Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee
Chapter 895: I’m Waiting for Your Revenge

For someone working in a luxury boutique, memorizing the faces and names of high-society figures was a daily requirement.

In Ashbury's elite circle, most prominent individuals were well-known to her. However, Jared and Tina were rarely seen shopping in public. Although Tina had appeared in the media briefly, the coverage was quickly suppressed. Tina's identity as Ruud's biological daughter and Ian Brookes' granddaughter was well-known within the inner circle, but it hadn't reached those outside. Since the boutique employee wasn't part of that exclusive world, she had no idea who Tina was or her background.

Hearing Tina casually mention the Reed family, Farrell family, Brookes family, and Pace family was startling, to say the least.

The Reed family, for instance, had risen to prominence only in recent years. It was said to be a small family with just four members.

Once ranked second in Ashbury, the Reed family had started to decline after Jasper's arrest. Still, with Damian and Garrett holding things together, they remained relatively stable.

As a result, there were now two Reed families in Ashbury.

The employee didn't know which Reed family Tina was referring to, but working for either one would be a significant upgrade. Let alone the Farrell, Brookes, or Pace families-those were even more prestigious.

Initially, based on Tina's attire, the employee assumed she was just an ordinary person. She never imagined Tina would have such an impressive background.

Tina glanced at her, speaking calmly and slowly, "You should thank yourself."

If this employee had looked down on her earlier, her outcome today would have been uncertain.

Tina didn't care about such things, but that didn't mean Jared wouldn't.

The employee, still shaken, responded, "No matter what, thank you!"

Tina waved her hand dismissively before pulling Jared along to leave.

From the floor, Kaleigh Swanson staggered to her feet, glaring at Tina with hatred burning in her eyes. She gritted her teeth and demanded, "What's your name? Do you dare say it out loud?"

Tina turned, stepping closer, her gaze icy and her voice indifferent. "Tina Reed. I'll be waiting for your revenge."

In a rare good mood today, Tina decided to humor Kaleigh Swanson when she made the ridiculous claim of wanting to "purchase" Jared.

Of course, there was another reason.

Tina studied Kaleigh Swanson for a moment, her eyes flashing with an unreadable emotion.

Kaleigh Swanson glared back at Tina, her teeth nearly cracking under the pressure. "I won't let you get away with this," she hissed.

Tina withdrew her gaze, unwilling to waste another word on her. She turned and walked away.

Once outside the mall, Tina's expression darkened.

Jared radiated an aura of cold hostility.

After a moment, Tina glanced back at the mall, where Kaleigh Swanson was frantically making a phone call to complain. Suddenly, Tina chuckled. "The Swanson family... interesting." Jared placed a long, elegant hand on her shoulder and spoke in a low voice, "She's just a clown. Don't let her ruin our date."

Tina smiled at him. "You seem to attract a lot of unwanted admirers, don't you?"

Her smile, however, carried an unsettling chill.

Jared immediately raised his hand in mock surrender. "I swear, I haven't flirted with anyone but you! It's not my fault I look this good. Should I... disfigure myself?"

Tina's expression turned exasperated. "You want to make me sick of you?"

She was a sucker for good looks!

If her "Uncle" didn't look good, how could she want him?

Of course not!

Jared sighed dramatically. "So, Tina only loves my face?"

His voice carried a note of mock grievance.

He had thought Tina loved his soul.

Tina reached up to touch his face, her tone serious. "Uncle, you should thank your parents for giving you this face..."

Jared was speechless.

So it was true.

Love, it seemed, was a lie.

Tina didn't love him at all!

Ashbury's Swanson estate was a sprawling four-story villa built by the water. White wooden fences lined the property, which featured a pointed white roof, endless emerald-green lawns, and architecture reminiscent of a European castle. At the center of the courtyard stood a large fountain surrounded by vibrant, blooming roses.

Kaleigh Swanson sped into the underground garage, her car scattering fallen leaves in its wake. Her face was still red from the slap she'd received earlier.

After parking, she rushed to the Swanson family's study, tears streaming down her face. She flung the door open and burst into loud sobs.

Inside, the setting sun cast a warm glow. A man in a white shirt, with gold-rimmed glasses perched on his nose, sat by the window. His sharp, elegant features were softened by the amber light. In his slender hands, he held a book, which he was reading leisurely.

"I was slapped! You have to help me get revenge!" Kaleigh cried, her voice choked with anger and resentment.

The man set down his book with deliberate calm. His face, pale to the point of appearing sickly, contrasted sharply with his crimson lips. He gently wiped her tears with a finger, his tone cool. "Tell me everything."

Kaleigh's face twisted with fury as she clung to his shirt. "I went to the jewelry store today, and a woman named Tina Reed humiliated me. Look at my face! She's the one who did this!"

The man's long lashes cast shadows under his eyes. His voice was indifferent. "How do you want me to deal with her?"

Kaleigh's tears subsided, but her grip on his shirt remained firm. "I want her humiliation to be a thousand times worse than mine today!"

The man's lips curved into a faint, unreadable smile. Slowly, he said, "Tina... that name sounds familiar."

Kaleigh's gaze sharpened. "You know her?"

The man shook his head, his hand tenderly combing through her hair. His voice was gentle. "Why don't you visit your eldest sister? Don't you two get along?"

Disgust flashed in Kaleigh's eyes as she rolled them at him. "Are you out of your mind? Can't you tell how much I hate her? She's always so smug, pretending to be better than me. If we didn't live under the same roof, I wouldn't bother faking civility with her."

It was because of River Swanson that Kaleigh had been sent abroad for several years.

But during those years, she'd learned her lesson.

So, when she returned five years ago, she pretended to be obedient, acting like she adored River Swanson.

The man chuckled softly. "You know, last time she attended the Pace family's welcome banquet, she secretly took Poppy Swanson out."

Kaleigh's jaw dropped, disbelief flooding her expression. "She's insane! How dare she take Poppy Swanson out without telling Dad? Doesn't she know how important Poppy is to Dad and Grandfather?"

The man's eyes glimmered with intrigue, his tone calm. "She even lost Poppy Swanson. At the Pace family banquet, she disgraced herself and was thrown out. She left Poppy behind."

Kaleigh sneered, clearly pleased. "She's had it too easy at home. Where is she now? I'll go visit her."

The man tugged lightly at her hair, causing Kaleigh to wince. "Ouch! What was that for?"

"You still know pain? Then why don't you think about the Pace family? Their newly found daughter... seems to be named Tina."
