Chapter 491 The Stradivari (Part Three)

Eric was curious about what Brian had said to Mark. He did not hear anything, but he could guess that the two have reached a certain agreement. However, he wondered what kind of agreement could be reached between Brian and a kid, a kid of Little Molly and Spark. "Mark, what were you talking about with that..." Molly thought for a moment then continued, "that uncle?"

Mark gesticulated. He did not plan to tell Molly anything about his appointment with Brian.

Shocked, Molly asked, "He... Let's go!" Molly did not finish what she was about to say and instead, pulled Mark away. She did not ask anything in the end. She took Mark to say goodbye to Russell, and then went back to the hotel together with her companions. Perhaps it was because she was too tired these past few days that Molly fell asleep immediately just as when she was telling stories to Mark after washing her face and brushing her teeth. Mark, on the other hand, was excited thinking about what would happen tomorrow morning, but he was afraid that his parents might find out, so he pretended to be fast asleep.

That night, Spark sat at the terrace alone while the night wind blew. Looking at the stars all over the dark sky, he was thinking about the conditions he would negotiate with Brian tomorrow.

He did not know what had happened between Molly and Brian, but based on Harrow's facial expressions and words, he knew that Brian had a great interest in Molly. He did not know whether he would succeed in persuading Brian to give up Molly, but perhaps his chance of success would rise because of Wing.

Spark could not give him an answer. He could do nothing but wait, wait for the moment he would negotiate with Brian.

Morning came when the sunlight sprinkled to the sea horizon. After the breakfast at the hotel, everyone went their own way. Manny went to apply for a visa for Daniel while Daniel said he wanted to walk around. Molly had to go to Dream to deal with remaining matters related to the concert, Spark, on the other hand, was waiting for Brian to contact him. All the while, Mark was trying to find a way to go to Brian while making sure not to give a clue and make them feel worried for him.

"Ding-dong", the doorbell rang. Mark jumped off the chair to open the door and found an attendant of the hotel outside the door.

"Mr. Spark Su," the attendant walked inside with a smile and a letter in his hands in white gloves. While handing the letter to Spark, he said, "There is a letter for you. Please check and acknowledge receipt." After Spark took the letter, the attendant took out a register book for Spark to sign his name, then he turned around and left.

Spark looked at the letter in his hand, and saw that it was sent from the People's Court of T City addressed to him and Molly. Slightly frowning, he was a little surprised and confused to receive a letter from the court. Spark opened the envelope and took out the letter inside.

"Citation of People's Court of T City....

Cause of Action: Child Custody

Notified Party: Ms. Molly Xia, Mr. Spark Su

Event Correlation: With regards to the custody of Mark Su, a court session will be opened on May 17. In the case that your party does not appear before the court, it will be considered as a waiver of the custody of Mark Su, and the custody will belong to the plaintiff. Plaintiff: Brian Long"

When he read the name "Brian Long", Spark could not help but suddenly open his eyes wide and his mouth slightly opened. He checked the name twice and thought that he might be having an illusion. It was too hard to believe. He closed his eyes tightly and then opened them again, but his eyes were not fooling him, the name "Brian Long" was really written in the letter.

Astounded, Spark looked at Mark, who was looking at him in confusion. Then, he looked back at the name "Brian Long". All of a sudden, his eyes turned narrow, dark, and deep. He tightly fixed his eyes on the name, as if he wanted to penetrate the name with his eyes. Mark walked to him and pulled his clothes, raising his head and looking at Spark. When Spark's sight full of unbelief fell on him, Mark gesticulated, "Daddy..."

Hearing that, Spark came to himself abruptly. He tried hard to suppress the shock in his heart caused by the news, and then rubbed Mark's head and said with a smile, "It's nothing!"

Mark pressed his lips together and nodded. He did not ask any more about what Spark did not want to tell him.

Spark folded the letter paper and put it into his pocket. Then he picked up his cellphone and dialed Molly's number.

Molly's cellphone, which had been prepared by Manny for her yesterday, rang while she was walking downstairs at Dream building. She picked up the phone and asked casually,"Spark?" "Is everything done?"

"Hmm," Molly answered. "I have just come downstairs."

"Mol," Spark took a look at Mark, paused for a moment, and said, "come back early if you have nothing else to do."

Molly slightly frowned as she sensed that Spark wanted to say something but stopped on a second thought. She answered, "Ok, I'm going back right now."

Molly came back very soon. It took only half an hour from Dream Building to Smile Hotel by taxi. When she arrived at the hotel, Spark told Mark to stay at the suite while the two of them went to the hanging garden of the hotel. Tensed and anxious, Spark could not wait a minute to clarify the situation. Mark had become a part of his life. Now, all of a sudden, he found out that his greatest rival in love, a man who's fighting for Molly, turned out to be the father of his "son". Of course, anybody, in his position, would lose his head absolutely. He did not know what to do. It was too much of a news to bear!

"What happened?" Seeing that Spark was anxious and uneasy, Molly somehow felt stressed. She knew that there was something wrong and she was guessing that it was something quite serious.

Looking at Molly, Spark suddenly did not know where to start with the questions he, previously, could not wait a minute to ask. He had never questioned her explicitly, but he had been extremely uneasy for the past two days because of Molly's actions as well as the sudden appearance of Brian. Now if the information indicated by the citation was true, then... what could he do?

Mark was Molly's lifeline, whom she would never ever allow anybody to take away from her, even if that person was Mark's biological father. However, if Mark's father was Brian, would they have a chance to fight for Mark's custody?

"What the hell is going on?" Seeing that Spark was not saying anything, Molly asked again. She started to grow heavily nervous as Spark ignored her questions and the expressions on his face kept changing unusually.

Looking at Molly with his arrogant and fiery eyes, Spark held back his thoughts since he neither knew where to start nor how to ask. After a while, he asked finally, "Mol, is Mark the son of Brian Long?
