Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 493 The Bubble Bursts (Part Two)
The elevator arrived at his floor and stopped. Mark got out and hauled the violin in front of their hotel room. Standing on tiptoe he entered the code to unlock the room. As soon as the door was unlocked, he padded inside silently to check if his parents were home. After making sure that there was no one in the room, he hastily dragged the violin into Spark's room. Sighing happily, he went back to the receiving room and sat down on the comfortable sofa. He was relieved to find that Molly and Spark had not yet returned. He retrieved his hastily scribbled note and tore it into pieces and threw it in the trash. After that, he sat back down with a smile of satisfaction. He was feeling proud of himself for accomplishing the task that he had set out to do. Especially, without his dad and mom knowing that he left the hotel. What an accomplishment indeed!
Just as Mark was silently rejoicing, the news came on and the TV reporter was talking about Spark and Molly. Out of instinct, Mark paid attention to the news. He listened carefully to what the reporter said about his parents. His face gradually turned pale and his eyes widened in shock as he listened to the report of what has transpired last night. Shaking his head, he couldn't believe a word of what the TV reporter said about his parents.
Meanwhile, at Garden In The Air.
Spark was hugging Molly, who was crying like a baby with her face pressed tightly on his shoulder. In between sobs she asked, "What should I do, Spark? What am I supposed to do? I don't want to leave Mark. I can't bear to be separated from him. Please don't let that happen!" Spark tightened his arms on Molly and clenched his teeth. At the very moment, there are no words that could comfort Molly and him for that matter!
Mark was Brian's son! That means...
Spark thought deeply and couldn't help but bite his teeth nervously. The gnashing sound of his teeth could be heard even by Molly. His voice sounded strained as he assured Molly, "You know I will do everything to keep you and our son with me. Even if I have to give up everything, I will do so. You and Mark will never leave me!"
Molly was too far gone in her despair to understand what Spark was saying. His words were just a blur in her mind. She didn't know what to do. She was scared of what might happen next. The only thing she knew was that if Brian really wanted to get the guardianship of Mark, there was no chance that she would win against him. All the odds were against her...
"Little Molly, I could help you!"
Suddenly, Eric's words flashed in her mind. She hastily tore free from Sparks embrace and wiped the tears from her face. As Spark looked at her with confusion, she said, "Spark, I have something important to do. If I didn't come back after a few hours, you and Mark eat first. Don't wait for me to have dinner together. I might be a while."
Molly didn't give Spark a chance to ask questions. She left the room in haste and pulled her phone out as soon as she reached the elevator. She punched Eric's number and pressed the send key. To her surprise, she could remember his telephone number this time. Maybe the exigence gave her great power to do something she could never do normally.
Eric took some time to pick up the phone which just added to Molly's anxiety. Once the phone was connected, Molly asked rapidly and went straight to the point, "This is Molly. Eric, where are you? I want to see you right now!"
Given the seriousness of the situation she was in, Eric was her last hope. Eric wielded as much power as Brian. If Eric really decided to help her, then Brian might fail to get back the custody of Mark. After all, Mark was a minor and she had brought him up in a secure environment for four years.
Looking at the news broadcasting on the TV, Eric replied softly, "I'm in the Flight Media right now. You can come here."
"OK! I'm going there now!" Molly replied readily and hang up the phone.
Eric returned his attention to the TV screen with a naughty smile playing on his lips which gradually turned cold. At this moment, he understood why his cousin said yesterday that he still lost the game at the beginning.
Lenny was standing still, surreptitiously watching Eric. Just one glimpse at Eric's tortured face was enough to tell her that her Young Master is going through a painful period. Her usually arrogant and unruly master seemed to have met his match this time. It broke her heart to see her once carefree master looking so pitiful.
Lenny turned her head slightly to look at the fixated picture on the TV screen. Another anonymous disclosure. Yesterday the love between Spark and Molly was proven to illusory. And even their so-called "son" was not their real flesh and blood. The identity of the kid's father was yet unknown to the public. Today's breaking news was about the court summons sent to Molly and Spark, indicating that the child's real father was making a move for custody. The court would open a session for this case three days from now. The entertainment industry was agog to find out the truth about Molly's love child. There was a kaleidoscope of rumors floating around the grapevine regarding the kid's biological father. At the same time, two versions of the relationship between Molly and Spark were widely accepted by the public. The first one being that when Spark became Molly's boyfriend, he was aware that Molly had a son whose father was not him. However, due to Spark's deep love for Molly, he accepted the boy heartily and even gave him his name. The other version was simple, namely, Spark was cuckolded by Molly!
The blockbuster news hit the public like a thunder from the clear sky. And now, the whole city is abuzz waiting for the next newsflash!
Although there was a multitude of conjectures about who the biological father of this kid was, only the people who had lived in A City for the last four years were bound to know the truth... Who Mark's real father was!
