Episode 63

The next morning…

I woke up feeling sore and satisfied. True to his words, Drake made love to me until the sun came up. I looked over at the clock and noticed that I had only slept for a couple of hours. I sat up and stretched. Drake was sleeping next to me. He looked so cute. I kissed his lips and got up to collect my clothes, but some strong arms pulled me backwards and I was slammed against a hard chest. “Where do you think you are running off to?” Drake’s deep voice asked in my ear. “I was getting ready to go home. We have things to take care of.” I said as I pulled away from him enough to k**s him. He growled and shifted us so he was on top of me. I giggle and turn my head to break the k**s.

Drake growls but continues to k**s down my jaw and neck. I found out that Drake has a cute little fedish with constantly kissing me on my neck. I guess it is his way of staking his claim in front of humans, since most supernatural creatures understand the mate marks on my neck. I giggled. “Drake, we need to go. I don’t want you to fork up the money for another night in the suite.” I say honestly. I was in too much of a horny haze last night to chew him out for spending so much for a one night room.

I may come from a rich family, but my parents have always taught us to be wise spenders. Drake chuckled against my neck. “That is not a problem little mate. I own this hotel. Along with several other hotel chains.” He said as if it should have been obvious. I guess something like that should have been. I mean he is the king and just like alphas, kings need some kind of business to help them support their people. I wonder what Jeremiah and Luca do in the human world. “Ok, but we have training and you can not just dump all your work on Jessie again.” I say. Drake g****s, but when he pulls his head from my neck and looks at me he is not really upset. “How did I get so lucky for a mate with a good head on her shoulders?” He asked as he placed his face so close to mine the tips of our noses were touching.

I giggle and shrug. “Just thank my parents for raising us right, and not turning my brothers and I into spoiled brats like some have.” I said. My brothers and I have met a few children of alphas from other packs and they were spoiled brats. Thinking that they could boss anyone around just because they were ranked below them. It almost caused a few feuds between other packs when I would put a spoiled princess in her place with my words when we met up at pack parties that we attended to keep good relations with other packs. I give Drake a quick k**s and then slip out of bed running to the bathroom. He growls and I giggle.

After getting cleaned and dressed we left. Unfortunately for Drake it doesn’t take us long to get back to the pack house. I was laughing at Drake’s cute expressions when we walked into the office that my dad had given to Drake for the time we were here. We walked into Jessie slumped over the desk with a bunch of papers scattered all around. “Oh my goodness. Jessie, was this all the work you had to do yesterday?” I asked. If it was then I would be giving Drake a piece of my mind on this. Jessie sighs but shakes his head. “No, all this paper is just my scattered ideas on how to get out of ‘time out’ with Star.” He says. ‘Ouch. Star still has him in time out.’ I thought to myself. ‘Well why don’t we help him?’ Artemis suggested. ‘Great idea.’

I go over and look at the papers he has scattered on the desk. A lot of these things are things that Star is not really interested in. “Well Star is not into the girly things like most females in our packs. She only likes them when it is for formal parties and stuff.” I said to him and then I swapped the laptop away from him. I started google searching for anything that I knew would catch Star’s eye. She liked rock and roll alot, and I found that there would be a concert by Def Leppard in a couple of days. “Why don’t you take her on a date to this concert?” I asked as I showed him the screen. “Wait, she likes Def Leppard?” Jessie asks. I smile and nod. “Yup. Star loves rock and roll music. I think that is all she has on her playlist.” I said with a giggle.

Jessie stood up and hugged me tight. “Oh thank you for your help, Melody.” I laughed and patted his side. It was about all I could do since he kind of locked my arms onto my sides. “And if you need someone to get her there so she can’t turn you down, then make it a double date with Tobias and Zezar. Tobias can convince Star to come.” I suggest. Star is a good person and I know this is killing her to ‘punish’ her mate. She has always told me how she wanted a mate she could show her true self to, but since Jessie and I started off on the wrong foot, she wants him to understand that her friends and family will always come before her mate. No matter how much she wants her mate.

Jessie’s POV

I squeezed Melody in a tight hug for her helping me find a way to get my mate, Star, to be with me. Drake growled and tugged Melody away from my grip and into his own arms. “Mine.” He said while giving me a death glare. I raised my arms in surrender and chuckled. “Relax bro, I only have eyes for my Star.” I told him. Melody giggled as she wrapped her arms around Drake’s neck from behind her. “Oh calm down mister. At least Jessie isn’t hitting on me like that blonde bimbo was doing to you last night.” She said in a teasing tone. Drake huffed and nuzzled himself in the crook on her neck. I guess they had an interesting date last night.

