Grace’s POV

We were in the dining room of this huge house. “It is quite a lovely home, Alphas.” I bowed to Melody’s parents. Melody’s mother, Jess, smiled. “There is no need for you to alway bow to us.” She said. “Sorry, force of habit. It is a custom in our world that those with rank and power are always addressed as such. Especially in front of others.” I informed them. The only time we called our own alpha by name was when it was just us and our clan. Suddenly the doors burst open. “I am so sorry I am late… I… was…” A very handsome young man came into the dining room. Though he seemed to lose his train of thought as he sniffed the air. His sexy brown eyes glowed a beautiful red color.

‘Another vampire.’ I thought to myself. He was good looking. His light brown hair was ruffled. His eyes scanned through the room. He must have found his mate or something. I thought to myself. Giants like me usually don’t get fated mates like beast souls and other creatures, but it does happen sometimes. My father was a giant, but my mother was a tiger beast soul. It was a fifty fifty chance I could take after either one of them. I then matured into a giant. I was pulled from my thoughts as tingles shot up my arms. I focused on what was in front of me and saw those beautiful red glowing eyes again. “My mate.” He purred as his arms tightened around me and his face was in the crook of my neck. I felt a shiver run through me, as well as the need to be within this man’s arm forever.

*Clap* *Clap* I looked to my right and saw Alpha Jasmine clapping. She had a smile on her face. “It seems Mother Selene is very adamant that we connect with this world.” She said in a teasing tone. That is when it fully registered to me. I have a mate, and he was a very sexy vampire that lived in this pack. I pulled back a bit to look this man in the eyes. He looked at me with a small smile on his pale yet full lips. I placed a hand on his cheek and he nestled into my palm. I smiled and without another thought, I crashed my lips onto his.

Anthony’s POV

Sparks erupted all over my body as I felt my mates lips on mine. Louis was over the moon with happiness. Our mate smelled of wild pine and lilac. I couldn’t sense her inner soul or anything like that. It seemed that I was mated with a gifted human. Not that I was complaining. I would love her no matter what she was. I heard some giggles behind me so I pulled back from my mates delicious lips. She looked at me with her green eyes. I licked my lips. Remembering her settled sweet taste on my lips. I looked over to see Lily and Mel giggling while Terrence, Ethan, and the others were smirking at me.

“What so you guys can all make-out with your mates but I can’t?” I asked in a sarcastic tone. Everyone just bursted out laughing. I sat down with my arm wrapped around my mate. “Wow Jasmine. More and more of you pack members are being mated to our pack members.” Ethan said while wrapping an arm around the shoulders of a girl with a mask. She smiled and nodded. “Grace can be a handful.” The girl said. “I think I can handle her.” I said as I nuzzled my little mate. ‘Grace is a beautiful name.’ Louis said.

Then a little blue ball of fire appeared in the middle of the room. A silver sox was left, once the flames died down. “Hello Calcifer. What are you doing here?” The girl Ethan called Jasmine asked. The silver fox bowed his head to her. “Greetings master. I come bearing news from Edolas. Someone has issued a challenge to the Alpha’s guard.” He said, while gently waving his tail back and forth. Jasmine, and the others, including my mate, stood up and started heading outside once again. Kai and Riley got up. “This is gonna be good.” Kai said, with a cocky smirk. “Oh what do you think it is this time, brother? A dwarf or maybe a centaur?” Riley asked in excitement as they left the room.

“What is going on?” I asked. “Someone is challenging one of the ranked members for their position in the clan.” The silver fox, Calcifer, said. “The Alpha’s Guard is what we call the closest group of people to our alpha. They would be on equal terms with your ranked wolves. For example guard numbers one and two are held by Natalia and Kayla, who would be considered betas in a normal pack.” He stated. “Wow, that is interesting. What are the others ranked?” Alpha Leo asked. “The ranks are in this order… Alpha Jasmine, Miss Natalia, Miss Kayla, Master Parker, Miss Grace, Master Robin, and Miss Ren. When someone challenges them it would be a one on one fight. No one is to interfere and sometimes it can be to the death if one refuses to surrender.” Calcifer explained then he hopped off the table and went outside where the others had gone..

Carter and I shot up and ran outside. With everyone else following behind us. “Bring the challenger.” Alpha Jasmine said. Calcifer blew a blue ring of fire and a huge man appeared from the smoke, and this thing was HUGE! He was easily about ten feet tall and his arms and legs were as thick as tree branches. He looked human enough, but he was just too big to be human. He had dark brown hair and olive tan skin. His dark brown eyes were close to black, but were full of focus and respect. “Wow a troll?” Riley said. The man laughed and smirked. ‘This man was a troll?’ I thought. He was nothing like the trolls of old folk tales. In fact he looked like us, just really really big for a human. “What is your name and the purpose of this challenge?” Alpha Jasmine asked with full authority in her voice. Natalia, Kayla and the others stood behind her as if soldiers that were at attention.

The troll got down on one knee. “I came looking to be of service to the alpha that had once saved my clan from investors. I am the third son of the clan head. My name is Tristan.” He spoke in a deep voice. His voice was almost as deep as an animal. “Alright, you may choose anyone on the guard to be your opponent. If you win you take their spot.” Alpha Jasmine said. Tristan stood up and looked at each of the people behind Alpha Jasmine. “I choose her.” Tristan said as he pointed to Grace, my mate.
