Felix held onto Ludwik's phone, an apologetic tone in his voice, "I'm sorry, Ms. Valentine, Mr. Lippert... Mr. Lippert headed out on a trip to Eurovoria early this morning.

It was quite sudden, he didn't get a chance to inform you personally.

So... he might not be at home for a while."

"What?" Whitney was completely baffled.

"To Eurovoria? When did he say he was leaving on a business trip?" That's so far, and he just left suddenly this morning!

And Mr. Lippert had indeed left abruptly, and the matter with Florence was something they had to keep strictly confidential from Ms. Valentine.

"Actually, Mr. Lippert didn't give me the details, but it must be something significant related to the Lippert Group! Felix's forced smile froze.

"He left his personal phone with you?" Whitney stared at Ludwik's number on the screen, "What does that mean?!"

Felix felt as if his throat was blocked by a rock, "Mr. Lippert left his private phone with me so you could reach me anytime, in case you needed anything. For the next while, Mr. Doonan and I will take care of you and the kids." Whitney's heart skipped a beat, feeling even more that something was off.

How long is he planning to be away? Was this some kind of entrustment?

Her emotions were instinctively stirred by this man, leading to her feeling anxious and uneasy.

Felix, that slippery eel, was a strict subordinate handpicked by Ludwik. Anything Ludwik didn't permit him to disclose, he'd take to his grave!

Whitney didn't want to waste any more time with him.

Her brows twisted in unease, Ludwik had disappeared without saying anything. Maybe he had said something to the kids?

She needed to head home immediately to sort this out.

After hanging up, Whitney returned to the hospital room, where Tiana was packing up.

Whitney, clutching her phone, frowned deeply, "Tiana, I'll have the nurse take you back to Delight Mansion. I need to check on something at the Lippert residence." "Whitney, what happened?"

"It's about Ludwik."

"Then you handle it, I'll go back to Delight Mansion and see Cherry."

"Take it easy, don't rush back to Sheldon Group."

"I know. Try to stay calm... Actually, about Ludwik, you seem really worried. It's a natural reaction, maybe you haven't realized how much you care about that man."

The morning at the Lippert estate was peaceful, Danny and Sammy had somehow ended up there, chasing butterflies in the yard with Camilla. Hearing his mommy's gentle voice, Danny, who wasn't good at lying, immediately looked at Sammy.

Sammy paused, then signaled to Danny with his eyes not to worry.

They were dropped off by Uncle Ashton early in the morning. Their daddy had rushed off to Eurovoria to find Florence, which might take days or even months since the situation in Eurovoria was unpredictable!

With their daddy not in the country, he was worried Bryce and the Patrick family might target Whitney and the kids again, hence Uncle Ashton was assigned to ensure their safety.

Daddy must have arranged for their security before feeling reassured to leave.

Danny stood up and ran towards Whitney, jokingly saying, "Mommy, see how worried daddy is about you? He dashes off on a trip and just packs me and Sammy off here, saying you're too busy to take care of us. Hilarious, right? He was so detached a while back, hardly looking after me and Sammy, and yet, weren't we just fine under your care?"

Whitney ruffled her son's hair, leaning down to ask, "Did Ludwik tell you where he's off to?"

"Business trip!"

Giving up on Danny, Whitney beckoned Sammy over, her voice serious, "Danny might be clueless, but Sammy, you're the man of the hour. I heard from your great uncle that you went to see Ludwik last night. You stayed at his company the whole night. What's going on with the Lippert family that he had to leave suddenly? Did he tell you how long he'll be gone?"

Sammy knew dealing with mom was no easy feat.

Clutching his tiny fists, despite the nerves, he had his response ready, "Mom, the Lippert family isn't just making waves with aerospace technology, making a comeback, you know?

Actually, a big satellite launching company in Eurovoria took interest in dad's new tech, willing to invest a hefty sum in his research.

Dad didn't want to miss this chance to bring the Lippert family back to global prominence.

So, he rushed off to Eurovoria to discuss a collaboration with this major company."

After listening, Whitney pondered for a moment, a hint of sarcasm in her laugh, suddenly turning to ask Ashton, "Did you know about this?"

"I... I did!"

She continued with a sarcastic tone, "So, I'm the only one out of the loop? How come I never heard about such a big collaboration? And he was in such a hurry, leaving without telling me, keeping me in the dark?" Ashton felt the pressure; dealing with Whitney was like walking on eggshells.

Tongue-tied, he finally managed a sardonic reply, "Well, have you seen your current relationship with Ludwik? You refuse to get back with him, so why would he share his company's secrets with you in advance?"
