Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1250: The Wedding Moves Forward

Earlene arrived at the office and went straight to the president's office.

The secretary couldn't stop her even if she tried.

Earlene pushed the door open and walked in. Rawlins, who was sitting behind his desk, looked up and once he saw her, a look of surprise crossed his eyes. Whirling around, she stood up.

"President, I'm sorry, I..."

Before the secretary's could finish her explanation, Rawlins raised her hand to indicate that she didn't need to say anything.

Glancing at Earlene, the secretary turned to go out and closed the door softly behind her.

"What are you doing here?" Rawlins walked around the desk and up to Earlene.

"I've come to discuss the wedding with you."

Rawlins gazed at her silently for a moment before moving towards the couch, "What do you want to discuss?"

Earlene walked over to her, "The wedding is early."

At that, Rawlins stepped back and turned around, thinking she had misheard, "Move it up?"

The wedding was next month, how else was it going to be moved up?

"Yes, ahead of schedule." Earlene said in a tone that brooked no argument, "I want to marry Hector as soon as possible."

"As soon as possible? How soon do you want it?" Rawlins sat down on the sofa and looked up with a mockery in her brow.

It wasn't right for her to marry Hector in the first place, he was already trying to figure out how to stall for time, and Eloise was now trying to figure out how to get Hector's memory back. The wedding wouldn't have happened at all.

Now she was offering to move it up, and that was bad for him, and bad for Eloise.

"The end of the month. I'm getting married to Hector at the end of the month."

For Earlene, the only way to have peace of mind was if she and Hector were married. Otherwise there were too many variables.

"It's too soon, there's too much to prepare." Rawlins vetoed.

"Then keep everything simple."

Rawlins frowned, "It's your whole life, you really want to keep everything simple?" "As long as we can marry him, even if we don't have a wedding." Earlene said.

The wedding was merely for the old lady's sake.

Rawlins gazed at her and an unexplainable wave of emotions came over her.

Did she feel so deeply for Hector?

For him, she would not even want a wedding.

Rawlins was silent for a moment before speaking slowly, "Hector and Eloise are still married, so you can only get married in a ceremony, not a registry."

"I'll sort this out." Earlene narrowed her eyes, as long as her relationship with Hector was a reality.

The registration of the marriage could be sorted out later.

Rawlins pondered for a moment and asked, "Earlene, are you sure you want to do this?"

"Help me move up the wedding, and on Grandma's side, I'll talk her into getting the operation done." With that, Earlene left.

The moment the door closed, Rawlins smiled, a smile filled with bitterness.

The girl he had cherished for years was going to be someone else's wife after all.

...

Rupert took the two children back to the Khan family.

Brimlad was surprised, "Solomon, Sweety, why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"Little aunt." Rupert called out politely.

"What brings you here?" Brimlad asked.

"They missed my brother, so I brought them over."

"You went to the Bartram family?"

Brimlad had just finished asking when he saw Sweety running over to him.

"Grandma and Uncle."

Brimlad picked her up smoothly and wrinkled his brow when he saw her eyes were red, "Why are you crying? Who's been bullying you?"

"It's a bad aunt." Sweety deflated her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes, and said pitifully, "She won't give us back our daddy."

"Sweety be good, don't cry." Brimlad wiped her tears and gently coaxed, "Some day Grandma and Uncle will go with you to find that bad aunt and make her give you back your daddy."

"Really?" Sweety sucked her nose and asked in a milky voice.

Brimlad nodded, "Really."

She looked over at Solomon, who unlike Sweety, looked calm and like his daddy didn't like to show his feelings.

Putting Sweety down, Brimlad walked over to Solomon, bent down and stroked his head, saying in a gentle voice, "Solomon, if you feel bad, cry out, there's no need to be embarrassed in front of your aunt and grandmother." Solomon's eyes slowly reddened and he burst into tears.

Brimlad was heartbroken and took him into his arms, "Solomon, be good, your daddy will be back soon, don't be afraid."

Solomon smothered his face in her arms, not wanting to cry out.

Because Daddy had said that a man should not cry.

As long as he didn't cry out, he wasn't crying.

"Grandma and Uncle."

Sweety ran over to her.

Brimlad put his arm around her, "Sweety, Grandma and Uncle will make you some nice biscuits later, okay?"

Sweety nodded, "Yes."

Rupert watched the scene with a frown on his face and concern written all over it.

It looked like another way would have to be found to get Earlene to give them back.

Solomon and Sweety were both calmed down by Brimlad's reassurance and both sat in the living room eating their biscuits in a good manner.

Edgar came home and was a little surprised to see them.

"What are Solomon and Sweety doing here?" Edgar asked his mother.

"Rupert brought them to see Hector."

"Looking for Hector?" frowned Edgar, "Are they planning to go to the Bartram family?"

"Already been there." Brimlad wiped Sweety's mouth and continued, "Both kids came back crying and it was rumoured that Hector had a headache when he saw the kids." "Headache? Why?"

Brimlad thought back to Rupert's words and said truthfully, "Probably irritated nerves."

Edgar thought for a moment, "Which means Solomon, Sweety could possibly have brought back Hector's memory."

Brimlad nodded, "That's what Rupert meant."

"And the results?" Edgar trailed off.

"It didn't work out today, and Earlene kicked him out."

Brimlad was angry at the mention of Earlene, "You say she's a nice girl, she's got a lot to offer, why would she want Hector? Hector already has a wife and children, and she's broken up his wife and children, why is she so cruel?"

Edgar looked at his mother's anger and said, "Mum, don't be angry, Earlene is selfish, but we'll find a way to stop her."

Brimlad sighed, "The main thing is Eloise, it was already hard enough for her when Hector forgot about her. Now she's gone to work for the Bartram family as a maid, this is going to be so hard to see Hector and Earlene kissing and making out." "Don't you worry about Eloise, she knows her own mind."

Edgar looked over at the two little ones eating their biscuits; in the past they had run over to him for a hug when they saw him, but today they were both just sitting quietly.

You could imagine how depressed they were.

"Mum, it's hard for you to spend more time with Solomon and Sweety, I have to go out for the evening."

At that, Brimlad frowned, "What else do you have to go out for in the evening?"

"Personal business."

Edgar smiled at her and ran quickly upstairs.

Brimlad watched his back, his brow locked, why did it feel like he was hiding something from her?
