Caro gasped as they walked out onto the rooftop to find the cozy oasis he’d created. Originally, Craig had only put a couple of lawn chairs and a cooler up here for when he needed to get away and think, but this morning while Caro was resting, he’d hauled up a giant, round two-person lounge chair, blankets, pillows, and even a few plants to make it more comfortable.

“This is amazing!” She walked to the ledge, looking it over in awe. “You can see the whole street from here.”

“Yup, and in about twenty minutes, we’ll have the best seats in town to watch the show.”

When she looked up at him through her lashes, a coy smile on her face, his heart stuttered just a little.

“Twenty minutes, huh?”

Craig tried not to stutter. “Yes, ma’am.”

“There’s all sorts of stuff we could do in twenty minutes.” She bit her l!p and walked toward him. “Now that there are no secrets between us.”

This was exactly what he had been waiting for from her. What kind of a male could resist his female on the prowl?

“Why don’t you come on over here and we can get comfortable before it starts?” He offered her his hand, and when her fingers touch his own, he pulled her close. She sighed into his mouth as his l!ps came down on hers, then there was no hesitation left between either of them.

He pulled her back with him as he sat down on the lounger, letting her straddle his lap as her arms came around his neck, fingers trailing along his scalp and making his wolf growl in approval.

She tasted like cinnamon and sugar, but now her scent was forest mixed with her own unique sweetness, and he wanted to roll around in it until no one could separate her scent from his own. When her as*s settled against the hard length of his shaft, she m0aned into his mouth. He took firm hold of her h!ps to pull her harder against him, letting him control the rocking of her h!ps.

Yes, this is how a mate is supposed to feel against me. Craig wondered at the way she moved, almost as if she couldn’t get close enough to him—he certainly felt like he couldn’t get close enough to her. Craig grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled his l!ps from hers. “Yes, Caro?”

“Yes,” she whispered against his mouth, raising her arms so he could pull the material over her head and toss it to the side, revealing the dark-blue lace covering her perfect bre*asts.

One twist of his fingers against the clasp released the material, and he swiveled to flip her to her back on the lounger, peeling the delicate lace from her pale skin. He stared for a moment, basking in the picture of her, arms above her head, her long strawberry-blonde hair spread in wild abandon around her, green eyes heavily lidded with l**t. She looked like a goddess come to life, and he was humbled that she chose to be with him.

Then the side of her mouth turned up in a sexy grin. “You’re staring, Ranger. You’re also overdressed.”

Caro smiled as she looked up and caught his expression. No man had ever looked at her quite like this. As if she were everything he’d ever dreamed of, as if she were the center of his universe—and it was a heady thing indeed.

“I guess we can’t have that, can we?” He grinned back, that irresistible dimple making itself known.

She was entranced as he undressed, revealing the muscles she hadn’t had the opportunity to appreciate yesterday, and her fingers itched to explore all that glorious tanned skin. Caro quickly undid her jeans and wiggled out of them and her panties just as he pushed down his, and then she got the first glance of his c0ck. “If you keep looking at me like that, this won’t go at all the way I imagined it,” he grumbled as he crawled next to her like an animal stalking its prey.

And true to his word, he began at her ankle, the slow l!cks making her shiver. Craig took his time, stopping in places she never would have imagined could be so sensitive. The inside of her knee, the back of her calf, and when he nibbled along the top of her th!gh and placed soft k!sses over the bare skin above her mound, she was desperate to come.

“The scent of your heat is driving me wild,” he murmured before using his fingers to spread open the swollen, wet folds of her s*x. “You smell like home to me, and I’ll never get enough of you.”

Caro was about to respond to his words when the feel of his tongue l!cking her from her entrance all the way up to her aching, swollen cl!t stole her breath. God, how can anything feel this good?

She gr0aned his name when those talented l!ps wrapped around her cl!t and suckled at the same time that he slipped two fingers inside of her. Her h!ps surged up to welcome them.