I spend the rest of the day getting things ready to surprise Star for a date. Tobias and Zezar were willing to go on the double date with us, but they drew the line at staying at the same hotel with Star and me if I got lucky. Most hotels are not as soundproof as the pack house and with our highetend hearing it would be hard to block out the sounds of others getting it on. “Ok so I will get a room at this hotel for me and Star, and a room at the one across the street for you two.” I say to conform we are on the same page. Tobias and Zezar nod. “And we will get Star there at the concert for you to woo her.” Tobias said with a smirk on his face. Zezar rolls his eyes. “Behave Tobias, you will be in the dog house next.” Zezar jokes. Tobias stiffened and wrapped his arms around Zezar. “Ok ok I’m sorry, please don’t become mean like Star.” Tobias begged. Zezar and I laughed at how quick Tobias goes from joking around to begging. So I got everything in place and waited for the concert.

Star’s POV

‘Star, our mate apologized to Mel already. I want our mate.’ my wolf, Crystal, whined. I sigh. ‘I want him too Crystal, but we can not just be weak minded about this just because of the mate bond. He hasn’t even really talked to us.’ I counter. I get pulled from my thoughts when someone knocks at my door. I went and opened it to find Tobias and Zezar standing there. “Hey guys, what is up?” I ask, with a smile on my face. “We got tickets to see Def Leppard in concert, wanna come with us.” Tobias asked. He had a huge grin on his face. “What? Really?” I said in excitement. I love almost all rock and roll groups, but Def Leppard was at the top of my list along with K**S and Jackyl. Zezar laughed at my fangirling and nodded his head.

“Yes. You seemed kind of down lately and Melody told us you liked rock and roll, so we thought this would cheer you up a bit.” He said. I jumped up and hugged both of them. “Oh thank you, thank you, thank you. I would love to go.” I said as I squeezed them to me. Tobias laughed and patted my back as Zezar just stiffened and I then remembered that warlocks don’t really like touching other people. I release my hug quickly. “I’m so sorry Zezar.” I said while waving my arms in front of my body. He smiles at me. “It’s ok. I was just caught off guard.” He said. “Plus he is still getting used to physical contact with other people.” Tobias added.

The day of the concert I dressed to slay. I wore leather leggings that hugged my h**s like a second skin and the dangling chains decorated it perfectly. I had customized combat boot style heels that were black on top, but a ruby red on the bottom. A steampunk halter buckle overbust corset that hung off one of my shoulders. I wore a spiked choker and a spike bracelet on each wrist. My hair was up in a ponytail and braided. I haven’t seen Jessie in the last couple days. Tobias is driving us to the concert. Him and are just in ripped jeans and a plain t-shirt under their leather jackets.

We got to the concert and there at the front was Jessie. Crystal was yipping and panting in my mind, because he was looking extra tasty tonight. He had a black tank top stretched across his thick bulky muscles with ripped blue jeans and boots. I glanced at Tobias and Zezar. Tobias was giving me his normal smirk and Zezar gave me a smile that basically screamed ‘Sorry for tricking you.’ I rolled my eyes at the two of them and walked up to Jessie and crossed my arms. He smiled his sexy smile and I felt my body betray me and heat up. “I didn’t peg you for the rock and roll type.” I said. Though that would be a total lie. I could tell from his casual dress that he liked rock and roll, I just ignored it.

“I think that is my line.” He chuckled. “Just from our first meeting, I would never have thought you were the wild kind of gal interested in rock and roll.” I felt my cheeks heat up. Me being a fangirl of rock and roll was something only my family and close friends knew. I tried not to be too unladylike for the sake of my father’s position being looked at in a wrong light. Though that doesn’t seem to have to be an issue now.

Since Melody and Luca are now the rulers of the werewolves, the elders’ old ways will be changing big time. They even tried to tell Luca’s parents that a she wolf that was mated to other races shouldn’t be the next queen regardless of the legend that Melody is fulfilling. Melody who had completed the mating bond not only with Luca and her other mates, but the alpha’s bond between her wolf and their inner souls. The only way then could break that is if Luca and Melody willingly rejected each other or if another she wolf challenged Melody for the title. It would be a cold day in hell before I see a she wolf other than Riley, Kayla, and Natalia beating Melody in a fight, and those three are hybrids with magic.

“Well now you know. So you think you’re able to tame this wild girl?” I asked Jessie while raising an eyebrow and a smirk. I saw his eyes start to swirl with black as he looked me up and down. “I think I can manage.” He said in a deep sexy voice. I smirked and snapped my fingers to get his attention. “My eyes are up here mister.” I said. Jessie met my eyes again and I heard a low growl come from him. That growl sent a shiver down my spine. I hooked my arm in his and dragged him inside without giving him a chance to say or try anything else. He will have a nice surprise later when I let him out of time out. I can see how other women in the line were eye groping my mate. He is mine and belongs to only me, and I will prove that tonight when I claim what is mine.
