Love and Chaos Series -
The Alpha King’s Ugly Bride Epilogue
The wind blew over Mia's face as she walked through the garden to where she was informed Xavier was waiting for her.
She had paid a visit to the temple to offer prayers after Xavier stubbornly refused to come with her. In his defence, he had never been a fan of temple visits, not since he attacked the priests during his first shift. She didn't push further. She understood him and so she went alone. She was about to leave when Valok, a seer at the temple, took hold of her hand while trapped in a trance.
Her heart skipped a little, but she remained in control and watched what he wanted to do or say. After what felt like ages, he opened his eyes and his orbs shone white as crystal.
"Hail, queen Mia, mother of Wahala's greatest ruler. It is an honour to stand in your presence and foretell the little I've seen." He bowed his head. "The moon goddess knows what she did when she made you blue and also queen."
Mia instantly knew he spoke about her fur and she wonders if he had any knowledge of why she was the way she was. No one had been able to explain why she was blue, but she always wanted to know, wanted to learn.
"It had been predestined even before he was born, much longer before you were born. Only you are strong enough to withstand the magic that runs through the veins of the alpha king." he said to much of her confusion. Xavier had a lot of things, but magic wasn't one of them. If he spoke about Edward, perhaps she would have believed him, but not Xavier, the alpha's king. If he did, she would have noticed by now.
"Only you can temper that magic." the seer continued. "It makes no sense now, but it would in time," he concluded and let go of her hand.
Mia had been in a dilemma since she got home, unable to wrap her head around everything the seer Valok had said to her.
She spots Xavier seated with a book in his hand and an adorable beam arrested her face. He looked so good focused on the book and her naughty mind wanted him focused on her that way, too. Xavier slowly raised his head from the book in his hand, sensing her presence, and smiled.
"Aye, darling." he closed the book and dropped it on the stool next to him.
The beam on her face remained as she strolled towards him, "My love, how was your stay at home?"
"Great, I've been reading Edward's journal. He calls it self-discovery." He stretched his hand to her and as she took it, he pulled her onto his lap.
She gasped and then giggled at the act. "I see you enjoying yourself," she teased.
He rolled his eyes. "It's anything but enjoyment. Edward is an adventurer and as he ventures forth, he discovers things and puts them down."
"Tell me the ball he bounced around months ago isn't a part of his discovery."
His eyes widened. "How did you know? He finally gave it a name; A Basket up ball because he threw it into the basket up the tree a few times." he said and Mia chuckled. "he told me my suggestions are welcome. In the year 1757, Edward Ainsworth discovered A Basket Up Ball. I don't know if I agree with the name yet, though."
"Ah, I see why you've been so focused." She ran her fingers through his hair while he rubbed over her small bump.
"Well, I get the little time off royal duties, I have to make the most of it." he grinned. "How did your visit to the temple go?"
"Great."
"And you two? I hope you're good." he asked, his eyes, darting between her stomach and her eyes.
She bobbed her head, "We are, we received a vision."
"About what?" he gently massaged her shoulder with his right hand.
"The future."
Xavier seemed lost, so Mia continued, "He believes I'll be the mother of Wahala's greatest ruler."
Then she retold everything Valok told her at the temple.
"That's absolutely ridiculous. I don't have magic. Edward's got all of that." He said, looking as confused as ever, withdrawing his hand from her stomach to stare at it as if there was something strange to it.
"I thought the same, but you are the son of queen Layla Ainsworth, a great witch. A little of her magic definitely flows in your veins."
He pressed his lips together, "Perhaps you're right and our child will be the greatest ruler Wahala has ever known." His hand dropped to her stomach again, and he ran a faint caress over the clothed skin there, causing shivers to run down her spine.
He was just as naughty as ever and being outside has never been a reason for his restraint before. She knew he wouldn't start now and she would barely have any objection to him. Along with the news of her expectancy, was the new urge and desire for love, attention and s*x. It had become the norm. She would crave, he would satisfy and sometimes he would just satisfy her just because he can.
She didn't complain; she wanted him as often as she could have him and the child in her took the blame for her want for him.
"I'd like our child to have your eyes and your smile and heart because they are amazing," he mumbled, pressing his head to hers before leaning in to kiss her lips softly. He moved his arms to her back and she wraps hers around his neck while they deepened the kiss. His right hand lifted the hem of her long lacy gown, pushing it up her knee, so her perfect legs came to view.
He broke the kiss and his hand travelled into her gown to explore the parts that very well belonged to him, all the while keeping his gaze on her. She sucked her bottom lips between her teeth as his hands came in contact with her folds and his fingers became coated by her wetness. Posted by FindNovel.net, visit for more novels. He kissed her lips again and his fingers explored further, and two fingers slip in. Her breath hitched, but she kept kissing him, kept returning his kiss, tasting the goodness of his mouth and tongue. Loving it. While his hand claimed the hidden parts of her.
"My king, sorry for the interruption," Valerio spoke up, and the two pull away, "but the travellers from the kingdom of Jade are in the throne room, waiting to see you."
Xavier growled, placing his head against Mia, "Yes, Sir Valerio, tell them I'll be with them shortly."
"Yes, my king." he bowed his head and took his leave.
Xavier's eyes lifted with an apology in them as he stared at his Queen, who just pressed her lips together, suppressing a smile.
"We finish this later. I swear I'll make it up to you."
"You better." She kissed his lips before rising off his lap.
He rose to his feet and picked up Edward's journal and stretched his hand to her. "Please come with me, my queen?" he asked. "Always, my king."
