Alisha’s eyes snapped open to meet those of her partner.

-Are you all right,” he asked, holding her in his arms, “You lost consciousness for a few seconds.

She sat up with his help and felt Louva’s fingers checking her pulse.

-It was another memory,” she replied, smiling at the albino who stepped back more calmly.

-And what did you see? -Serguei knelt down in front of her.

-I don’t know very well,” she looked him in the eye and frowned, “Alpha, I need to know the detailed history of the pack and how the female attack went.

-What’s the interest now in our past, when until recently you weren’t interested in anything about us,” Dakota startled everyone by leaning against the doorframe.

Alisha put down the book to pick up another and continue reading. It had been like this all afternoon and early evening. Cristián came out of the shower drying his head with a towel and only one pair of trousers. He liked the sight of his partner in the middle of his bed, so focused on what she was doing.

She didn’t answer and just lowered her head.

Cristián took the book from her hands, grabbed her by the waist and put her on his lap without difficulty.

-You know you can tell me anything. I’m your partner. I can sense your uncertainty, as well as your acceptance of me, but something isn’t right and I want to know what it is.

-Christian, I,” she took a breath, “I am not your mate.

The wolf looked at her and couldn’t decipher her expression.

-You’re trying another way to leave my side, aren’t you, because I’m tired of this little game?

-I don’t mean that,” she shook her head, “Yes, you’re my mate, but not my body.

Alisha felt him growl beneath her.

She just let out a huge laugh.
