I had ever heard her speak in. I just internally rolled my eyes at her. “Melody, do I need to bring this up to your mother?” he asked, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow. “NO!, uh- I mean no but can I ask you a question?” I said trying to change the topic a bit. He was still looking at me with that look like he was trying to read my every move, but he kept silent and nodded his head.

I took a deep breath and tried to word the question right in my head before I opened my mouth again. “Well when you first met Aunt Sabrina, um… What would you have done if she had more than one mate, but they were all different creatures? Like you are a wolf, she is a witch, if one was a weretiger and another a werebear. How would you feel?” I said while fiddling with my fingers. I felt a large hand rest on my head. I looked up and Brandon was smiling at me kindly. “Mates are made to be the perfect complement to their other half. Like how Sabrina and I compliment each other.” His smile grew as he thought about his mate.

“If she was to have other mates that were different than I was, then they completed her in a way I couldn’t. No one is perfect in this world, but if you are so worried about how he will react then you need to nip the problem in the butt now before you are marked.” He said. My jaw hit the floor. “What?” Brandon just shot me a wink and whispered into my ear. “I walked in on Shianna and Sabrina one night and heard them talking to each other about you being chosen. If Luca is the perfect mate for you he should understand, but I can’t tell you how he feels.” Brandon stood up straight again and ruffled my hair.

“Ack!” I squealed. “Don’t over think it and don’t carry it all alone. You have your whole family and pack behind you.” He said and he walked away. ‘Wow and I always thought he was just a muscled hot head that liked fighting.’ Artemis said. ‘You and me both. So I guess our brothers then Luca?’ ‘Sounds like a plan girl.’ I said as I walked to the dining room.

Once I get there Luca is sitting with everyone at the table. His face lights up when his eyes meet mine. “There you are. Luca has been looking for you all morning.” Dad said. I gave a nervous laugh. “Sorry, after last night I went to the garden to meditate for a while and get my head in the right space.” I said. It was not a complete lie. I did have to clear my head after all the information I received from the Moon Goddess and my parents’ wolves. I felt mama’s eyes wander over me, but she remained silent. ‘We definitely have to tell mama before we leave. She will be the only one to calm our fathers when they find out we are gone.’ I told Artemis. She huffed in agreement.

I sat down next to Luca and he smiled as he fixed a plate for me. I shot EJ and TJ a quick mind link. ‘EJ. TJ. I need you guys to meet me in our secret spot. It is important and I am bringing Luca along.’ I cut the link and looked at them. They answered me with their eyes. Letting me know that they would meet me there. Luca puts a place full of waffles and fresh strawberries in front of me. “Thank you, Luca.” I say and give him a k**s on the cheek. Luca smiles and pulls me onto his lap.

“Ewww. PDA.” I heard my brothers whine in unison. I wink and stick my tongue out at them. “You are just jealous.” I said with a smirk. EJ and TJ each grab a muffin and throw them at me, but before they could hit me… They stopped and floated in mid-air. “Thank you Zezar.” Luca said as he brought a bite of waffles to my lips. I turned and saw Zezar’s eyes were glowing. He then brought the muffins over to him and Tobias. They seemed so happy. Artemis was purring up a storm at the attention that Luca was giving us. I smiled and took the bite from him.

Breakfast finished and I grabbed Luca by the hand. “Come with me.” I said and pulled him along with me. He followed without much fussing. “Everything okay baby girl?” he asked as he followed. I stopped and looked at him. I gave him a gentle smile and wrapped my arms around his sexy abs. “It is fine, but it is important to talk with you and my brothers before we go sit in on the meeting with the rogues.” Luca hugged me back. “Alright baby girl.” Was all he said.

We get to the corner of the north garden. I walk up to a howling wolf statue, and push it to the side to reveal a hole underneath it. “What is that?” Luca asks. I look over my shoulder at him and smirk. “Is the big bad alpha scared to just take a leap of faith?” He roared with laughter. “Oh baby girl. I love the sassy mouth of yours.” I smirked and kicked his feet out from under him and pushed him into the hold. “Whoa!?” he yelled as he slid down.

I listened to the sounds in the hole and heard a big thump and then laughter. “Are you still alive?” I teased. “Very funny.” I heard him grumble. I go down the hole slightly and move the statue back over the hole before I fully slide down myself. I get to the bottom and see the little club house that my brothers and I made under the garden. It was like an air pocket underground where we just brought stuff like chairs, books, beanbags and pillows. Luca was sitting down in a chair across from EJ. TJ was on his swing chair gently swaying back and forth. “So what is this about sis?” TJ asked.

I stood and took a deep breath. “Um, well I had a weird dream last night.” EJ held up his hand. If it had anything to do with you and Luca, count us out.” TJ nodded. I felt my face heat up. “No you perverts. It was about the Moon Goddess!” That got their attention. TJ stopped swinging, EJ and Luca sat up straighter. “Okay we are all ears.” EJ said. I took a deep breath and told them all about how the Moon Goddess said that I was her chosen Moon Princess and that I had to find my other two mates before the summer equinox. Luca kept a straight poker face as I explained everything I found out from the dream, Artemis, and our parents’ wolves.

I ended it all with telling them what clues Artemis and I got when we tried to locate our other mates. The whole room was quiet when I finished. I knew no matter what TJ and EJ would support me no matter what I chose. Artemis and I were more interested in Luca’s reaction. He stood up and walked over to me, and pulled me into a tight hug. “I am very possessive over what is mine, baby girl, but I will not go against the Moon Goddess’ path for us. It may be a hard pill to swallow, but I will try to get along with these other mates of yours.” He said gently.

I looked at him shocked. “It doesn’t bother you?” He shrugged. “Even if they are different supernatural creatures? Because I don’t know any wolf packs in those areas to be honest.” He thought for a moment. “I can’t guarantee that we will be best pals, but if they feel the way I do about you, then I think we can coexist as your mates. We just might fight more for your attention than your dads do for your mother.” He said with a sheepish look. I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist and crashed my lips onto his.

His hands went down to my a*s and squeezed as he growled into my lips. I heard my brothers g***n and gag in the background. I pull my lips away from his, leaving us panting for air. “Dude, that is still our baby sis. We don’t need to see you two swap saliva.” TJ snarled out. I giggled as Luca nuzzled into my neck. I felt someone try to reach me through the pack mind link. I dropped my mind block and heard mama’s voice.

‘Ethan, Terrence, Melody. Please come to the main hall. We are going to have our meeting with the rogues you brought home last night.’ She said. ‘Alright mom. We will be there in five minutes.’ EJ replied before the link went dead. “Everything okay?” Luca asked. I nodded, “Yeah we just got to go and speak with the rogues we brought here last night. So let’s go.” I said, jumping out of Luca’s arms and headed towards a rope that we use to climb out of our little club house. “And remember Luca… this is our secret place. No one is allowed here.” I glared at him. He smiled and raised his hands in surrender. EJ and TJ laugh as I start to climb up. “You are so whipped dude.” EJ said. “She is worth it.” Luca replied.
